I would not recommend this university at all. As a postgraduate student they seem to be out to make it as difficult as humanly possible to complete my course. So many promises before I arrived, but as soon as you've paid your fees that's it. They don't care anymore.
Good experience so far in staying. Good social neighbours and friends

By member670631 On 5th August 22 Verified studentIt has been an amazing experience at BPP, they get you ready and running from day one. The focus on students is very commendable. And as a student voice rep, I can authoritatively say that all efforts was made to better the lives of students at BPP, every student can attest to this from the numerous workshops, seminars and events organised for students. And on graduation, students are equipped with the right tools and information on landing their desired job.
Thanks so much for your feedback, we're delighted you had such a great experience with us.
LLM Legal Practice (Solicitors)
By member970373 On 23rd July 22 Verified studentAlthough teachers were amazing and the classes themselves were alright, the administration of this school is appalling. Most DISORGANISED and unhelpful institution created ONLY to make monies. The communication with the administration team is absolutely terrible and as soon as you pay you are left alone. This is the only one thing they care about- to get paid...

Thank you for your review.
I'm giving top marks on all of the above, and not without reason. Value for Money The course itself is well-designed and although it's one of the more expensive courses of its type, the support you get makes it completely worth it. Teaching quality Every tutor I've had has relevant experience in the area they teach and often brings in relevant examples from their working lives. Personal Tutor I'm very lucky, my personal tutor is fantastically supportive, friendly and engaging. You can tell he genuinely cares and he constantly goes beyond what is expected. Course Content The course focuses almost exclusively on building vocational skills that will be essential in your future career. The course is not 'academic' in the traditional sense. Job Prospects I can't conclusively answer this until I apply for work, but the reaction from chambers and firms when I tell them where I study has been overwhelmingly positive.

LLM Legal Practice (Solicitors)
By member869436 On 11th June 22 Verified studentThe quality of the communication and support from the University has deteriorated considerably over the course and is now so bad that you just receive next to no announcements or communication at all. We've resorted to requesting information by communicating between ourselves as we're left clueless as to what is going on with classes, modules aren't being uploaded to the Hub portal to allow us to start the learning and the most recent exams were full of spelling mistakes, questions didn't make sense or in one case the actual question and scenario bore no relevance so we had to guess what we were supposed to answer for a 16 mark question. When this was queried post the exam we were just told we'd be given marks for any sensible answer so we're left to wonder for months if we've even answered it properly despite this being an issue they've caused. As a mature student paying for the course myself I question the value for money of the course. Do your research.

The admin are dreadful but the teaching quality is decent
Waste of money for international students as they pay more. The BPP Manchester has no campus with teaching in few levels of a building. Pros: 70% of the tutors I have had are skilled and helpful. with maybe 10-20% dont know what they are teaching. Overall pretty good. Cons: As if there is no admin team. Don't expect you will get response from BPP for an emergency case. Normal queries take months to get response unless it's a finance related case usually. Currently, I am facing an issue where I already paid exam fees via BPP's OWN payment gateway a month ago and unable to see my results due to outstanding payment when it has already been deducted. Despite I have sent the payment proof already, I still not yet get a response and unable to view my results. BPP management team does things last minute. Despite there is a 3 sits for an exam, you only get told there is a resit or the time a month before the actual exam.

Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Finance [ACCA route]
By member1368628 On 2nd May 22 Verified studentThe course fees is more expensive for international students and definitely not worth. I studied at BPP Manchester. There is no campus and it's more like a college than uni where teachings take place in few levels of a building. Pros: The tutors I had were 70% very skilled and helpful with maybe 10-20% not really knowing what to do. Overall is pretty good. Cons: It's as if BPP has no admin team even though it does. It has been TIRING dealing with the admin team. Don't ever expect you get help in an emergency case. Unless it's a finance related case, prepare to wait months to get a helpful response. Currently, I am facing an issue where I paid my exam fees online via BPP's payment gateway. The payment went through a month ago and now I am still dealing with the query team despite I have the payment proof. The management team does things last minute, you will get notifications of whether there is resits availability and time only 1 month or even few weeks before.

