I recently had the pleasure of staying at Central Living and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the attention to detail and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The location couldn't be better - right in the heart of the city, with easy access to public transportation and a grocery of shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions just steps away. It made exploring the city a breeze. The accommodation is nothing short of excellent. The room is clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The amenities provided were thoughtful and practical, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. What truly sets Central Living apart, however, is the outstanding hospitality of the staff. They were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as enjoyable as possible. They provided invaluable recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, making my trip all the more memorable.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Everyone has been really nice and the services have been great too.
Perfect location 1 minute from town centre, next to supermarkets, restaurants and a new gym. Rooms have a beautiful view and are modern and clean. Reception staff are all very friendly and extremely hands on to solve any issues or queries you may have. They also provide frequent parties and pizza nights which makes our stay even more pleasant. Highly recommend to anyone looking for accommodation :)
Central Living in Exeter, UK, stands out as a superb student accommodation choice, providing a blend of contemporary living spaces and excellent amenities tailored for students. Its prime location offers easy access to the University of Exeter, making it a convenient and smart option for those seeking a vibrant and study-focused environment.
Lots of events for us to socialise and meet new people living in the same accommodation
I like living in central living because of its location, however i dont like that it doesn’t have a gym , bigger communal area or even study room
Great accommodation! Super friendly staff and great location! Love it here!
in a great location, super close to everything.
Everything is perfect, it is a very quiet place, near to the high street, it is a good location
Central living provides top-notch accommodations for students. Its location is really convenient- it’s only an 8 Minutes walk to St. Luke campus and 23 Minutes to Streatham campus. Shops, clubs and pubs are all nearby. The room and kitchen are spacious and have all needful facilities. The property management staff is excellent and always willing to help with problems. Additionally, the plan frequent activities like pizza parties that facilitate getting to know other students residing in the residence hall. I heartily endorse it to everyone.
It has been a lovely time staying here. The managers are so friendly and show their care and dedication to their work. They make sure everyone is comfortable and they try to create many avenues for everyone in the building to form new friendships. The location as well is amazing as it is in city center and the price is very much perfect, especially for the studios. I can see myself living here again next year and u have recommended this place to loads of friends
I’ve lived here for 2years now and I absolutely love it. The location is perfect to shopping as it’s in the center of town and only 2mins away from my campus. I’ve met lovely people too and the staff are an amazing bunch, who go above and everyday. I’ll be sad to leave when I have to. :))
Brilliant accommodation to stay at! The staff is super helpful with everything. The building is well managed and has tons of social spaces. The rooms are big and spacious and modern windows and kitchens. I had a lovely experience both of my academic years that I stayed at Central Living. The location is very good as well, highly recommend it.
Beautiful place to live, very close to high street! Bang for buck if you consider other en-suites in Exeter. Luke and Melissa are 10/10, very gracious hosts. Couldn’t have asked for more.
Located at a prime location in Exeter. Uni campus and high street is pretty nearby. Overall really satisfied with the service management.
Central Living offers excellent student accommodation. The location couldn't be more convenient; it's close to all the shops, bars, and clubs, just a 5-minute walk from St. Luke's Campus and a 20-minute walk from Streatham. The kitchens and rooms are spacious and very modern. It can get somewhat noisy during the day due to its central location, but with the windows shut, you can hardly hear anything. The Property Management Team is outstanding; they are always ready to help with any issues and send regular emails to keep you updated. They also organize regular events, such as pizza nights, making it easy to meet other students. I would highly recommend it to anyone."
Central living is a great place to live. It’s only a 5 minute walk away from the centre of town so it’s very convenient. It’s has all the amenities of a larger accommodation even though it is a smaller one. The socials are great with Domino’s pizza every other Friday and food and decorations on holidays. Everyone who works there is incredibly helpful and lovely and made resolving any issues incredibly easy. The rooms are great with a large desk and loads of storage including cupboards and shelves under the bed going the length of the bed and the windows are huge. The only things I found difficult are that sharing a kitchen with 9-12 people can be difficult, my flat didn’t have access to the lift but I was on the first floor so it wasn’t too difficult and my window faced the parking complex so I didn’t feel comfortable opening my blinds as there was a direct view into my bedroom so maybe a blurring cover could be added to those windows.
