So far having a great stay everyone is nice and the free breakfast every morning is great way to start your day here :D

Excellent place to study for everyone especially foreign students. They have a heart bigger than their size. Very supportive throughout your study. 5stars
The university is uniquely positioned to offer a familiar, classroom like teaching experience, and is located around historic Lincoln and the cathedral. Would recommend for new students
Student Union is good for students however more clubs and societies could be offered.
Beautiful, old campus, familial and friendly, fun SU and supportive tutors. No complaints - oh, and matriculation!
Very quiet campus but a good uni
Amazing uni - fantastic facilities
Bishop Grosseteste University is a brilliant university with it historic landmarks that remind for years and the teaching is excellent for all areas of the industries.
Amelia was amazing, she was so helpful and kind and really helped.
A small uni but very lovely, lots to do on campus , sometimes hard navigating round but very well signposted
Lovely space, feels very homely
BGU is a great place to study. Due to how small the campus is it has a very welcoming and homely feel to it. The best part about BGU is because it’s so small, your lecturers will know you by name and are always willing to help you if you need it.
The university is stunningly beautiful, the campus is small with great facilities and friendly staff.
A homely environment and closely knitted community!
The staff and campus are marvelous! I feel at home here and like I have a real family! Since it is a small Uni there are not tones of society's bit anyone is welcome to start one. Oh, and the SU serves warm beer that takes an hour and a half to arrive minimum, buuut it stops you spending loads. Or, you do what everyone else does and order 10 pints at once then go back to halls realising how terribly fantastic the choice was :D
Studied here for three years on an education studies course. The course lacked a general polish and was mostly theory based, which isn't great if you wanted to become a teacher and it often felt like it was overshadowed by Primary Education BA Cons. Campus is pretty and there was plenty of support.
I think you’d struggle to find a friendlier university experience. The close knit community is something very special. I studied here as an undergraduate, studied at other larger universities in between and have returned ‘home’ for my doctorate.
The uni is the best i looked round and i have been studying there for three years and i plan to stay for as long as possible. it has great facilitys and is a great uni to go to if you want a family feel. also the su is top class
Having the best time! Everyone is so supportive!
I love the campus - the library is fantastic and the networking is good
Having a fab time in Connies! I recommend anyone and everyone to join!
Fantastic uni quick responses and lovely surroundings
I struggle to find many positive things to say about BGU. The main reason I chose it was desperation, they still had places on the course I was interested in at the start of October. They are also the nearest university to me. The quality of teaching in my opinion is highly variable. Some lectures are great, some really appear to be nothing more than tick box ‘employability’ sessions. Difficult questions regarding employment opportunities (even more relevant in the world of covid-19) are met with a shrug and obfuscation. Part of my course taught some highly contentious pseudoscientific topics with links to shockingly bad websites that should not have been part of any course of education. Communication is often non existent. Tutors often ignore emails and I find student support doesn’t exist. Blackboard and email. Perhaps it’s my account, but blackboard is a mess. My calendar is empty, there is no course info. WiFi is ok, but some gaming sites are blocked.
Great uni for trainee teachers, student union is tiny though.
I first liked this university because I thought it was cute and small and that I would be able to find my way around quickly, everyone seemed friendly! What a massive mistake. This uni is like the budget "poundstretcher" version of everything. The facilities are really very poor, they invest all of their money in making the university look good and attract other students and very little on the students that they actually have. In height of uni year many of the car spaces are reserved for special "guests" visiting uni so you as a student have to go and park over the road or at yarborough there was a flood of complaints about this last year as loads of people got ticketed! Uni did nothing. Have not facilitated study abroad as promised (before lockdown) had our flat on campus broken into told we should pay for campus cameras and took 4 days to fix window! Could go on forever but not enough characters unfortunately. Big regret.
Uni feels like such a personalised and homely experience, and the lecturers couldn’t do more to help you if they tried
Great university, small but you get to know tutors on name basis!
Bishop Grosseteste University is the lovely place with a friendly environment that allows all students to feel comfortable and express themselves. The Students' Union is always there when support is needed.
Overall brilliant university, so glad I chose to come here.
Would love there to be more societies, if there isn't one the answer is often ' make your own' but sometimes you just want to take part and not have the responsibility.
Free wifi all over campus is a bonus when it works!
Overall a good university. Student advice is amazing and the campus itself is clean and beautiful.
DO NOT EAT AT THE REFECTORY GOOD LORD IT'S ATROCIOUS. The SU could do with a little more outreach? and the way that the societies were organised at freshers this year was atrocious too. but yeah overall pretty good
I love the univeristy, being a small uni it has a lovely community feel. The only problem with it being small is the societies are limited, but it is a price you have to pay for a small uni.
Although the facilities on campus are good I feel that the SU could be improved to make it somewhere I would think about going in the evening for a drink with friends, it sometimes feels a bit 'clicky' with SU related people. There's a really good range of clubs and societies to join.
