I was a Master's student at UEA last year and I am staying here I would like to review that this was the dorm that I liked the most in my student life. This dorm feels like home where I feel comfortable. No matter what distant city I travel to, every time I come back to this dorm I feel like I'm coming home. Whether it is the cleanliness of the dormitory, the safety of the dormitory where guards are always looking after, the quietness that is truly a haven, the dormitory's parcels receiving system, the lovely reception, the convenience of the dormitory (Near the whole mall and supermarkets). Everything is very perfect. Now I have moved to another city to study, It makes me miss Crown Place a lot. Where I live now is more expensive but the quality can't compete with Crown Place. I truly miss you and this review is written from my heart. I really love this dorm.

Hello, we only offer 46 weeks for student that are part of an agreement with Norwich univeristy of the Arts. Currently for 24/25 bookings we have 51 weeks only. When we open for 25/26 we should have a limited number of 44 week contracts, and semester 1 or semester 2 contracts.

Wifi has no existence from 8 am to 11pm (when everyone needs it) management is horrible especially (Lisa and Adom) horrible people should not he working with people in education as they have not support or understanding all you get is empty promise) I have evidence witch ive been collecting since I've moved in to the higher ups like phone calls and email. Before I moved in I made it clear I work as a bartender and I'm a late oul so they could find the right people for me I ended up with 5 people that are messy and don't speak English. I had email warnings about useing my microwave and kettle for making food after midnight witch I told them I have no chose as I work till 2am. The lack of respect is unbelievable I know they don't like me but huffing when I come to get my mail is unbelievable I would literally gave to avoid then to get my amazon or any other mail. If your looking for a place to feel like at home this is not it. Especially for the price you pay.

Power in my room completely shut off twice and when I reported it, the staff (security not receptionist’s) were reluctant to come up and tried blaming me for the power shutting off, I had no devices plugged in and all sockets turned off. Security could be quite hostile at times especially if you were coming in past 9pm. However staff that worked reception were beyond lovely, always smiling and happy to engage in conversation. Rent seemed somewhat reasonable at £180 for a large however it still feels a bit high for a student accommodation along with technical issues that occurred on multiple occasions (power outages in rooms and entire flat causing food in fridges to go bad (happened three separate times) and wifi cutting out multiple times across the year. Rent could/ should be slightly lower.

I very much like living here, it is a great location, in the city centre, next to the bus station, close to large shopping centres as well as the train station. I feel safe enough around here to walk alone at night if I absolutely have to, as a student I feel as though this is important. I enjoy living here also, being in a cluster flat of 5 people, I have made very good friends.

There's a few minor issues with scuffs and scrapes in the room, along with some leftover remnants of past tenants, but generally nice. Kitchen area is very well updated. Social area is too.

Honestly the best part about living at crown place is the amazing staff who have always helped me very quickly with any issues, and have been wonderful to talk to when I've had my low moments. Sadly the accomodation is not too social from personal experience so it can be hard to make lasting friendships, but other than that it's very good value for money if you like to frequently use all the included benefits such as the gym, cinema room, etc.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here at Crown Place Norwich. I have lived in the same flat for the last 5 years and can only recommend the accommodation. Lisa and Adam are fantastic accommodation managers, and I’m forever grateful for both of them during my stay here at Crown Place. Security is fantastic at ensuring safety is maintained outside office hours. Abdul is an absolute saint and manages to check in on students when he notices something isn’t right. I have appreciated his support on weekends so much! The only downside to Crown Place, is Circuit Laundry. I strongly believe a cap should be enforced on laundry prices, especially now with the rise in the cost of living.

The management at crown is so appalling, the man in the office does not bother answering your enquires and suggests you to email the place which is just him replying and saying he can't do anything after a few days. Had a summer moving in date and he single handedly slowed the process by fours weeks from end of June to July. I was not compensated for the weeks where I was entitled to have a room from the summer move in promotion or the fact I had to go up to Norwich several times to nudge the office to do something. The place is nice to stay apart from having no ventilation in the corridors that causes it to smell horrible. The receptionist, maintenance and security are very nice and friendly and it's a big shame that the management drags this place down due to their neglect. If you have any urgent needs your best option would be finding the head office number and get them to make the people in Norwich do whatever you require them to as he's so incompetent at his job.

