My overall experience at University of Westminster Marylebone campus is amazing. I have supportive teachers who are always eager to help and support me with my assignments. The WEA provides so many opportunities for me to learn and grow my network and gain new skills. The friends I have made since starting at the university are ambitious and passionate about their careers which motivates me to work harder and more efficiently. The security staffs is always there with a friendly smile and ensures that I am safe once I arrive. The facilities on campus are kept clean and sanitary.
The administration of this university is just insane. If you ever need anything (need to make a complaint, have a question about your visa, need to change your address so your degree certificate gets posted to the right place, need confirmation you can work when it's not term time, etc.) GOOD LUCK. You will never really find the help you need. Everything just gets funneled through the Student Centre, which is barely helpful. If you ask for a phone number for any department, the students working the online chat will just tell you that "there is no phone number." You will never be able to directly contact the department you need. Any complaints you make will never be escalated; they will just close your enquiry and never do anything about it. They really are not there for students at all. It's so sad, especially when so many are international students who need extra guidance and support. Really, really hate this place!

in my personal review i’ve been loving the school so far. the people are nice and funny, the teachers know what they’re talking about and everyone has a unique and freeing fashion event. i think this university was the exact fit for me as i never had to hide myself like i did in sixth from. i’ve never gone in one day dreading it (albeit for biopsych) because there is a new idea everyday and a new interesting subject i learn !! i do think we should be guided through the assignments a bit more as it’s honestly confused me a lot but i think that’s down to the individual, apart from that i’ve loved it so much

Multiple campuses with varied amenities. Students Union is active but disorganized; it's visible on campus in terms of logos and ads, but not much information on what they're doing. Clubs and societies are free and easy to access, but less variety than I expected.
The first few days are very calm and can be quite overwhelming as there are a lotttt of people from all ages and background but once you find your people it’s a really chill place to be
I have been liking my university as there is a very nice Islamic society for muscling brothers and sisters. This gives a chance to meet new people and make some friends. The careers service at my university is also amazing as loads of opportunities are offered to us throughout the year!
I am newly enrolled to this university, i have just had the freshers week and went around the university i just had a great experience as there is a lot of space for different types of people to just relax and also do work . Furthermore, there are many areas around the university to visit and the library is very beautiful. There are a diverse of people and they are all very nice and helpful.
Overall when I joined University of Westminster , I really love the experience the uni has provided for us , starting from facilities to opportunities to new careers gave me a huge push up to keep focused in my course , also the staff members are really friendly and kind , if we don’t understand a certain topic they will be their to help us. We have personal tutoring every once a week so that the teachers can know more about the students and that is what I love about my uni. There is so much more but it is a whole bucket list , I will shorten up here . I hope you will like my review. Enjoy your day go the fullest.
personally this university has nothing lacking in facilities wherever ur eye falls upon in the university there will always be something to cater your needs wether it's employability services or student unions. This university is underrated but I guarantee you it is not lacking in anything.

This university unexpectedly overtime became one of the best choices of my life. No university is without it's flaws, but in general, I could not be happier with the facilities and career placement help provided by my University. The lecturers are actually trying to get to know you and help you become your better self. The canteen food could be improved definitely. But if you're considering studying in the harrow campus, I hundred percent recommend.
I love the free gym membership, and discounted cinema tickets! I was also able to maximize the free counselling support.
Theres a variety of clubs such as different sports, languages, art, games etc and if you don’t find the right now for yourself you can make one your self. I really like how there’s a website where you can apply for internships, volunteering, work, placement and there’s always staff helping with cv and through the processes.
Welcoming university for international students and friendly academic staffs
As an undergraduate, there are lots of opportunities for students when you walk through the door - from the variety of sports and societies (free to join!) to student jobs. The lecturers are helpful and communicate via email a lot of the time throughout the week and any other general queries can be addressed by the student centre - a very versatile and helpful team. The libraries are stocked to the brim on-campus and online, so there is plenty of subject material available. The main campuses in central London are within a short walking distance from each other, for Harrow - a short train ride and you're there. Every campus has social spaces and each has a distinct feel to it. Free breakfast and a nice lunch deal are other perks of being at the uni, useful here in London. Employability and academic services are also friendly and there for students seeking placements or help with improving essay work. Overall, I've had a great time so far and am excited to embark on my next year here :)
It's a great place to up your education. Lovely teaching staff and a wide variety of internship and placement opportunities. It also has state-of-the-art facilities for the students and loads of fun societies, and clubs that you can join. It also has a really enjoyable and diverse atmosphere to it as well. The Campus Tours are highly recommended as you get to learn a lot about the University.

