Love the uni and the city. cant fault it at all. lovely sense of community and great clubs
Great facilities and provides everything one would need to complete their studies. Lots of cafes and places to sit and study located across the campus. The nature that surrounds the campus is probably one of the best aspects. Perfect balance of plenty of club and society nights for those who love to party and go out, but also many quiet, chill spaces indoors and outdoors for students and staff alike to relax or study.
Been great loved getting to know everyone
The university is not very supportive
Switching University's to move to UEA was one of the best things I could have done. I love my course and how it allows me to shape my interests around what I want to study. My lectures and seminar leaders have given me confidence to believe in myself as well as gaining this from joining one of the many clubs they have to offer.
Great location , great environment!
I would definitely say its a very vibrant place to study. There's always stuff and activities going on on the campus to keep you engaged and occupied at all time if you're not sure what you could do during your free time. I had the chance to try unique sports that are not very accessible back home and I'm really happy that it's a very open and welcoming environment that enable me to blend in comfortably.
Left from London to start anew and fresh. Really wrong choice for the area/location. Norwich is predominantly filled with white racists even amongst the university staff and students. I’d highly recommend other similar south Asian ethnic backgrounds to avoid at all costs!
Beautiful campus, and an inclusive environment that makes you feel at home.
very good university, the environment and facilities is very good
Very good library and gym facilities
Generally a good university for studying and meeting people whore like minded, the signal and wifi however is horrible on campus
Great university great facilities. Good sports park. Good gym
great uni despite all the drama going around in the news
Pretty mediocre university located in a small city which can become very isolating quickly. The campus has a fairly large SU for its size and I think it puts too much effort into it rather than individual course teaching quality. The LCR is nothing to write home about, and they really hike up the prices of drinks for the students compared to other places. The university has suffered severe financial losses and has built up a lot of debt in the last few years so will be interesting to see how it plans out. The university also seems to take advantage of international students, especially those who study in INTO into legally binding contracts that are hard to avoid, and seems to provide poor quality education for the price they pay. The quality of education through lectures and seminars can be very hit and miss, with some lecturers having very poor levels of english and can be hard to understand. The library is very nice though, and props to the postal room staff who are great
I've been really enjoying my time at UEA so far. If you're looking for a well-respected University in a low-key, but still interesting and exciting environment with plenty to do, I would highly recommend the University of East Anglia. They have a wide selection of courses ranging from medicine to humanities (not to mention, Matt Smith studied Drama and Creative Writing here).
Very nice and new labs which was good for me as I am a chemistry student
The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a nice place to study.
I love my school. I encourage others to come study here.
It’s a good uni, I’ve enjoyed my time here thoroughly. Campus is always really nice to walk around especially in summer.
Great university with great courses. Great student support team.
UEA is a really good university, i would recommend!
UEA is an amazing university! It has incredible facilities (the library and Sainsbury center being my personal favourites) and it is extremely welcoming and inclusive. We are offered many opportunities to socialise and make new friends.
The societies are good but the lectures are usually useless and the campus is really ugly
The uni is huge, but loads of signage and maps available to students. Timetable system has been a bit of an mess this year but has improved. Teaching is good and ample support available to you. Lots of places to eat :). Easy to book library spaces.
The uni has a lovely surroundings. The facilities for lectures and sports on campus are great. However, the price of the accommodation is way too high for what we are given. The political stance of the SU is ridiculous banning military representation such as wearing uniform on campus during remembrance.
Great university, facilities are outstanding, more than adequate, lots of options for spending time and usually not enough minutes in the day to physically do everything you want to do. Wifi is questionable but currently being upgraded, or so we’re told.
Very nice place to study, really enjoying my experience here
Absolutely loved my four years at UEA in the School of Environmental Sciences.
These last three years have been some of the best of my life. The campus is beautiful, the number of clubs and societies available is insanely extensive, and the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. I can quite honestly say that I can't imagine myself studying anywhere else.
Good university to develop knowledge, skills, and yourself.
Very satisfied with my experience at UEA. I have completed both my BSc and MSc here and cannot complain at all about the level of education and support I have received. Would highly recommend.