Well placed in Norwich. Secure building, nice and spacious for student accommodation.
Located just in the city centre (perfect location), the accommodation is clean and provides you with great hospitality. The front disk is very helpful and will guide you throughout your stay. The staffs were very helpful. The accommodation provides you with almost every facility for enjoying the moment with your friends. Overall experience was awesome. I'll recommend the accommodation to every student or worker :). You won't regret it, just be there:)
Crown place was a delightful place to live for your first year at uni.
Fantastic location and lovely flats but far too overpriced, staff members were fantastic and always ready to help however security could be rude and unwelcoming, maintenance was extremely slow and the flat was dirty on first entry which we had to clean by ourselves. Certain social spaces had equipment that was damaged (music room). WIFI and power to the rooms/ flats sometimes knock out but not enough to cause an issue. Overall a nice place to live that I enjoyed my stay in and would have 100% stayed in again if it wasn’t so expensive

Absolutely amazing accomodation! My safely is taken very seriously here and I feel valued with any problems or concerns I have. Staff are always exceptional and polite. Honestly my year here has been wonderful, and I'm so grateful I was able to live here. Everything I could ever ask for was here, numerous study and social areas, gym and so much more. I genuinely loved living here and always recommend to friends looking for student accomodation.
Overall a decent place for any student to live especially first and second year, but due to it being a big tower block it’s probably not the greatest for final years who need little distraction, as the noise travels through the courtyard when the windows are open

I love living in crown place, it’s comfortable I’m always relaxed in my living space and it’s super close to town, uni and food stores. Admin is always super fast to act on emails and issues! Security guards are rude and unwelcoming at night but amazing staff during daytime!
staff are all lovely and the common rooms are a good space to interact with other students, the study space is also good if you need a space to concentrate on your work
After spending 3 years in this accommodation the facility’s are great communal spaces are great to study in and socialise. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The two guards ( both are bald and skinny, one with tattoo all over and the other one with some beard and mustache ) at the reception when I move in one week ago ( 14th Sep 2022) was so unhelpful and rigid in doing their job that not only did they not let me check in, but chase me out of the building and let me freeze outside for about one hour in the midnight, they say they have no authority over the situation and said it was told by the manager that I cannot stay in the reception till next morning. Then I requested to talk to the manager directly but was also refused by them and they refused to let me know the contact of the manager. I understand the policy that customer cannot check in until they have cleared they payment, but I couldn’t understand why they did not let me at least stay at the reception and let me contact the manager to see if she could do anything to help me. The two guards were even behaving rude to me that they swear at me while I was reasoning with them.
The worst experience, the first day in England, sleep in a chair at lobby. I have two days in advance the crown place staff email and phone contact, confirmed in 11th September can check in at night. But when I arrived at this ****** place, the staff Don't let me check-in just because my name could not be found on the list. I don't understand how the management of the apartment works, and why such problems happened even after I contact them in advance by email and phone call. The crown place is the worst I've ever seen apartment, please book here, if you want to be like me, sleeping on a chair in the Crown Place lobby after a 16-hour flight, waiting for the manager come in the morning.

Crown place is an overall nice place to live there are some small problems here and there but nothing major, the staff generally is helpful in resolving problems and answering your questions. One of the nicest things for an international student is the option of paying rent up front instead of having to pay for or find a guarantor.

Overall, I've really enjoyed my time at Crown Place. It's comfortable, with good study spaces and great facilities, including the gym and cinema room. Staff and management are always super friendly and I like the 24/7 security. Additionally, Crown Place is in a great location, right by the high street and close to Norwich University of the Arts. However, the price of the washing is quite expensive at around £5/6 per wash and dry. Also maintenance issues occasionally take a little while to rectify, such as replacing a broken shower head and light bulb changes.

It is a really nice, modern place to live as a student. Its one of the more expensive accommodations but it’s got a lot of facilities that many others don’t. However maintenance management is something that needs improvement as a lot of jobs need doing that have been on hold for a long time

I have been living in Crown Place this current year and have rebooked my room for the next one. It has very quickly become my home! I have settled amazingly in my room and feel safe and comfortable at all times. Thanks to its central location in Norwich, its modern decor and the incredibly nice people and staff that live and work in it, Crown Place boasts a lively, energetic and positive atmosphere. Ten out of Ten would recommend!

Great location in walking distance to everything, great social spaces that are always kept really clean and staff are friendly :) only downside is that it’s very expensive and living in a twodio (2 bedrooms + kitchen) you don’t get much for the price.

I live here Currently and have rebooked my room for next year, lovely staff and sircurity team. The only thing I find fault in is the price of the laundry and the fact that the terrace is somtimes locked with no explanation. But overall a nice place to live. Lovely spaces to socialise and do university work and super close to everything in the city.

Overall a lovely place to live. However if I had to say what crown could improve on, the laundry could definitely be free for the price we’re already paying, especially because they don’t wash that great either. Also have very firsthand flatmates that never clean, but suppose that isn’t crowns problem.

