really good wifi and cleaners come in once a week and thoroughly clean the kitchen and corridor! also great value for money and fact on campus makes it so much easier to attend university and have loads of establishments such as co op and uni food hubs that perfectly accommodate students
Keynes college is an extremely accessible flat, that is cleaned weekly. The flat has appliances such as kettles and microwaves, ovens and two fridge freezers depending on how many are in the flat. The only thing they don't have is a toaster which can get annoying at times if you don't aquire one. The cleaners are weekly, however they sometimes sit on your kitchen couches for hours before leaving, which is awkward and odd. The rooms are spacious and contain everything needed. Just be wary of the bathroom which is a wet room that can sometimes contain large amounts of mold. Some appliances like light bulbs and hoovers need to be updated, however the site team visit very quickly and fix any issues that may cause a problem promptly. Would definitely recommend Keynes.

I stayed in Keynes College - catered. This meant I had 2 meals provided a day, breakfast and dinner. Having meals prepared for you is a great way to save time cooking and is perfect if you aren't confident in the kitchen. It also means that everyone eats at similar times meaning that meal times are a great time to socialise. Rooms are very similar to self-catered Keynes, with en-suite bathrooms and plenty of space and storage. The only downside to this accommodation is the small kitchen, but as you don't really need to cook this isn't too much of a problem.

Water didn’t work for a bit. People smoked weed indoors. No social area. Radiator broke. Dreadful

Excellent location with easy access to the college bar, library, Co-Op, bus stop and gym. Clean and spacious kitchen with good amenities. Rooms are decent sizes and are clean and comfortable.

Keynes is located in a great spot on campus, you are almost as close to the centre of campus as possible while also being far enough away to sleep without disturbance. The halls are managed very well and the people that look after the halls definitely deserve a raise. The cleaners usually do some wiping down and dusting then sit on their phones either in your room or in the kitchen so that takes some getting used to especially if you're asleep when they come in at 8 a.m. Keynes is lucky to have a "bar" near to the accommodation. Of course, like everything at the uni it is ridiculously overpriced but again if you're parents are bankrolling you then it shouldn't bother you. Also if you are strapped for cash, you have to remember to keep that to yourself, the international students are all very rich and so are most of the students from the UK. You will receive no sympathy from anyone for talking about money as most students like to play "poor" to get you to do or get things for them.
Keynes flats are incredible, easily as good as Turing but much less expensive. Had a wonderful time, plus the en-suites get given a once over every week by the cleaners which when its your first year living away from home can be a great help.

I love in the part catered flats. Not being able to cook sucks and I wish the provided us alternatives for cooking. I’m not even allowed a toastie maker. But it’s fine because I still bring it in and use it
The rooms looked like prison cells. Extremely small and cleaning often halls were rarely done.
Close to the main campus, offers a variety of options, from food to drinks and even common spaces.

I lived in Keynes in my first year, and am living on campus again in my third. It is really nice accommodation. There was a bit of a hassle with getting my room, I put down on the application that I had diagnosed OCD and depression that meant that in order to be comfortable living on campus I needed an ensuite. I offered evidence which was ignored and I was put in shared bathroom accommodation. They quickly remedied this and put me in an ensuite once I contacted them. However, upon moving accommodation (of my own choice) they put me in a flat which had been reported for truly shocking cleanliness issues (3 month old mouldy plates and goo smeared on the table, 2 months of trash bags piled up) not accommodation's fault, but I would have liked a heads up as I thought it was an anomaly when I saw the flat and took it. But in the end, they moved me to a really lovely flat in Keynes, so although a bit more organisation may help things run more smoothly, they really did go all out to help.
(Flats) Turing college is better value for money because XL rooms are way bigger than Keynes flats'. get XL for double bed Rooms- the toilets are wetrooms but it's honestly not that bad. It's quite soundproof honestly but if you're in the hallway you can hear what people are doing in their rooms. You can't hear the people next to you unless they're SUPER loud. Blackout curtains are great. Noise wise, if you open the window at night to sleep and you're facing the main door it can be loud esp if u r on the ground floor Distance- 5 min walk to Essentials/Venue, 7 min walk to the Library, 2min walk to central campus' bus station, 2 min walk to keynes lectures Cleaners come to clean your toilet and kitchen biweekly, they always clean the stairs and corridors and keep it in a nice state! Social experience is good- you can go to flat/house parties there but there's a common room/kitchen so you can mingle with your flatmates a lot! Hopefully you get nice, considerate 7 other flatmates!

