Living in a really good student accommodation has been such a great experience! The location is super close to campus, which makes getting to classes so easy. My room is cozy but has plenty of space for all my stuff, plus a good desk for studying. The Wi-Fi is really reliable, which is a lifesaver for last-minute assignments and late-night Netflix. What makes it even better is the common areas; the kitchen is fully equipped, and there’s a lounge where everyone hangs out, so it’s easy to make friends. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they’re quick to fix any issues, which has made the place feel really safe and well taken care of.

I am a rather reserved individual. I don’t particularly enjoy socialising, but being at code has brought me out of my shell. There is always an event going on and it gives everyone the opportunity to get to know people outside of university.

I have loved my time at CODE so far, even though it is quite pricey, i could not ask for more in an accommodation. I feel safe at all times and really love how close it is to the town centre go shopping and access to uni. Room wise, they are so spacious and the walls are not super thin. The only thing i could critique is the price for washing, however, i know that this is a universal thing with all accommodations.

Honestly it’s a decent place but a lot is not provided on the website. For instance they add that theirs is a lot of shelf spacing but don’t specify that some blocks don’t have the extra shelf spacing. Maintenance takes extremely long and is inconveniencing.

The beginning of term is always super busy, and with the non-stop rain, the maintenance team were presented with additional emergency challenges! I've stayed in CODE for over a year now and there's no other place i could possibly call home. I love the accommodation, it's incredibly well kept; it's clean and the staff members are lovely !! i have found the social events to be welcoming, the gym is very complete, always available and clean, when i've had requests with maintenance i have always received help. I feel grateful to be able to stay in a place like this, especially as an international student. CODE has been kind, warm and supportive with me, thank you!

Everything is perfect and exactly how I wanted it to be. I would definitely recommend CODE to anyone who wants to have a peaceful, enjoyable and trouble free academic year! I was worried about the distance at first to UOL but It is honestly not an issue at all as the place it self has a lot to offer and walking for 15-20min is not a big deal. Also it is located in a very beautiful and peaceful area. The location helps a lot with studying in my opinion. Love the place and the staff here is very nice and helpful as well! Looking forward to spend my next 2 academic years here as well.🙂

Considering the neighbourhood and surroundings not being the greatest, Code really stood out and it was beautiful. The building is very modern and well maintained and visually you can see security is taken seriously. When entering Code, my family and I had spoken to the team and staff and they offered me help and support within minutes, considering it was late in the evening around 10pm. They talked me through how to book a room online and actually managed to show me one of the rooms in the block so I had a good idea of the room type I wanted. They communicated, showed support and gave advice on what to do and within the next two days I became a tenant at Code. I've been staying here for just over a month now and it's been a great experience so far. The staff are lovely, both on site and in the office and the facilities are fantastic! The maintenance team really take pride into their job as do the security ensuring Code is a safe place for everyone. Would recommend to anyone, 10/10.

Perfect accommodation if you enjoy your own space, great location and plenty of social events. I attend UoL and find the distance good because it keeps me fit and active walking to my lectures but it can be tiring for some people.

After living at code for over a year and now staying on for a second i can say it’s a really love establishment. In terms of staying close to friends and having an enjoyable uni experience outside of classes and studying, it feels very homely. I would recommend it to any students looking to study in Leicester.

I love living at code. The staffs are friendly, the environment is cozy and I feel welcomed anytime I go to the office. I like how they have fun activities like yoga and petting farm animals. They also have grab and gos which I personally love.
I have stayed here alltogether 2 years and it has been an amazing experience really. The place is always clean, lots of social events and great facilities very happy with everything.
It’s so affordable and There’s many shops near the accommodation. WiFi connection is abit annoying because I keep having to connect😂 but other than that, it’s great and I will always recommend CODE

Code is a nice place to stay if you want to live alone but it also has lots of social events that you can go to, most free but if they do cost they don’t don’t cost much. I love staying here because it’s close to my university and close to town and easy for me to go to work in fosse park

I stayed at CODE during the 2022-23 academic year and loved it. I had to leave the city for a year for a placement but I came back to CODE afterwards because I find it a very comfortable place to live in terms of location, furniture, space and available services.