Having stayed in Central Living for two years, I am thoroughly pleased with my decision to have lived there for that duration. The rooms are spacious with large windows that let in plenty of natural light, and the proximity to the city centre is amazing. All of the management staff during my time there have also been very lovely and approachable people, and I can't imagine it being any easier to get any issue resolved. If facilities such as dedicated study areas and a gym etc are important factors, there are probably better options out there, as Central Living only has one communal lounge at the time of writing (I personally prefer a full-sized gym anyway and am happy to study on campus too). However no accomodation can be the absolute best in all areas, and Central Living's modest size adds to its cosy and friendly atmosphere in my opinion. Overall, I would defintely recommend Central Living for student accomodation.
Staff are really friendly and helpful. The room is in good size and it is locating in the town center. It is easy to access to all locations.
I have enjoyed my time at central living. All the staff are friendly and nice. Only problem is that the rooms get really hot during the summer other than that I have enjoyed the stay.
The design of the room and kitchen is aesthetically pleasing. The kitchen being especially spacious. The location is very good, it is very close to campus, to town, to grocery shops, and to the cinema. It also has really good security, with multiple doors requiring a card, so the accommodation feels very safe, not to mention the friendly and extremely helpful receptionist. Overall, its a great university accomodation.
The location of the property is very ideal and convenient as it is close to the high street. The property management staff is friendly and helpful, they organise events which help the residents to socialise and get to know each other. The rooms are also well maintained and queries are attended to quickly. If you’re looking for accommodation that is fun, vibrant and in a prime location I would definitely recommend Central Living.
I am so happy living here. The staffs are really helpful!
The Property Management team was kind, considerate and amazing. At the end of my tenancy, my new accommodation got delayed and the Central Living Team offered to provide free accommodation whilst I was waiting. All in all, it's a very affordable accommodation, student friendly. Close proximity to all student clubs, city centre and stores. Highly recommend.
The room is very spacious, and the kitchen has everything you may need, plus there's more than enough storage space, both in the room and in the kitchen. Immie (at reception) is extremely nice and ready to help with anything you may need!
Absolutely amazing and friendly staff. Room sizes and prices are student friendly and communal area which comes equipped with a pool table and a cinema size television is ideal.
Lovely spacious room, nice kitchen, and very helpful reception. Immie on reception is excellent
The accommodation is very modern and clean, and in a great location near the city centre. The staff is very kind and approachable! I would highly recommend this accommodation! :)
Great location, friendly and helpfull staff :)
Great management and good location!
The location is very convenient, close to the city center and shops. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is quite new and modern with nice views from the rooms and the kitchen. I really enjoy living in this accommodation.
An excellent accommodation. The staff are very supportive and helpful when you turn to them. Though there are less social activities than before during this pandemic, the accommodation has done a great job on keeping students safe. Public facilities are sanitized regurally as I could see. A very good place for such an accommodation.
Staff was very helpful with any issues on hand, excellent location and amenities for the prices on offer. Definitely worth it.
It’s a lovely building with a good location, however some of the furniture is easy to break with little use.
Central Living is an excellent accommodation that is situated in the city and therefore close to shops, bars and clubs. There is a friendly atmosphere and the management are very quick to solve any maintenance issues.
In the city centre so good for going out. Facilities are really nice, with good sized kitchens and rooms.
Excellent facilities, modern and spacious rooms/kitchens. Lovely and helpful accommodation staff. Really close to city centre so perfect for going out!
You get what you pay for. Nothing more nothing less (a room and a kitchen).
Overall a good accommodation, it is in city centre so is convenient to get around Exeter. Got a good view out of the kitchen window and it’s a nice area to socialise with flatmates. Staff are very helpful and friendly if you ever have an issue they will help resolve it as soon as possible.
Really Lovely place, could do with a bit more investment put into it as things broke quite easily as they were cheap. Changing half the bike park that doesn't get used into a mini gym would be a great idea.
Fantastic clean and modern building in an ideal location, virtually in the centre of Exeter. Staff are friendly and approachable, and the building is maintained to a high standard.
Perfect location, very close to town! Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Central Living is an excellent accommodation. It is conveniently close to the city centre and High Street, as well as St Luke's Campus. The management staff are absolutely fantastic, and they are always there to help when needed! The social spaces are always kept well clean, and I am lucky to have lived with such an amazing group of people!
Great location in the centre of Exeter, new building with decent space for students.
Location is really convenient, the building is new and clean.