The campus is small and there's mostly girls so if you're looking for a boyfriend then you'll have to look at quack/props at the engine shed with UoL because there's limited choice at BG. The SU is average, it has a bar and does some events but they're not that exciting. The sports societies aren't bad - they go compete. There's a gym on campus but there's a bigger leisure centre with a swimming pool about 5 minutes away with much better facilities. The refectory restaurant and curiousitea cafe are nice for lunch and aren't that expensive. The SU does chips and burgers etc apparently but I've never tried it.
SU is too small if they want to expand the uni.
It's been good. I had issues with my accomodatoon in the first semester but the student advice helped me move and are sorting out contracts for me.
Great university! The campus is great, the tutors are fantastic and the communication between the staff and students is amazing too!
lovely campus, especially at night, good services, and is very accessible.
Lovely campus with a lovely community atmosphere.
I love this uni as it is small so people don't just get lost in the system. The campus is beautiful and all of the cafe's on campus are well priced and serve good food!
The campus itself is good, though events going on always seem to be pretty limiting, usually geared towards first years with parties, or drama student performances. With campus open to the public, that gets frustrating at times too when wanting to get a quick drink or something to eat between lectures on campus.
student Union is good it's just a bit small and cheesy. The societies are rubbish most of them. The facilities around campus are mostly good apart from it would be nice if there was a little shop of you ever needed supplies and also the washing machines are quite annoying as you have to only use £1 and 50p coins.
BGU is ace! Has everything you need and more, staff are so helpful. I actually enjoy attending BG, it's not like school, you get a chance to be your own individual :)
Lovely little university with really lovely and friendly people.
The uni itself Is really nice, student union is gross
Absolutely amazing experience, real community feel to the university which makes it very personal.
The SU is full of awesome people who alway help!
BG may not be the biggest university going but that doesn't matter! It was the best 3 years of my life!!! Everyone is so friendly and it is a unique experience
It's a small university but still so many things to do! There's a big focus on people who don't like clubbing therefore the student union are constantly doing things, a mixture of quizzes, bingo and parties. The student Union executives are volunteers and work super hard! The library on campus is incredible, the children's library section is so inspirational and helpful when planning activities for placement. My only small complaint is the wifi, it's slow which is understandable considering the amount of people it has to cater for. However the accommodation team have listened to student's complaints and are in the process of installing new wifi. My favourite thing about BGU being small is the amount of people I have met, everyone is so friendly!
Great university with lots of opportunities with amazing people
My time at university was, on the whole, great! Lincoln is a lovely city. Plenty of shops, great nightlife and a beautiful historical part, up the hill. I had to resit my 2nd year for personal reasons, and the university fully supported me during this. The library has fantastic resources, and if books aren't available they will happily order them in for you. The S.U is somewhere you can always go to have a good time. They hold really good events during the week and are also a great source of support. My course was Drama in the Community which suited me down to the ground. There were plenty of opportunities for extra curricular activities which always helps to make you stand out from the crowd in terms of employment. Being a drama student at BG meant you had an extra family as the department is fairly small, and everyone looks out for one another. I am now employed as a TA in a primary school. I'm so glad I spent 4 years at this university.
The campus is beautiful the people are amazing and the nights out are awesome.
Not the biggest of universities, the facilities seem OK and not much to grumble at its infrastructure.
A great experience, top job prospects, real family feel to campus and staff, good location in small but vibrant city
I have loved being here so far, the people are lovely and the site is always so clean and fresh. The only let down is the WiFi but that's being sorted soon.
Very friendly staff here, always happy to help. The facilities are good and the career and employability prospects seem very good.
BGU has the ability to be an amazing institution, however the students and the staff have a very different vision for the future of the university. The university as a whole spend far too much money on the retail area and not enough on things that directly affect students education.
Wifi is terrible! Sam and Ricky from the SU are so much fun and always help us!
internet is bad, everything else is good
Quite a good university, good quality teaching and super facilities. If you're looking for a big university with loads of rooms this is not the uni for you,
Fantastic university, just the Wifi in halls was terrible!
The campus is really nice and everyone is friendly and welcoming :)
Small and pretty, lovely atmosphere
Lovely, small university with an amazing library but unorganised staff and courses. Admin not dealt with efficiently and lectures etc constantly being changed at short notice. Wifi in halls is rubbish (although I think it's being changed) and wifi on campus not much better. Student union could do with a bigger bar as many people are turned away due to there not being enough space- especially during freshers.
I enjoy going to university here
The university is small but there is a friendly feel to campus. :)
I came here knowing no one, now ive finished my first year with the most fantastic people on an inspiring course. Cant wait for next year.
I have loved my degree in education studies with SENI and would not have changed any part, the experiences were invaluable.
Absolutely love BG! Having the greatest time doing my degree and I couldn't have picked a better place!
Loved being at university here, will be four years in total for my BA Hons and PGCE. Personal support whether you have additional needs or not. Really nice campus too!
Fantastic staff, campus and courses. With fantastic employment opportunities
Wifi was terrible, however, we got the provider changed towards the end of the year. Not really any job opportunities on campus but have a careers building. Society's sometimes practice at times which are unavailable for students.