Westminster has a high level of education and support for students. Staff and teachers are organised, friendly and always willing to help students with anything they need. The courses are taught in small classes to encourage a personal and community feeling. This enables students to get to know each other within the campus. The campus is very central, making it easily accessible and in the heart of London, always vibrant and exciting! The clubs, societies and gym facilities are all free to use for students and a great way to meet like-minded people or venture outside of your comfort zone. The university offers a range of help for careers and students are encouraged from the beginning to think about what they want to do in the future and several tutorials are used to learn about which skills to hone in and workshops to attend for your future endeavours.

I really like the teachers, they are usually very helpful and engaging with the assignments. They also give me useful feedback towards my work. Career centre is also good, they have helped me with my CVs and cover letters.
I am excited to be returning to University of Westminster for my second year as a student. My first year experience was great, the professors were knowledgeable and helpful, the campus was beautiful and well-maintained, and there were plenty of extracurricular activities to get involved in. Very good uni. But too many campuses
I had to re-do one of my subjects, due to receiving low marks from tutors. Basically, I felt really discriminated and opt-outed during my whole course. While my colleagues were receiving 70% or higher percentage marks for assessments, if they were mixed up with me for group tasks - out of sudden everyone were receiving below 50% marks. I was always hard-working student, doing all work and in a meantime dealing last year with staying in the hospital, having some health issues and private matter problems - where I had to fill up few times mitigating circumstances forms. However, despite my active participation, effort, creative ideas for writings (which I consulted always with professionals before sending out), I was always receiving on systematically shown up basis - low marks. I re-edited my work from the subject which I was not allowed to pass from = and still received for it a very low total mark, similar to the previously one given. No motivation was shown, no adequate support.
Pretty average. Just put the effort in and you'll do well.
I was expecting to get more information that would help me become a professional in the industry, but we have got relevant knowledge neither in the 2nd nor in the 3rd year of studies. Many online and offline lectures contained 1h+ youtube videos that we could watch in our spare time and free of charge (since the education is expensive, it means that we paid for watching youtube videos). The information we were given from the lecturers was mostly extremely basic, and I would get more knowledge by passing a short course rather than having three years of studies for £29000. Some of the teachers were rude and showed their unprofessional approach toward me when I asked for additional feedback regarding my assignments, which were, in my opinion, undervalued. That's not enough information to avoid making the same mistakes again. We also were unsatisfied with the assignments we had to work on due to the constant repetition of the tasks from year to year.
Because of covid i would say its been harder to find out about things through online websites and such. But generally its a good university
I have loved studying at the university of Westminster. The different campuses to access and the huge library set up in numerous buildings are a highlight for me. I do wish there were more sports societies closer to the other campuses.

I did two degrees as an international student at this university. 5 years I dedicated to this institution to be completely taken advantage of and unsupported. My MA fell under lockdown where i had 0 in person class time, had a traumatic injury that caused me to postpone my dissertation date and now they have taken away my 2 year graduate visa. They do not care about your well-being or career success, only your money. Biggest waste of my life so not support this institution.

Uni was hard but people were cool
Personally I don’t really like the university, the foundation degree I started on was falsely advertised about the course so I ended up studying something I didn’t want to do. The work I submitted was critisced regularly as the lecturers didn’t personally like it, I study photography so they were very judgemental about a lot of things. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this university as they never showed much attitude towards me as an individual and we’re more focused on the work being tailored to their preferences despite the quality of it.
God the teaching here is awful, for 9,000 pounds you'd think you would get more than one lesson a week.
Love my course and teachers very much. I've been to campus exactly 1 time during my first year and it was very exciting and cool, everything went smooth BUT I'm very disappointed that I spent a year paying for teams lectures and drawing in my dorm room. I'm still debating whether or not this was worth the trouble of moving countries.
Well, I had the best three years of my life at the University of Westminster (2017-2020). I was based at the Harrow campus, a couple of minutes walking distance from the town of Harrow which has plenty of shops and places to eat. Facilities at Harrow campus were great. The library is on three floors, with thousands of books and areas dedicated for private study. The teaching staff who taught me for my degree were all brilliant. All were helpful and supportive and made the lectures, workshops and seminars interesting and engaging. Despite being older than most of the other students (I was at the tail end of my 20s when I started my degree), I found it easy to get along with almost everyone and I met and befriended some really lovely people from all over the world. I am proud of the University of Westminster. No, it isn't a Russell Group uni, but in my view it is hands down the best university in London - in fact, the whole UK. I am so grateful for my time there.