Their support system almost doesn't work at all. No personal tutor provided even request, no english support. They are short staff to saving. You may get reply after 3 months, or no reply at all. 3. 50% chance to have rubbish tutors. Tutors some are really amazing, but at half of them are rubbish, they just want the salary, they didn't preparing what to teach us. And some of them seems don't understand the module topic workbook too. That funny. 4. I guarantee the bad reviews are trustworthy.

Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)
By member767558 On 25th March 22 Verified studentI cannot explain how much frustrated I have been with this course. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone so please listen to the feedback from the former students - it is all true and yes, this "institution" is not worth your money. First of all, you cannot get A person whose name and surname you know to actually reply to you or to deal with your issues - it is all being redirected to some anonymous people so to reduce direct accountability and proper work. If you call them - they will not pick up. Ever. Unless they need your money - then they are very responsive. If you have an issue, you need to raise a query and I waited for some responses for more than 7(!) days. Secondly, it is the most unorganised university I have been to (and I attended three unis before this - 2 in EU and one in London). They cancel workshops 30 minutes before the actual workshop and then NEVER reschedule them. I had workshops which I spent hours preparing for and NEVER attended the actual class.
Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)
By member1167077 On 10th March 22 Verified studentIf I could leave 0 stars I would. This was the worst decision of my life to study here. Absolutely ZERO support from tutors and the so-called ‘support staff’. Communication skills are horrific. No one picks up the phone and are still blaming COVID for their staffing issues…it is now March 2022. They then tell you to use the Student Query form, which takes 48 hours (if you are lucky) to get a response. Everything takes days more than it should and they clearly do not care a single bit about their students. I emailed the head of the course over 5 times over a month period and I had no response each time. When asking for help from a tutor about the work load, they referred me to the university student support system that offered absolutely no help whatsoever and suggested I managed my time better. The infrastructure is also terrible, using outdated learning platforms which even the tutors have no idea how to use, and an intranet system that crashes every 5 minutes. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I just can't describe how friendly everyone is here, and how amazing all the tutors are. I have experienced both the online classes during the pandemic as well as the face to face classes for the last few months and both the experiences were great. Overall, my experience at the university has been thoroughly enjoyable, engaging and rewarding. The academic and administrative staff have put in a great effort to maintain high standards of education and student support over the past year. I am very thankful to them and am looking forward to my last semester!

By member962220 On 8th September 21 Verified studentAbsolute worst university to ever exist. As International student, I had mentioned about my visa status before joining the University and I was told there should not be any problem and I was told to get in touch 3 months before my visa ran out. In order to sort the visa, I was trying to get in touch with visa team from the start. I was told to pay upfront as well. As per the suggestion of admin, I tried to contact Uni help through phone, e-mail. I was redirected uncountable times. I even went there in person to get help. They sent me back saying all these enquiries are dealt through email only( The e-mail takes 1 month plus to get reply). The staff on the university were extremely unhelpful. When I asked for refund, I was told I was already enrolled and cannot get refund because they did not reply in time about my visa problem. I am certain that they did not reply to us to deliberately not give refund. continue in next review not enough space to write whole story....