Support during covid has been incredibly lacking. But Uea has a stunning campus and great facilities so I can almost forgive it
It’s alright. Sportspark is not cheap. Wifi sometimes is not stable. But they got rabbits!
Home of the wonderful. Well spent
It’s a great university with lots of resources available to students, from the careers service to the student support service. Excellent quality of teaching and education guaranteed
UEA is a great university. There are very frequent and reliable buses. There are a range of clubs and societies. The lecturers and advisors are very supportive.
I can't really comment on clubs and societies because I haven't been able to take part properly but from what I've heard from previous years, it sounds great. Get involved as much as you can! Loads of different study spaces around campus, library is great too. Student Union and other student reps have done well this year with getting a rent rebate, making extensions free of requiring evidence (from Jan 2021 to March 2021) and letting final years get a better overall grade if there grades were better last year. Great work. I can't comment on careers service as I have had no involvement yet. The only time I've had issues with wifi is in accommodation a couple times, nothing major
UEA has so much to offer from sports clubs, societies and support to all students. The campus is beautiful and is perfect for walks around the lake. UEA aims to make all students feel at home and make the most of all the opportunities given to us.
pricey on campus food/ cafe outlets is my only complaint!! very frequent and reliable buses, personally i have had good experiences in my accomodation (paston, friendly flatmates and tidy space) and good experience in the doctors surgery
Chilled out and peaceful place
The campus and facilities are all you could need. Dont really know anything about the students union or careers service. The wifi is great wherever you are around campus!
For those gamers, WiFi on campus is lovely. Super fast up to 80 mbps down and like 20 up. Library is really peaceful can get a lot of work done. Especially when you only got the night to do it (library is 24/7). There is a club on campus (lcr) sooo lit. Teaching is good, support is amazing. I study economics and it’s made me smarter as an individual. The people in this uni is what I love most. We have a face book page whenever something goes missing and boyyyy I’ve lost some stuff and got back same day!
OK uni, campus green space is lovely, otherwise not much going for it.
The uni campus is so beautiful and a lovely environment. Everything is accessible and it is clear where everything is. There are so many clubs and societies accepting everyone. My club has definitely made my uni experience so far! SU nights out are the best and it is always busy the facilities are fab there’s everything you need. Wifi was always working perfectly
The UEA campus is amazing! Because it is a campus university, everything you need is right within walking distance on the campus itself, and the student Union is always busy because it’s the hub of the uni. The nature and views around campus are beautiful and if you enjoy walks then the lake, Earlham park and surrounding areas are perfect for you! It also has the perfect mix of modern and more historic buildings, and the staff truly love and care about their university.
a good place to study. but sometimes hard to find out information
Professionally, responsible to the students, and responding to this outbreak quickly, and I appreciate that
Been an amazing experience so far and I can’t wait to carry it on
really good location, there are kind staffs and they are really helpful.
Have really enjoyed Norwich so far. A fine city.
Internet is horrendous, campus a bit dated.
Great university with a really good social and nightlife
Happy I’m staying in the center
Good experience, socials are really good.
weird learning experience and module organising
the wifi here is worse than my data
One of the most underrated Unis for law. My masters in law experience was fabulous here. Faculty is as good if not better than most unis and the LLM structure is also quite commendable. Great for competition law, media law and IP research.
Rubbish service all over campus especially towards accommodation. There’s so many societies and clubs there’s one for everyone
The UEA campus is INCREDIBLE! So much choice for lecture buildings, then you have the street and the square which is like the uni’s own town centre!
I have met some of the kindest people I ever have at UEA, as well as exceeding my own expectations of myself and being able to make my degree take the path I want it to without being forced into one. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to feel accepted and have the time of their lives to come to Norwich and try UEA for yourselves! It’s changed my life!
AWFUL EXPERIENCE, AVOID IF POSSIBLE!!!!!!
Campus is amazing, has everything we need. The SU can be a little ridiculous with some of their rules sometimes and make the uni look bad.
So many societies and sports clubs, perfect if you want to try something new, careers centre is really helpful! Great uni if you want to get stuck into extra curricular, CV building activities/opportunities. Teaching buildings and lecture theaters are decent, and science labs are really good quality
a good university. Apart from being in the middle of no where, is very good.