Harrow campus is lovely but miles away from the city. Students from abroad will be shocked if they are told that their study would take a place in the heart of London. Some lecturers are fairly good. University's student service staff is not helpful, provides poor service.
Without doubt , the WORST university in London (if not the whole of UK). Don't be fooled the 5-start reviews here...they were probably posted members of staff of the university. Academically it is horrible, welcome to textbooks and the Youtube...and you will pay at least £9250 (more you are an overseas student) for that privilege. Want good lecturers, helpful and available tutors? You won't get any of that at Westminster. (It is 92nd on the UK University League Table in 2020). Unsurprisingly, the degrees issues here are largely regarded as worthless on the job market. I graduated in Law LLB in 2016. Despite gaining a 2:1 degree and relevant legal experience, my earning are still the same as they were prior to my enrollment at Westminster. I still have, however, a £27.000 debt to the Student Loan Company...that has not gone down in 4 years... All in all: avoid the University of Westminster. Go somewhere else.

I did my Bachelor's and Master's at the university of Westminster. I had a great experience and I am very much going to miss it, the campus facilities are very useful and the staff are very friendly and supportive. It is a diverse atmosphere with students from different backgrounds and cultures it is a very welcoming and supportive environment.
This is truly one of the WORST institutions in the UK. I did masters in architecture there and trust me, it was a complete waste of money. The staff is so utterly useless, my tutors had no clue and didn't care. The lectures were also extremely useless, I learned more during CPDs at the architecture practice I worked in as a Part 1. The assignments were useless - you don't end up learning anything, they are just tick box exercises. On top of that, it is all 100% independent study, no guidance from tutors whatsoever..welcome back to google and youtbe! This is a shout out to everybody who is about to waste their money by doing masters there...go to a different university where staff actually have dignity about what they do and trying to help you.
I'm in my second year and losing all hope. I hate myself for choosing this uni. 1 hour lecture per week, the seminar that follows that lecture is the most useless thing on the planet. We also have a 3 hour workshop, doing nothing. It's mostly independent study, youtube and google. I can literally pass this semester by staying at home. I came here to vent because my depression and anxiety is at the highest it's ever been. I can't believe I'm going to be in debt for i don't know how many years of my life because of my own stupidity. Just don't come here. It's not worth your time and money.
I study at Harrow Campus which is nice and big. The library is brilliant, there is a separate floor for silent study which I love, as well as a floor for group/social study. The societies are lacking a bit, there's not many and they are not very well advertised, so I found it hard to actually join any. There's a lot on offer from the careers service, I'm in my 3rd year so I will be making use of some of these services very soon but I haven't yet. The other students at Harrow campus are really nice and artsy, honestly feels like a very welcoming, open and inclusive university.
I had a very bad experience at the University of Westminster. The teaching methods and the teachers are completely useless. Really big waste of money as no one is there to actually teach anything. A part from the facilities and the photography technicians everything else is really bad trained and not helpful at all. I studied Contemporary Media Practice, and I think there is nothing worse then that course. Anything I learned is what I learned from internet, the only good things are the facilities and the fact that you can use them ( when they work, cause if they don't work, they take a very long time to fix them).
The most racist and ableist institution in the United Kingdom. If you are of Jewish of Romani Gypsy origin, or you are simply disabled you should never , I repeat, never even consider coming to this place. There are other, better universities in London where you would actually feel welcome and treated fairly.
I am currently here as a study abroad student and let me say that I am so happy I only chose to stay for a semester, I would have withdrew had I chosen the year by now. I am so incredibly unhappy with the type of students that go here and the way everything is set up from the lectures to the accommodations. As much as they try to convince you, Westminster is not a great university, they practically accept everyone and it shows. Had I not spent over 10k to come here as an international student, I would have left by now and accepted the loss of a semester (I’m still considering it though). The only way you’ll be happy here is if you love to party and hang out with friends, if you’re here to get an education then run the other way. I’ve been here for two weeks and I’ve never experienced such intense depression, anxiety, and alienation in my life. I’m about ready to kiss goodbye thousands of dollars just to save my mental health. If you have high standards for education, do not come here.

