Hey, My name is priya suresh, I m from India To talk about King Edward studio, it was really hard for me to get accommodation for January intake and I was struggling a lot to get one. But then at the end moment I found a person on Facebook who had advertised that the studio is available as he was moving to other place. So I was thrilled to take it because it was according to my budget and also it was a studio, which I was looking since a long time. After moving in to King Edwards I must say that I m in totally love with the place. The reason is because it just feels like my own room which I have in India also I get a lot of privacy. I m completely enjoying my stay here at King Edwards. Thank you so much for the team for letting me move in to this place❤️

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
Good overall but some rooms are more outdated than others some rooms have laminate flooring others have old blue carpet making it difficult to clean compared with wood flooring.
Accommodation is reasonably priced and the location is exceptional - only a 10-15 minute walk to campus. The building is always clean and maintenance issues are quickly resolved. The room is of great quality and the staff very friendly.
A decent accommodation as it very well suits a quiet calm relaxing accommodation. It’s quite independent though as I don’t find it very social due to no common rooms. I love how it is very quiet and private but not much social interaction. Lovely WiFi and great staff linked to point exe too
If you're thinking of staying in Birks Grange Village in self-catering, I'd highly recommend staying here instead! There isn't a lot of socializing in the halls, but I've heard that there isn't that much in Birks as well (luck I suppose). I'd argue though that the best way to make friends is through meeting people at societies where everyone has similar interests. That aside, King Edwards gives you a whole space for yourself, perfect for hosting things with your friends! The bed is on wheels and I often move it to serve as a couch and invite folks over. It's only 2 minutes away from Birks where The Marketplace (grocery) is, perfect for almost all of your grocery needs. The walk to the Forum and campus is easy too (you cut right through diagonally in a really scenic route). The internet is top-notch as well, best internet I've ever had.
Perfect for students who are looking for their own private living space. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff are incredibly friendly and maintenance issues have been fixed extremely quickly. Building is situated close to University campus and St David’s Station. However, rooms facing the train tracks do receive noise from the trains. I have found this very manageable and it has not been a distraction for me. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
The accommodation is always neat which is the best part. The maintenance is always on time. The only down side of the accommodation is that it is a bit far from city centre.
Amazing rooms and good environment to work and live in. More than enough space and very homely. Perfect location to walk to uni but be slightly out of the way
The only downsides I've experienced are: the noise from the trains passing, the lack of interior lighting in the room. The internet is mostly good but went down in exam week for hours. Overall I'd recommend because of the reasonble price and good location.