I believe Code Student Accommodation is a great place to live whilst at university it is close to the city centre as well as the university, the accommodation has good facilities for studies and spaces, great gym and dance studio as well as a common room area with games and entertainment. The rooms are spacious and gorgeous!!

I have really enjoyed living at code and the huge amounts of social events they host. It has allowed me to make close friends and enjoy my time after school. The studios have lots of space and the team are always super helpful and polite.

I think code is an amazing place to live with amazing facilities and amazing staff and security. It is located in a great place only 10/15 mins from the city centre and addict dance academy . I was very happy with code after moving from another student accommodation where I didn't feel entirely safe or looked after , however at code I feel very at ease and safe

This is the second year that I am living here and I have nothing bad to say about it. My room has everything I need my own bathroom and kitchen. I have a lot of wardrobe space and desk space. The WiFi is very fast minimum 100mb/s. The extra facilities that are here and added in the price are amazing like the study rooms are very spacious and private. The lounge area is great with friends to play pool and table tennis. The laundry facility is great as I don’t need to leave code to clean my clothes. The parcel service is a life saver and Suzi, the parcel assistant, is amazing.

Code provides all amenities that a student would need, a clean and safe place to socialise and study. 24/7 security and regular cleaning allows me to confidently state that this is the best accommodation I have stayed at thus far.

I enjoy living at code because of the events. I like having my own studio but also having the chance to meet other people. The only thing letting it down right now is that the lifts are constantly broken so I have to climb up 5 flights of stairs every time I go to my room.

This is always out of our control, and even while waiting on repairs, we are at the mercy of the lift company! But it is something we work hard on to get repaired as quickly as possible. Overall a nice place to live while studying, there is occasional great event can't say I don't usually attend. The staff are all around great, social spaces are clean and tidy.

Since i arrived in UK i wanted to book a studio for me and my brother. We were new to leicester so been to every single place. Unfortunately the code was fully booked for my international zero year but my friends were already living here and whenever i used to visit them i was in love with the code. I decided to book right away as soon as my other contract ends so i did. And here i am living in the code. We have every single facility and the environment is so peaceful it doesn’t even make you depress. I got so many friends and Im the happiest. The staff is always friendly and as an introvert i didn’t know i was able to get so comfortable here!

I love living at CODE, this is my first time staying here and it has been a lovely experience. I love that the studio is so spacious, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the facilities are great such as the gym and study spaces. CODE always has social events going on which is a nice way to meet other people. CODE is also quite near to my university and the city centre which is great because it is within walking distance. I would recommend staying at CODE!

Code is a very nice place to stay as a student. I always feel safe with the 24/7 security and it’s so assuring knowing that if something goes wrong with your flat, the maintenance team fix it in no time
Code is perfect for me. I love the fact that I have my own studio and space as it gives me so much independence which really adds to my university experience. The staff are friendly and are always happy to help and the facilities are great, especially the gym. I would 100% recommend code and will be very sad to leave when my degree is complete.

This is my second year living at Code and I think it is a very good accommodation. The rooms are very nice, fitted to a high standard and with everything you could need. The position is great, being very near the centre of the city as well as many different shops. The staff are very helpful and always respond to any issues promptly. Overall, I would definitely recommend Code as a place to live whilst studying.

I have never met such happy staff. They are always so helpful and kind. Initially, I thought living in a studio might make me feel unsocial, but I often bump into friends around the building, which is actually better than having to socialise with flatmates you don’t get along with. Perfect place for (but not limited to) introverts - 10/10! Also Campus, Tesco, Lidl, everything is so so close.

I have loved living at CODE and I have been here since my first year. The rooms are recieved in great condition and spacious and they also have great, and modern facilities unlike other accommodations that seem very outdated. There are always fun events planned here which are a great way to meet people and have some fun! It also has a great location with the local supermarket and campus within walking distance. And I would highly recommend Code as a student accommodation

Amazing Experience at Code Accommodation! I had an incredible experience staying at Code Accommodation in Leicester! The social spaces are a huge highlight—they're modern, spacious, and perfect for hanging out with friends or meeting new people. Whether you’re looking to relax or study, there’s always a comfortable spot available. Another thing I absolutely loved was how clean everything is. The staff does an amazing job keeping the entire place spotless, from the communal areas to the hallways themselves. It always feels fresh and welcoming. The location is unbeatable! It’s conveniently located near tons of food stores, restaurants, and cafes, so you’re never far from a great meal or quick snack. Whether you're craving something casual or fancy, it’s all within walking distance, which is super convenient. Code is the best student accommodation in leicester by far, studio flats with their own kitchen, 24/7 security, free onsite gym, onsite laundry room, garden, communal room, study rooms and so much more. The staff at code really make everyone feel safe, happy and comfortable, helping everyone in anyway they can, really going above and beyond. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to study at university in leicester, especially if you like to have your own space!!