Very good university to study your undergraduate or post graduate course
I am sorry to say this experience is not what I expected. The focus on the social sciences instead of arts confused me, as I was studying Museums,Galleries and Contemporary Culture.The approach is rather theoretical and philosophical with little or zero aplicability in practice. Instead you are asked to do things that you have never done before like a professional curator, without being explained how. You can only guide yourself on the internet or the past assessements of the previous students. A very hard task, and they think that leaving you alone means to test your "creativity".Some feedbacks are biased and no information about how to do things right if they think you are wrong. You have the impression you have learnt nothing that would help you on. your future career path
A very bad University. The quality of teaching is very poor. Most tutors/lecturers (with a few exception) are poorly trained. or simply don't care. Tutor feedback is almost non-existent. If you are a disabled student, you are likely to face accessibility problems. The admissions are also bad, lots of immature students who bring the rest down. Choose a better university.
Very good university. I like the help I get, without pressure. Before I joined I noticed they answered all my emails (compared to other universities, who ignored my emails) I have known previous Westminster students who have ended up with excellent jobs.
I would not recommend this University to anyone. If you are a parent reading this, I would strongly you NOT to let your child go to this University. Plenty of lecturers/tutor do not seem to be qualified for this job. (Albeit some were good). The campus was overcrowded and had accessibility issues. Careers Service and the Student Union were useless compared to other universities. Just go to a university more worth your time and money. Admissions are terrible, most students on my course were immature.

I could go on and on to write a lot of stuff about this university but I will keep it to the minimum. as a postgradute student at westminster university, It has been the worse year of my life. If you are reading this and you are parents, I highly suggest not to allow your sons or daughters to apply for this university. It is full of people who are not mature at all and also the lecturers are not helful at all from every prespective. I went to a different university before and when I applied to do my masters at Westminster University, I lost the hope of become the person that I always wanted to be with my first class LLB Law Degree. It does not offer anything than depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. paying £9000 for your course will just go down the drain and you will not meet people who are acting like adults. very unprofessional individuals god have brought to this university, as I was one of the unlucky one, with high expectation and qualifications.
This school is not worth going to. I spent a semester here and the admissions are terrible, the classes are more like independent studies. I feel like I could have learned most of the stuff taught from a book. Good teachers but the curriculum does not help it students grow at all.

This is the absolute WORST university I have attended in my life. I am a study abroad student and if you are looking to study in London, stay WELL AWAY from this uni. My first week here both elevators for the residence hall were broken and I had to lug my 2 suitcases up 12 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS. Throughout the semester, they would get stuck and be out of order (which is a huge inconvenience for the handicap). They do a fire alarm test every thursday morning at 10:30. Staff comes into your room even if you are not there, to change the shower head, do bug control inspections, etc. There is mad construction outside the university waking us up around 7am every morning. You need your student ID to tap into and out of the Marylebone campus. They only provide 6 scanners so its a cluster f*** when people are trying to get in and out. The staff will not let you bring any friend back to your room with you without signing them in, providing them with a temporary pass. This uni is S***.
Do not come to this university. The teachers are really biased when it comes to grading. They all want you to fail and they do not support you nor your work. Poor teaching as well. It does have potential.
The university is quite cheap when it comes to the facilities and campuses, especially central. They are often crowded, load, it is impossible to conduct the self-study. The Union is perhaps helpful, but i never needed any help from them. Careers Service never came to help either. There is some variety of clubs, but it feels like the choice might be better.
I've never met a bunch of more toxic and narcissistic and sometimes racist people in my life (photographic arts BA), and hopefully never will again. The staff are good as well as the facilities, but it is a toxic environment like nothing else I've seen.

Their Faculty of Science is a joke. Most unfriendly and homogeneous student body I ever encountered. Academic staff are lazy and unconcerned, it is common to have lectures cancelled or not hear back from tutors for weeks. Life Sciences department keeps pushing their alternative medicine programmes, which to my opinion only bring the credibility of the department down. Administration is either overwhelmed with work or just lax.

The university is very diverse, with great location in the heart of London. This allows students especially business students to network and make good contacts that will be very valuable after graduation and even can lead to potential work while at university. Great and very good trained staff with up to date data and courses taking into account recent trends.

Westminster is a great place to study. Situated in the heart of London, you build so many great connections and meet so many people around the world.
The science and technology faculty lets down the entire university. Throught my time there I found the organisation to be very poor - last minute room changes, little communication, inconsistent lecturers and unhelpful administration staff. Students have to be VERY proactive and check everything done by staff as (for example) the admin staff didn't enroll me properly on one of my modules and I didn't have enough credits for my first year. The accommodation isn't very good being very overpriced and poorly maintained - people living in Wembley also end up spending £90+ a month just on their Oyster card for travel. However, the bursaries and help available to students are very generous. The SU is very hands on and some of the societies are brilliant. The other faculties (media, arts and design as well as humanities and law) seem to general have more positive than mine though. The university isn't generally well respected within London however.