Great value for money and in a nice location
great place, poor placement of like minded students
This is everything I hoped living in uni accommodation would be. The location is in my opinion the best on campus, with the main uni bus stop, Venue and main campus all a short walk away. The accommodation itself was great. A good size kitchen with enough space for a dining table and two sofas. The single rooms are quite spacious with a huge desk and lots of shelving storage. Even the ensuite wetrooms which I was a bit apprehensive about was really useful. As for the social side, use freshers week to your advantage and knock on everyone in your flat/blocks door, and maybe host a house party to meet everyone. Admittedly Keynes is quite expensive, for example is the same price as the new Turing accomadation. However (for me anyway) being a lot closer to campus made Keynes more desirable and I'm so happy I made the decision to choose Keynes.
Keynes is very expensive but facilities are ok. They should have locks on cupboards in the kitchen so people do not steal your food! And in the bathroom the water goes everywhere due to it not having a step to seperate it from the floor
Great location, rather expensive. food could use a bit more variety. No real common room to use for more people, which is a big drawback.
Considered on it's own? Extortionate. Considered against the other grotesquely overpriced colleges? Better than splashing an extra grand on a built in microwave in Turing and certainly better than pissing thousands of pounds up the wall to live in HM Prison Rutherford. Go hard or go home, (just not Turing hard).
Had the best experience in Keynes halls! Excellent location if you have a 9am at Keynes (or even Marlowe or Eliot)! And of course 3 minutes away from venue! Also great for those who enjoy woodys and parkwood housparties!

It is quite expensive. Yes the food is included and the quality is mediocre but the rooms are quite small. The kitchen is pretty disappointing compared to other halls. I understand we are provided with food but a small room with 6 chairs, a microwave and a small communal fridge is not called a kitchen.

I'm so glad I'm paying the obscenely high price for Keynes. I have an en suite and my room is almost the size of the one I have at home, plus the bed is bigger. I have lots of desk and shelf space in my room, as I do in the kitchen. The kitchen is shared with 7 other people but I wish they would give us personality tests or something before we moved in so I could have ended up with people I get along with, but that's the only drawback. Overall Keynes flats are brilliant!
So much space in the kitchen and bedrooms with lots of storage space for your belongings. En-suite facilities are really great and of a high standard with a good working shower! Kitchen is large and great area to hang out with friends, especially for pre drinks as there is a large table and sofa area to chill out in. Facilities in the kitchen are easy to use, with two of everything! Overall, loving this acccomodation as its so easy to make yourself feel at home and also has good social life!

The room is big. The flat is clean. There's plenty of space in the kitchen/ communal area and any problems were quickly solved
It is quite expensive but nice rooms as well as very convenient and social. Be careful as they tried to charge me for things that were already broken when I moved out despite reporting it when I moved in they did nothing about it. Some of the facilities are bad particularly sofas and seating in the kitchen that constantly falls apart.
It's a lovely hall but the cleaning staff sometimes just didn't show up or were busy and didn't offer any alternatives
expensive but worth it, the only downside is no lift, the rooms are a good size, sofas in the common room, good location on campus.
If your lucky enough to get a double room then it is the best campus on accommodation.
The hall is surprisingly expensive at nearly £5000 a year with a shared bathroom, single beds and it is self catered, sharing the kitchen with 9 people. The kitchen is always a mess too and even the cleaner sometimes doesn't clean it so we have to, which we didn't think we would have to do. However, it is on campus so is in a good location and is good for first year students to socialise.
most expensive accommodation on campus at the time, mainly due to it's proximity to it + it's newness. similar flats were available in parkwood but for around £1500 less!!
Great rooms, shame that the social space was tiny, but we all crammed in anyway and got drunk!
Big kitchen with an area to socialise and have people over, the en suites are kept clean by staff and rooms are big with lots of desk space.
Best halls at Kent but the price is prohibitive for many
Some of the best memories of my time at uni happened in these halls, good times but pretty expensive, I would still fork out those grands to do it all again mind you.
I absolutely love living in Keynes; having an en suite and the kitchen as it is, is so worth the extra expense.

Clarify part catered keynes. So the en suite was great. The room is small but storage is quite good.The food at dolce is good...Rutherford weekend food not so good. Socially You can get stuck with people you really hate or you all get along. Pot luck. No common room so you may be stuck in your corridor/room.

At nearly £6500 per teaching year, I shouldn't expect to be able to move floor tiles in the bathroom by hand. Cleaners are friendly but can be inconsistent with what has been cleaned. The path between Keynes Block and the bus stop is partly made of honeycomb tiles (which are useless in the winter as the dirt/rain from the middle of each tile creates a mud bath) could be improved, compared with the new paths around Turing Block, this pathway isn't in good shape. Finally two morning per week a 'train' of large rubbish bins is driven past Keynes Block, across a cobbled pavement causing tremendous noise, waking both me and the rest of my flat up every time it happens. This combined with with early morning leaf blowing and hedge cutting in the early mornings isn't what you'd like to experience during your first year at uni.