I know there has been a pandemic going on but BPP have been absolutely awful. The online teaching software always crashes (over a year in to online teaching and this hasn't been fixed), there are numerous mistakes and software issues with online exams which is extremely stressful as a student, the classes are not engaging at all and it seems like everyone, the tutors and programme leaders included, simply don't care anymore. A lot of the materials are outdated - there are still references to the 2019 Solicitors Rules and Incoterms 2010 when I am writing this halfway through 2021. There is no person you can contact about problems with the course or just for support and every communication with BPP is just defensive and not productive at all. Finally, despite the library being shut for over a year due to Coronavirus, they have now just announced the libraries are to shut again (they've been open about a month) until 21 June (when exams are finished) because of building works?
We are so sorry to hear about your experience, and would love to help you resolve this. I am the Programme Leader for London - please do get in touch on laurahall@bpp.com and I can try and resolve some of your issues. Thanks
LLM Legal Practice (Barristers)
By member1158194 On 19th May 21 Verified studentLLM Awful experience, more expensive than all other providers but they are reducing the course cost for the next cohort even though they will get face-to-face contact with tutors, a privilege we did not receive. Tutors would not reply to emails, show up to seminars or afford us with the same respect or courtesy we were expected to give to them. We constantly were given incorrect deadlines or different students were given different deadlines (giving them an advantage.) No online provision was made for initial exams despite COVID being known about well in advance, so we were forced to sit exams in person or exams were cancelled two days before. The service provided is very impersonal, not worth the money paid (at all) and needs a complete overhaul to be worth even the reduced cost.
We are so sorry to hear about your experience, and would love to help you resolve this. I am the Programme Leader for London - please do get in touch on laurahall@bpp.com and I can try and resolve some of your issues. Thanks
BPP is honestly the worst university I have attended, and probably the worst in the UK. Myself and the rest of my cohort have experienced endless problems such as: - BPP putting the wrong material in our exams. - Receiving only three sentences of copy and pasted feedback in our mocks. - Poorly written study materials. - A significant lack of support from lecturers, particularly close to the exams. - Many issues with registration leaving many of us behind. - Near pointless lectures (essentially we are all placed in breakout rooms and told to discuss the work, there is very little help or guidance from lecturers). - No sample assessments or any form of structural guidance for the exams (essentially reducing the exams to potluck). The issues have been discussed with the head of the PGDL, but we were told nothing would be done to correct them. Please don't just take it from me, the Inns of Courts have also criticised BPP publicly... BPP has put me off pursuing law as a career.

Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)
By member1254414 On 21st February 21 Verified studentCompletely disorganized. I know this was the first year that they offered this specific course, but it felt as if they were just making it up as they went along. The tutors are (mostly) very good and helpful, but the administration is laughable. One of my tutors was extremely poor and yet, even as we all complained, there was no option to change. The personal tutor was unhelpful and was stingy writing personal references (requirement for many law firm applications). I asked to change personal tutors seeing as I needed an academic reference, and they refused. There was very little guidance on how to get above a pass in the exams, and the feedback on the mock exams was ridiculous. The pro bono team had a lot of opportunities but the competition to participate in any of the projects was really tough. There were some good career events, but the level of feedback on applications and CVs varied wildly based on who actually looked at your work. Some were more helpful while others were not.

The LLM programme at BPP is brilliant. The programme leaders go above and beyond for students. They are always ready and willing to deal with all our queries and with superb timing. Absolutely fantastic place to study My lecturers were very approachable and helped with all my questions; they are currently or have worked in the professional field, so give practical advice. I received brilliant supervisor support on my dissertation, and I enjoyed how the tutors, lecturers were professionally orientated. I found the LLM at BPP help equip me with advance skills and knowledge in a specialised area of law. Within four weeks of completing LLM, The Law relating to Fraud and Financial crime, I got employment for a fraud investigation and compliance training company. I am also considering studying towards a PhD, and I believe the research work I learn at BPP has given me the confidence to do well in any further study.
Thanks so much for your positive review, we're delighted that you have gone on to a successful career.
In a nutshell, a mickey mouse "university". - Incompetent lecturers who do not seem to care about its students - Lecturers do not even reply to student's queries about modules and assessments thus the high fail rates - Followed the exact assessment guide given and yet failed with no remarks from lecturers as to why - The "university" is basically sustaining with the high additional fees for re-takes (£475) and re-sits (£75) for each module - Paid for the Placement module but afterwards, was emailed 'this module has been designed to allow all students to complete their Master’s with or without a work-placement' which came obviously as a shock to many students. - Incompetent admins and staffs who pushes you to different staffs and departments and take weeks to answer a simple query. *Avoid this Micky mouse "university"

