Cygnet is by far the best in Lincoln. Great location and views however rooms are quite small for what you pay.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
It's okay, main problem is with neighbours, they party all the time noisy and uni does nothing. Next to nursery so noisy, really small room with a bathroom for a fortune
Great location and some rooms with great views as well! Decent spaces but depends on roommates as to whether they are clean or not! Not great for kitchen cupboard space but storage in rooms is amazing!
Cygnet is a bit of an underwhelming experience to be frank. I feel like I'm stuck in a flat with 11 other people when it was advertised to me that Cygnet would be a 6-people flat. I didn't fully understand that they had both options, I guess. I disclosed my migraines and expressed that a flat with less noise would be better, but they put me in the 12 people flat anyway. At least there's no mould or rats.
I believe that a lot more could be done on the up-keeping of the apartments in Block C, as when we went home for Christmas, we all expected our apartment to have been cleaned. To our surprise, it was left untouched and nothing was cleansed. Above this, I cannot justify the price that we are paying for the accommodation, as the kitchen appliances were very limited (one kettle between 10 people) upon arriving. However, the locality to lectures/seminars and to the high street is perfect, as it takes no more than 10 minutes before you can run free on your shopping.
Lovely location close to the brayford but definitely overpriced for what you get. When I first moved in my room had clearly not been cleaned at all and the draws and other things were broken. The maintenance team are very helpful but some issues shouldn’t have occurred in the first place. The showers constantly get blocked in many people’s rooms due to the drain’s being too small and the shower temperature is very temperamental either boiling hot or freezing cold. The reception staff are lovely and helpful and the postal services work well.

Value for money is poor when considering other accommodation options in the city. Close to the lecture halls so leaving the apartment at 5 to and still being on time is a plus, but wifi was tempremental unless using wired internet. Wired internet was amazing, as I got about 400mbps download. My flatmates were all horrendous apart from 2, and when there are 10 people in your flat it's not great. Not enough storage in the social area for everyone and it feels lifeless.
