I am an international student, been living at Haigh Court for over 7 months now. I am extremely happy with the accommodation, the maintenance of the property, and the ease of staying and making the place your own. The rooms and baths are pretty spacious, as compared to most of the student accommodation in the similar rate. The friendly staff just help make the place your home :)

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Stayed here for second year, room was nice, as was the kitchen, and the refurbishments seem to have only improved on the place. Great place to stay if you want to be in the centre
Patrick is an awesome staff in Haigh court who is always kind and helpful. The location of the accommodation is great and easy to access the city centre or university. However, there is no communal area for everyone and there are only 2 washing machines. Plus, the place is undergoing refurbishment during the semester so it is quite noisy and asked to move the room which was quite uncomfortable.
Hey there! We think Patrick is great too! We're glad to know you enjoyed your stay! We do apologise for any disturbances caused with the refurbishment, these works are very very nearly now complete! Thank you for your patience!

Hey! This is great to hear!
I’ve had an amazing year staying at Haigh Court. The location is 10/10, uni and the city centre is on your doorstep. I’ve never felt unsafe living here. The flat itself is lovely and spacious & an extra perk that a cleaner comes in every now & again. The receptionist Patrick is very friendly and will look out for you!
We are so happy to hear your feedback! It's great to see that Patrick is a massive star like always!
Incredibly happy with the location as it super close to both town and uni. Lovely people within the accommodation too including front desk!!

HEY! This is amazing to hear!!
Spent 2 years in my lovely room.
Really close to my uni, the rooms are great! I love that they're not the typical hallway uni dorm so there actually a lot of room. The staff are friendly and really helpful.
I have been staying here for 2 years and the property is convenient because it is near to the LJMU and city centre. The staff are very helpful.
I had a great time staying at Haigh court, the building is in a great location with it only being a short walk to my campus. My room had everything I needed and was comfortable. The WiFi was fast and I could do everything I needed to do easily with no connection problems. The buildings staff are lovely and very friendly and are happy to help which made my stay even better.
Hey there! We're glad to know you enjoyed your stay!