By member744085 On 28th November 19 Verified studentBPP is an amazing university to study your apprenticeship at as they have degree awarding powers. This means that i can still obtain a degree after doing my A levels without attending University full time! The apprenticeship has allowed me to work at a law firm 4 days a week and study at BPP one day a week online. This lets me apply what i learn in theory in practice.
Thank you for your positive feedback, it's great to hear the benefits of studying for an apprenticeship as the springboard for your legal career.
Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)
By member1043878 On 21st November 19 Verified studentBPP is a very career and profession based university. The aim is to prepare students for the rigours and needs of their chosen profession. Tutors and teachers work hard to get students up to scratch. They're welcoming and ready to answer any fears and queries students may have. Student advice though needs great improvement (though the Student Admissions team over the phone are eager and very professional). Likewise facilities and advice needs to be more consistent across sites. And many of the recorded lectures are dated. But the study materials are free and delivered very promptly & kindly to our houses. And my programme leader is great and there for any/all queries. Also Learning Support have been quick and flexible for my needs. BPP is a university eager to help their students succeed and give many pro bono (internal & external) opportunities for students to access. They also taking mental health very seriously and training staff & students to be mental health first aiders.
Thanks so much for your comprehensive review. We are glad to hear of your positive experiences and will take the feedbackon board to help to continuously improve the service we provide.
I started in September and I haven’t regretted my decision even once. From fantastic tutors to a bespoke careers service, it is a privilege to say that I am a Law student with BPP University.
Thanks so much for your review, it is great to hear you are enjoying your time with BPP so much!

By Kimberly Myra DSouza On 21st November 19 Verified studentThe tutors give practical advice as they have experience in the field. The Student Voice Representation helps generate confidence among the students in what the university has to offer. The deans and authorities pay attention to the feedback from students and strive to better the numerous campuses. I'm looking forward to the next term!

Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)
By BPP21112019 On 21st November 19 Verified studentBPP is a great place to receive legal education. There is an emphasis on providing opportunities for students to use their studies as a platform for a successful legal career. The student experience is very different to more 'traditional' universities. It is a more professional environment which may disappoint some but is personally conducive to my studies. The teaching quality has been pretty good across the board and tutors generally know their stuff. Don't really have many complaints - the university has so many campuses across the country with specialisms in different centres (e.g. LPC in Holborn, business in Shepherd's Bush) so I imagine the experience may differ regionally but my experience has been a positive one for sure.
Thank you so much for your feedback, we're delighted that you are benefitting from our professional environment and focus on preparing you for your successful legal career.

Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC)
By Md Wahid Asif On 22nd October 19 Verified studentI have just finished my Bar Professional Training Course in BPP University at their Birmingham campus. I can tell that it was an amazing journey. Not only they are highly qualified but also they were very friendly and helpful. The study materials that I received from my university was also rich and complete. Besides this, all of the departments were keen to help the students. Finally, their tution fee is quite reasonable than others.
Thanks so much for your positive feedback, delighted to hear you had a great experience and found our tutors and study materials so beneficial.
Undergraduate Masters in Chiropractic
By member942105 On 11th September 19 Verified studentThe 4 year undergraduate course is based in Oxfordshire, Abingdon. If you’re looking for a university experience this isn’t for you, the main lecture hall has 100 seats but each year has roughly 20 or less students. Some may prefer this as you can get to know everyone and it also makes it easier when practicing the techniques as you don’t feel uncomfortable working with someone you do not know. I think the small class is useful as the lecturers can focus on everyone especially with the personal one to one sessions with the tutor and student. I feel as though lecturers want you to strive and achieve your best which is extremely useful for when you graduate with a good result. This course focuses on the Mctimoney technique which is very different to the usual Diversified chiropractic technique, however, this also expands your knowledge of chiropractic techniques and allows you to treat a wider range of patients.
Thank you so much for your comprehensive feedback. It's great to hear that you benefitted from our small class sizes and practical focus on your Chiropractic studies.
good university, there are lots of facilities.
