Sub par university, avoid at all cost
The university is amazing and there is so much help for those struggling with mental health
I love it and it is very good environment
Definate state of the art facilities for design courses - vijay Patel being a well-equipped space for coursework & studying Internet / WiFi is of a decent reliable standard Careers service offer significant benefits for ant courses of DMU students, especially with finding work, part tiem jobs & in-industry years
Although I am leaving campus is nice, my lectures were lovely, however they don’t have a choir which is what I came here to do and my course wasn’t what I wanted
Great university. It is very diverse and accepting. There are gender neutral toilets and if you prefer to go by another name but haven't changed it legally for whatever reason, they can put a note on the system so they use your preferred name in most situations. Have been very helpful when talking about my disabilities especially in relation to my education.
Amazing teaching and facilities
A good university, very helpful staff
really enjoy my time at this uni! staff are so friendly and helpful. there’s always someone to talk to
Great university with really accommodating staff always willing to help if possible
My experience so far has been good
It is an amazing University the place and the atmosphere are brilliant and perfect for students

Good uni, had fun, would recommend to some people
Really good university, lectures are interesting and well presented. Lectures are always there to help you with any questions you may have
It's a very good university, it has a very nice environment and a supportive community.
easy to socialize, everyone was chill
Good so far, need more resources for some subject
Good environment Library busy but meet a lot of people
Good university, friendly staff and easy to navigate
The DMU campus itself has a good layout and there’s plenty of space to get on with work. There’s also east access to other parts of Leicester. The structure of courses is in 4 blocks (x7 weeks of teaching for each block) which is intense but different. Staff are interesting and approachable.
The uni itself is brill and has really good facilities and lots of clubs to be able to join, there’s loads of study places and hub areas in all buildings
I’ve really enjoyed my first year here, great location and many opportunities
I am a final year students are not sure happy and bless soon to graduates computer science.
Very good university with great teachers, facilities, and really accommodating people
Pretty nice community and location.
Good university, quite supportive. Good campus and student union. Library facilities are excellent with a good amount of space for studying
I didn’t really engage much with the uni but from what I have seen it’s a great uni. They’re really good at supporting entrepreneurs with regular pop up fairs you can sell your products in and support for small business owners.
Gorgeous campus, way to navigate, supportive lecturers
It’s actually a pretty good school with most of the facilities to benefit from. Social aspect is a bit daunting as most people there already have groups and people that they talk to. I am very lucky to have found my group of friends but definitely requires a lot of effort to find genuine friends, that’s all I’m gonna say. Modules timeline is a bit weird as they cramp the final assignments all together, like why.. other than that it’s a great school, beautiful library and campus views.
Excellent facilities, friendly and approachable teachers, and a lots of activities.
it is a good place to study and develop social skills
DMU is an amazing university to attend because most of the buildings are all next to one another and it’s easy finding where your building is due to the directions that’s located throughout campus. The food village is good for early breakfast and cheap and quick meals throughout the day. The teachers are very helpful with your coursework too.
It has been a great experience studying at DMU. The administration and faculty are very helpful and the campus is beautiful
It’s going good so far as a whole
I have made a good few friends here
Great place to study, up to date in the sports centre and fantastic lecturers
Great university with excellent and extensive facilities and support
Good University nice atmosphere
Good University with exceptional career services. It has many different societies and clubs and has many connections to the industry. Recommend if you want to feel included and live in a diverse and vibrant city.
It is a very good university with very good support
Good area for a campus, friendly, clean and has all the facilities within a few minute walk.
Variety of societies, friendly staff, good connection, nice people.
Liberty Park has been great so far! The staff have always been so lovely and welcoming and helpful! Especially Hannah!
Great university to be a part of
good university love it very good
It has everything that a uni should have but could always be better.
Very responsible teacher, very good location
I was a Second year Fashion Design student, Was constantly lied to about retaking my second year. Teachers weren’t helpful at all, felt like they were vicariously living through us. Their feedback on our work was never positive and always felt like an attack, it was a very negative and toxic environment. When i failed my resubmission I was basically thrown to the curb because I wasn’t paying them anymore. Also had to go on anxiety supplements 3 months into first year cause of my anxiety and crippling panic attacks. Also never got the vibe from my teachers that they wanted to teach as they always looked angry and gave angry responses. Also my feedback on my resubmission was more of an attack on me and my work the constructive feedback, I have never once heard something positive come out of their mouths. I had friends leave during their second year because they were sick of the teachers and the fact that after we told them our concerns they blatantly ignored it.
I have recieved a lot emails about event and careers advice sections, which I find very usefull.
It’s a great university that offers all the support needed
Happy with my uni choice! Staff are supportive and the arts building facilities are great! Easy to get to and good that it is a campus Uni as everything is easily accessible!
Great experience so far. Faculty is outstanding
7.5/10, would recommend this university
its good still yet to explore a lot in the university but so far no complains.
A great university to study at. all the lessons are very engaging.
A brilliant university who are supportive and give importance to student voice.
everything is good,I like the school buildings with a sense of history
Canteens need more food variety
Lovely campus inside and out, lots to do and feels a safe environment
I think is more than being affordable and i like how there are different races here
De Montfort is great for meeting and connecting with people and the campus is extremely special- unlike no other university i have seen. The WiFi connection is not extremely reliable in my building (Vijay Patel) and the Careers Service/Student Union offer events and reach out, however not much exciting goes down.
De Montfort University has possessed all the necessary resources for students success, and provide the best possible opportunity for students to develop and grow their skills through their learning experiences.
Amazing Excellent Choice great place to study
De Montfort as a university is not what it used to be in its later years but it is still decent. I have heard a plethora of good things about the university before, which is why I decided to join but also because it is the only university specialised in Arts and Media. Yet upon joining, it has been quite boring as I do not feel I have been pushed or challenged enough to learn, either because the classes are to slow for my pace or because I have already got almost 1st marks in all my modules with the bare minimum of effort. Regarding the schedule of classes they are absolutely chaotic, and I really do not see the point of having 1hr long breaks in between classes, as I personally have nothing to spend that time on and as a person I need to deal with everything I have scheduled and be done with it to move on with my day and be productive in other areas. I want to also mention James Andean as he has been the best and most fun teacher to work with so far. His teaching style is amazing.
From the layout of the building to its colourway and it’s design, Dmu is a very nice university. At first when you are new to the area it is all abit confusing but when you are used to it it’s much more easier
Very interesting and open university
Best 3 years of my life. Social experiences have always been quality and the same can be said about the education I have received too.
As a whole, I would say that De Montfort University is a great University. They provide great resources as well lecture materials. Furthermore, when asked for help with be provided in as many ways as possible.
I love studying at DMU. There are so many amazing facilities that you can make use of during self-directed study. Lecturers are really supportive and understanding in general as long as you communicate with them properly. Our library has plenty of resources that I find especially helpful as an FCS student. I feel safe when I’m on campus and I love the diversity here. The location is also great, being just a 5-10 minute walk to the city centre where there’s a variety of different shops, restaurants, and bars to visit in your free time.
Dmu has been so nice and welcoming, tbh I got a scholarship to do my foundation here and it’s the best choice I’ve ever done. Love the staff, tutors and the students!
Great uni, easy to get around and lovely campus

Love it here, everything has been sorted whenever an issue occured and good support throughout
Facilities are great, lecturers are knowledgeable and approachable. Good location in the city, not much goes on through the union though.
Very friendly and easy to navigate and they host loads of amazing events which cover everything you would want it to