Honestly the best student accommodation in Norwich during the year 2019/20. The facilities are great and the room has everything you need. The shared kitchen is lovely however the couch was not soft and the TV was kinda useless. There’s a gym, music room, cinema room, study areas, games areas it’s the best place for students honestly. It’s right on the Main Street of Norwich which was so convenient and the walk to UEA took just as long as the bus ride. The reception staff were the best, genuinely nice people and my belongings always felt safe in my room. If you’re thinking of booking a room here you defo should!

Crown Place is a very nice place to live, the staff are lovely, there are lots of very nice social spaces (including fun activities in non-covid times such as movie night in the cinema room or yoga in the studio!), it is in an excellent location in the city centre within walking distance to NUA and a short bus ride to UEA. I loved living here over two years and would definitely recommend it to any student in Norwich!

There were definitely negatives such as the communal areas being closed because of Covid. There have been building works my whole time at crown which they said would be done in 2019 October. Regardless I’ve loved living here my flat is very modern and pretty. I like having my own bathroom too.

CRM Norwich offered a nearly perfect student accommodation if only it wasn't for the awkward management of access to shared spaces throughout the pandemic. Having said this, relationship building with on-site staff was most delightful from 2019 to 2021. I encourage everyone looking forward to study at NUA or UEA and live within the city to book a good room ASAP if they can afford it.

We had a few issues with our flat when we first moved in due to things being rushed to finish before we moved in but aside from that everything was really nice and they were generally pretty quick at fixing anything that wasn't working properly :)

I stayed in crown place in 2019/2020, unfortunately the building wasn’t fully finished when I moved in however this didn’t affect my experience as I was in the tower that was mainly done. I didn’t use the basement facilities all that much but there was lots of space to meet people and have a fun time! Internet at the time was 200mbps on an Ethernet cable and I believe has since been upgraded to 300? Some drops were expected due to the number of people living there, however this was soon remedied. Overall a nice place to live if you don’t mind paying the large sum of money. I paid £153 a week when I first moved in but I have heard it is more expensive now

It was a nice place to live in but never felt homely & felt more like staying in a hotel for the year. The kitchen and living room was the best part because it meant you got to be more social than in accommodations like All Saints Green. My flatmate’s ceiling panel fell through & broke her laundry horse. I think it was put together quickly & there were lots of small mistakes in my flat, like floor bubbles & blinds that didn’t work. It’s good but a weird experience.

It’s just a nice place to live, whenever I walk through reception it’s always a smile and a hello, whenever there’s an issue (which have always been small things) it gets resolved there and then. Loads of facilities. I’m the city centre so shopping is a doddle. Through the Corona Virus we’ve been kept up to date with everything that’s going on and what we can and can’t do. All in all not to shabby!

I have been living at Crown Place for about two years now (barring a few weeks at home during the various lockdowns), and it is probably the best student accommodation I could have found. The rooms are very generous for space, not leaving you feeling cramped like other places might. Beyond that, the social experience you get, both with those in your flat or those in others is brilliant. lived in a Travelodge for a month... overpriced and maintenance staff are none existent

We were sorry to hear that you feel the maininance staff are non existent, we can assure you that Colin is here Monday to Friday excluding bank holidys and his holiday. We did unfortunately have to allocate students to the travelodge located next door in our first year. However, all students were notifed that this was the case on booking and offered meal and laundry allowance.
Definitely not good value for money considering it is a lot of money. For example, free weights were removed from the gym with no explanation as to why. It is a nice accommodation but not worth its high price. Explore other options and don't be fooled by the pictures.

Dismissive management over covid, prices put up and locked to longer contracts next year, still uses circuit laundry (£5 for 1 wash and dry) which slowly increases too. First year was nice, second showed they didnt care all that much for the students. On site, the management were nice to speak to, the flats themselves were great if overpriced.

I am staying at crown throughout my university studies and I have had positive experiences with the staff and the building. It is worth the money for all of the spaces that are available, plus the 24/7 security is great and makes all the students feel safe.

Probably the best student accommodation in Norwich. Definitely good value for money, you get the terrace, social spaces, study area, cinema room and etc. The rooms are also really nice and flats are fun to live in. The internet is amazing. Laundry is a tad expensive but where isn't it.

The best student housing in Norwich! This is a lovely modern and friendly housing with amazing staff and spacious rooms! Perfect central location close to NUA and next to buses for UEA it’s the perfect student flats!

As a third year student looking to focus on my studies, Crown Place has been an amazing place to stay. The rooms are modern and the whole building is always kept clean. I love the atmosphere of the building and all the facilities available including the gym and quiet working spaces. The staff are friendly and easy to communicate with, and have been extremely supportive when dealing with small issues. Both the security and the staff are always helpful and positive, making you feel welcome and safe.

