My stay at Heathfield was lovely - David and Sarah consistently went above and beyond to create a welcoming atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. A lovely place run by incredibly kind and professional hosts. Ultimately the commute to UEA was a little challenging for me, but I was truly blown away by Heathfield, it's a special place and would have loved to stay longer.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

I have enjoyed my stay here. The place is nice, the owners some of the warmest people you can meet and my flatmates were cool. Everything I needed was quickly taken care of. Really the only slight minus is the distance to UEA campus. It is about an hour walk or 30 minutes by bus. So sometimes you may feel a little far away from where the action is taking place, But if you're looking for a nice, calm and quiet place very near the city centre, than this is the place for you.
Best student accomodation experience I had! Landlords are very welcoming and helpful. Location is good, I liked taking the riverside walk to NUA every week, and the property is well maintained and issues are resolved quickly.
As an international student, I really enjoyed living at Heathfield and got to interact with a large community of students from all over the world. David and Sarah are very lovely people and they have created an amazing and safe place for students from all backgrounds. I really enjoyed my time there!
Extremely welcoming place to live, focused on students and community, management is very hands off unless you need them to get involved with fixing something. Couldn't recommend any other accommodation over this one
Lived here for two years and felt so at home, the landlords are the loveliest most understanding people, they have somehow managed to master the art of being there when needed whilst also giving you your space. Living here has been an experience I will always treasure, its beautifully located and is a great community.
Heathfield is a great student shared accommodation which I would highly reccomend. During my first year of university I was really scared when I wasn't accepted into university own accommodation but I ended up really enjoying being in Heathfield instead. If you gives you that nice sense of independence whilst also knowing there is a support system if needs be. Landlords are easy to speak to and also allow for great social experiences with tea and cake being held usually every Sunday. I've met a great number of people with in my flat which I would call friends for life. The surrounding area is really nice and I enjoy my walk to university by the rive every morning and evening and do feel safe.
As an MA student this is one of the most welcoming student communities I have ever had the pleasure to be part of. I could not wish for better landlords who are always on hand to ask about any problem big or small. It sounds like a cliche but Heathfield really is like a family. I recommend this place 100 per cent!!
The best student accommodation I have aver lived in. The Landlords are super nice and supportive. People living in are very friendly. The place is very well furnished, even a library and pianos.
The best place I've stayed at, the space itself is really nice, the landlords are nicest couple you'll ever meet and the social aspect of it great. The landlords are always around to help out, there's weekly cleaners that come and do an amazing job, the kitchens are large with a very nice seating/eating area. There are two library spaces, a common/movie room as well as a spacious garden to have a smoke or just chill in.
There's a very good reason why I stayed here for 3 years instead of 1 - supportive landlords, fantastic location, can be quiet when I really need it, and making tonnes of memories. If you're looking for an alternative to your university’s halls of residence, Heathfield is the perfect location - all for a really good price! And I'm so sad that I'll have to leave when I finish my course.
Lovely management, great place to live overall, especially if you’re a uni student.
Heathfield is a very lovely and wholesome accomodation. There's a really lovely community and David and Sarah look after everyone and everything so well.
The heathfield community is a place where you can feel at home even if far away from it. The owners are kind and they understand every problem you might have and try to fix it. The location is a good compromise between living close to the city centre and nature. Cleaners clean the communal area every week and they are really nice. Glad I choose to stay here for 3 years now.
Heathfield Norwich is the best shared accommodation I've ever been to. The place is really homely and the landlords are the nicest people you could ask for. I really would recommend anyone to come stay here as it's an opportunity you should not miss. It's a place you can choose to be as social as you like, so if your wanting to make friends or just want space to relax and do your own thing then Heathfield Norwich has the best of both worlds. If you have any issues while your here then the landlords are very quick to fix anything and put you at ease. And don't forget about the pool we get in the garden during the summer, ping pong tables, pianos and projector to use in the Heathfield centre. It has something for everyone.
The owners of Heathfield live on site and are always up for a chat. The housing is lovely and right next to Mousehold Heath. There is a diverse range of students from different universities
Landlords are super friendly and attentive, during non-covid times every Sunday they bake cake and everyone is welcome to join in the centre attached. 15 minute walk to train station and 20 minute walk into the city. Car park for guests.