Internet regularly is slow or drops out. Places to eat all very expensive and campus shop is extremely expensive for the quality. No other shops on campus for food or within a 30 minute walk so a little disappointing. Very attractive campus however, particularly in good weather.
I love UEA, freshers has been my favourite time ever
great campus, only issue with societies is that sports and arts clash so you can't do both :(
Love the campus, great facilities, eduroam does tend to be a bit slow on occasion!
More of a community feel than any other uni I visited. Everything you need is on campus. You feel safe and comfortable walking anywhere. Massive range of clubs and societies to join. Loads of information provided by email about special talks, internships, career-related information, volunteering opportunities and other events on campus.
I haven't had a bad experience yet at UEA; the staff have all been friendly and helpful, the campus has all you technically need on site, but also has great public transport links with Norwich city, which is a walkable distance from campus. I've had a whale of a time so far and I'd recommend it to anyone.
SU doesn't like freedom of speech but other than that it's not too shabby.
Sports and societies just receive more funding to expand into larger groups
Oh UEA is wonderful and the LCR is good too
Not a fan of the location of the campus, which serves to make some individuals more used to a bustling city environment (like myself) feel fairly isolated. From what I've seen of the clubs and societies, there are a lot of them, there will be at least a few that you feel compelled to discover more about. Only 2 laundrettes on the main campus means having to wake up at a ludicrous hour in order to not have to wait in a queue, and the prices in the campus shop are truly shocking. It is certainly worth considering the 30 minute walk to the nearest Aldi where you can buy three times as much for the same amount! The wifi drops out constantly, although this may just be in my accommodation, and I am still not used to the concrete buildings and walkways, and don't think I ever will be as they are honestly hideous, listed 1960s architecture though they may be, I am not a fan. However, I am greatly enjoying my course and the level of teaching is excellent.
All food is below average and completely over priced. Little variety. Broad range of societies however.
Lovely campus and people. Great opportunities for societies, trips etc. Internet is patchy. Haven't tried careers service properly yet, but the information that they give out is good.
Mixture of beautiful landscape and ugly buildings
Really decent university, no quarrel with any of the campus facilities, can get free fast wifi most places on campus. Only thing i would say, student shop and coffee shops are too expensive (even with NUS card).
it's a great campus with a real community feel. There's no place like UEA
I really love UEA, you never really need to leave campus, theres so much to do here.
It's a fantastic place to study.
Wanted to come here since I was a little girl, have not been disappointed!
Couldn't have asked for a better uni, like living in a hotel with my ensuite room! :)
Overall a good uni. Only being a fresher I haven't been here very long, but I feel the teaching and course are both excellent. My only bug is, being off campus, I have found it quite difficult to make friends and get into a social scene. But the facilities are very good and the city of Norwich has a lot to offer.
A beautiful university with lots of rabbits. Many societies and clubs to choose from, you will definitely find plenty you will want to join.
UEA is a life changing university. You come in quite scared about who you're going to meet and what experiences you're going to have and when it's time to go home to your parents, you can barely convey the amount of love and support that we all have for each other!
Fantastic place to be... So supportive and a wide range of opportunities :)
UEA is a very nice and comfy place, beautiful campus, lots of activities, friendly staff.
I only joined UEA this year and have already fallen in love wiht it
Awesome, modern, well equipped sports park; great music venue on campus; the city of Norwich is lovely; accommodation is very well situated and of good standard.
So far I can't complain about anything, this uni doesn't get enough recognition
Lcr has gone downhill (smoking / outside area has turn into a rabbit hutch), no more burger van, extremely high parking prices, food prices high and poor quality. Union doesn't stick up for important things. And sombreros were band.
First year so far is amazing and everything is pretty much on point!
So much going on all the time! events in the square and hive have been varied and fun. Last year Derby day was the best its ever been with music and a party in the square.
Great SU, loads of club nights. Everyone is so friendly!
I'm a fresher this year and so far everything has been really great; felt welcomed from day one and there has never been a lack of support for the transition. Lecturers are engaging and knowledgeable and the campus has a world of opportunities going for it :)