Lovely accommodation, nice staff and good facilities. Unfortunately I was not not able to enjoy the many facilities this year due to coronavirus so I can’t comment on those really, however the rooms are nicely designed and very comfortable to live in. Staff are always happy to help! Can be a bit restricting in terms of having guests, so may not be ideal for those with friends mostly outside of the accommodation. Otherwise great

The accommodation is great but DO NOT rent here if you cannot afford it! There is no leeway, the staff are no help, you can't cancel your lease for any reason EVEN if you decide you don't want to live there anymore or CANT for any reason and there's always builders and construction outside! If you can't afford to spend 10 grand or more a year, its not worth it!

My experience living at Crown Place was very pleasant, this was due to many factors. The 1st being that I was placed into a very good flat in which I have gotten along with all of my flatmates. Other reasons include the fact that we have 2 people on the front desk at all times. It is never empty. This means that if I am struggling with work or just living on my own in the day or night, I can always go down for a natter with the security guards or with the staff on the front desk. Another reason why my experience has been so good is due to the atmosphere this building gives off. It is a new build and counted as private accommodation rather than connected to the universities directly means that I have a more calm sense about it. I also feel like it attracts a more mature student feel to it. Overall I am very pleased with where I have lived this year. Infact, me and my entire cluster flat of 4 have rebooked for next year, so I am looking forward for more great experiences to come!

I haven't been able to be very social due to the pandemic but otherwise I'm very satisfied with the accommodation overall. I've always been listened to and made to feel cared for by the team here. I found myself in an unfortunate situation with a flatmate and the team went above and beyond to accommodate me on short notice. As an international student, I am happy to be able to feel safe in the place I live in during such difficult times.

The staff are amazing, so welcoming and make you feel at home. My only criticism would be there are no weights in the gym and we haven’t been able to use the social spaces during the pandemic yet we are still paying for them.

Could not have found a better place to stay while at university! The rooms are clean and spacious, with great facilities for everyday use. The accommodation team are incredibly friendly and helpful, as well as supportive through all of the lockdowns. The building is very central with a multitude of shops within walking distance, while also being close to NUA, and a short bus ride from the UEA campus. Absolutely would recommend this accommodation to anyone!

Staff are very friendly and polite. Shower pressure changes a lot and sometimes goes off for a little while. Not enough plugs in the kitchen.

The staff that run crown are the loveliest people and are always great to talk to! They're always doing the best they can to make the residents safe and comfortable and take allot of pride in doing so! My first university year wouldn't have been the same without them. Occasionally the wifi can be patchy, especially when at peak resident capacity, but overall is very strong. The social spaces are crown's defining features: the TVs in every cluster flat are fab and the cinema and music rooms are super fun to be in. In my first year at crown (2019-2020) I had a great time meeting new people, unfortunately the social experience is very dependent on who the residents are and nothing to do with crown place themselves.

I stayed at Crown Place Norwich roughly 1 and a half years. The staff are all really friendly and made my stay there feel special, having friends downstairs at the front desk whenever I wanted to have a chat about anything. The accommodation itself was clean and well maintained. And comparing it to others nearby it was by far the nicest. It deserves the crown in its name. The wi-fi was always fast, it had a blip every so often when I used my Nintendo switch, but that was all. The social spaces were big and there were plenty of nice things to do such as go to the gaming room, cinema room and karaoke room. Me and my friends liked to make use of these, renting them out to play DnD or jackbox games. When I first moved in I had issues with my flatmates, but the staff were able to move me to a much friendly flat where I got along with all of them. Overall my stay there was amazing and is defiantly a great experience I will remember when I look back to university in the future.

Crown Place Norwich is an amazing place and a must for any student. The facilities there are great and can appeal to everyone from the games room to the cinema room there is always something to do. The building itself has an amazing modern design with state of the art appliances. Social areas are great whether you wanna play a game of pool with mates or sit in the study area to get your work done. The onsite team are really friendly and are always willing to help and have a chat. Living here has made my uni experience so much better and couldn’t imagine not living here and will always recommend this place to anyone looking for someone to stay throughout their uni experience.

I have been living at Crown Place since it opening in 2019. From the day I viewed it until now I have been very impressed. I love my studio so much I’ll be staying for another 3 years!! Love the management, especially Lisa, Adam and Colin. They’ve supported me so much during both national lockdowns, which I am extremely grateful for. I would highly recommend living here, regardless of year of study. I am a PhD student myself and I don’t feel out of place and can’t complain about noisy neighbours thankfully! I look forward to my future experiences here.
