I have had an amazing experience at Newport Student Village so far! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home. The atmosphere here is incredible—both the staff and the people are genuinely kind and supportive. I never imagined I would feel so comfortable while being away from home. The staff at Newport Student Village are truly outstanding. They are always available to help, making student life much easier. A special shoutout to **Ash, Rosana, Jake, and Sue**—they are incredibly sweet and always go the extra mile to assist us. Ash, in particular, is always around whenever we need help, which makes a huge difference in ensuring we have a smooth stay. One of the best parts of living here is the **huge common area**, where students can cook, play games, relax, and socialize. It’s a fantastic space to unwind after a long day of studies. I‘ve been positively surprised by the facilities and the staff in general. Always helpful and quick to respond.
Access to all the equipment you can imagine, WiFi powered by eduroam which I can't seem to get to work! Lecturers are fantastic and make integrating into the uni so easy.
The campus is great and very easily accessible.
University of south wales is amazing to study in. I'm happy to come to Uk for this course. From lecturers to every member of University is amazing. Library facilities are lush.

Some courses are way better than others. I regret choosing my course but the equipment and technology were allowed access to is the best part.
usw is a great place to study, great amenities and lecturers are lush
Great university. Most teachers are incredibly talented. Noisy classrooms, internet and a more engaging learning schedule could be improved. I’d wish it was more than 2 days of 4 hour classes every week.
So yeah the fees is little expensive and rest is fine
I would highly recommend the university to any International student, It has a wide range of great facilities to support the students in their studies and also qualified lecturers who are available to assist.
My time so far at USW has been unforgettable. I've made so many friends I will keep with me forever. I spend almost everyday at the Artrium campus, whether it be having lunch in the zen bar or studying in the library, USW has created a convenient and comfortable space for students and for that I am most grateful.

The university is okay despite the decline it has experienced in recent years. Good course but students could use more support/help especially students from low income backgrounds due to cost of living crisis.

Great university for its purpose, as a cyber student the quality of computer systems is really important and USW do their part in making sure that their students have the tools that they need to do their work. However there is no student union that I am aware of.
General good experience for university. Good tutors and good course facilities. Less of a social university because of the placement but is right in the heart of Cardiff

It’s good enough. You go and learn. The rooms are good but equipment for filming seems to only have issues, if that be with the actual broken equipment or the loans website not allowing students to book out equipment in time. There are no clubs other than 1 that I know of, for an arts campus it feels like it should feel more colourful and livelier. The plain white walls on every floor do become a bit scary after a while.
my experience with the university of South Wales as a whole has been pretty good. Treforest/pontypridd campus has most of the facilities, societies, student union presence and is the biggest campus by far. I'm at Newport campus though. There are 2 societies and barely any facilities, the student union is basically non existent at this campus and it's clear that it is underfunded. Most of my lecturers are great but there are some that are the definition of death by PowerPoint and claim to offer support about the course but it's like talking to a brick wall

WiFi can be slow at times, at the Newport campus there is very little societies and clubs to attend. There is extremely little activity from the student union, if there is any.. not advertised very well. However, facilities that are available and staff are great at Newport campus

Good modern campus with relatively good WiFi, only the occasional drop. Good choice of societies, however most are at the Treforest or Cardiff campus not here in Newport.
The Newport campus is just one building, but it is great. With a nice view of the River Usk, the Uni is really well equipped with technology, private studying rooms, and its own Starbucks. The library is well stocked, and laptop loans are very easy and convenient. Not to mention, the variety of shops and restaurants just across the road to pop in to between lectures. I couldn’t complain about a thing!

Facilities could do with an upgrade, WiFi is sometimes hard to connect to. Clubs are definitely lacking
Studying BSc Psychology at the University of South Wales has been such a rewarding experience! The course covers so many interesting topics, from health psychology to therapeutic interventions, and the lecturers are super supportive and knowledgeable. They make even the tough concepts easy to understand. The best part is the practical side— there are loads of opportunities to apply what we learn, whether it's through research projects or lab sessions. The resources here are great too, with access to amazing facilities and plenty of help when you need it. The campus in Cardiff is a bonus-such a lively, welcoming city with lots of places to study and relax. I've learned so much and feel ready to take the next steps in my career. If you're thinking about studying psychology, l'd definitely recommend USW!

As a student at the University of South Wales, I have found my experience to be quite fulfilling in various aspects. It’s an ok uni, in the process of redoing buildings, but current students are suffering as a consequence. Not too many societies, but student union is ok. Teaching is varied, and not too much academic support.
This University is a nice place. Every faculty member's are friendly also there are a lots of facilities for an International student.

Wifi is great and super easy to get to places and do things around here. I keep walking around the place its great
good staff and facilities, honestly just a pretty general usual university. hardly any societies for cardiff, they’re all located at the other USW campuses which is inconvenient so most people never join a society. the student union has regular student gigs. only complaint is that the uni shuts at 8pm weekends and 10pm weekdays, as a library that’s open later or even 24 hours would be great.

I enjoyed my time at university of south wales, the campus is big and easy to get around. Not many food spots on campus but in an ideal location so it’s quick and easy to walk into the city centre
The campus u go to has a very creative atmosphere so it has like minded people to talk to which can inspire you for projects. The course I’m on has lectures who are supportive and very interactive with you. They also organise fun socials to get all the years on the course interacting so you can learn so much more.
Not had a great experience here - feel like the university doesn't really care about the Cardiff campus at all just the Trefforest one.
Enjoying my time as a student here, the lecturers are very nice and helpful. The facilities is also enough for the students. A bit improvement needed for activities that students can participate without going to different campus location. Overall, it was amazing