Amazing studio. Stayed at leicester code students and loved my time there so much I stayed another year! The staff are so friendly and always there to help with anything. If you have any problems the maintenance is really great and fast. My studio was amazing to live in as it was really spacious and light thanks to the large windows. My favourite thing about code is definitely the staff and how friendly and warm they all are. Also how good value for money it is!

I've lived at Code for two years now and I've renewed my room for a third, I love it here! Having a studio is great for when you want your own space but then Code go out of there way to create a community by setting up events and get togethers to meet other residents. The staff are all lovely and with a 24 hour security team you can call with any issues, I feel really safe living here.

So I lived here in 1st and 3rd year and I loved both times. In my year out of CODE they renovated all of the communal spaces and the new ones look amazing and are way more spacious. There are regular events that I attend with my friends and I always looked forward to the welcome party at the beginning of the year! The site is cleaned Daily and you can see De Montfort Campus outside of your window if you live on the river side. The on-site security is always reassuring with Sandy acting like a father to every student who lives there. The on-site Cafe is cheap and the food is always great, I found that I'd regularly make friends in the Cafe with others looking to order food.
Awful, been waiting 4 weeks for them to fix my shower. So overpriced, nothing gets fixed, elevators are dodgy. Don’t recommend :(
They tried charging me over £500 in damages and won't explain why, they manually disabled email replies (whilst telling you to email the same address if there are any issues) so you're forced to call them. Seems like this happened to a lot of residents, probably due to the owner wanting to extort residents as much as possible as they leave. My room was absolutely spotless and nothing was missing. Mains were turned off when I was absent so I am absolutely disgusted by how they operate.
This is literally the worst accommodation you could live at in terms of staff. They don't replace anything that is out of data and ruined in terms of furniture and living necessities. I know multiple people who have stayed there and their showerheads stopped working and they didn't fix it for weeks. Even with me, they didn't change my sofa even tho it was completely ruined. They charge you extra for electricity so ready your contracts, by far the worst uni accommodation I have experience and it has caused me a lot of anxiety because they think they can do anything and get away with it.
They’re willing to help out as much as they can when things go wrong
Worst place to stay at they honestly they harass you and your guarantors and threaten to take you to court. During this pandemic alot of private accoms gave 50% rent but code wants the full rent price even when your not living there. They only care about the money and I will be warning future people to stay away from this place. They honestly are so rude and disrespectful the way they come and knock on your door. There would be times they’ll even open it without your permission.
Whatever you do, DO NOT STAY AT CODE. During the pandemic they did not help financially whatsoever. I was forced to pay the final instalment for a room I was not living in due to government guidance as well as the fact we weren’t able to access any of the things we pay extra for such as the gym or cafe. After paying and moving out in June, in July I was contacted saying I owed £60. this was supposedly due them having to deep clean my matress (which would need to have been done anyway) and resurfacing my hob. When I left everything was perfectly fine in my room. They sent me evidence of their claims about what was wrong and it was clear nothing was wrong with the mattress of the hob but they made me pay anyway with threats of taking me to court. If you move into code you will be robbed!! It is not worth the price anyway and then they steal money from you after you’ve left. I hope this review stops the possibility of code stealing from people like they have stolen from me.
During covid-19, left the accommodation to go home before lockdown taking all my belongings. Meaning my room would be unused for over 4 months and unable to go back due to lockdown rules. However many accommodations in and around Leicester have cancelled the final instalment for students as they left, however code “monitored the situation closely”, as the situation got worse they still charged us the full amount despite on site facilities also being shut. Lack of communication, general lack of sympathy and consideration for tenants.
During the first lockdown we had nearly 600 students living with us, and worked hard to maintain the physical and mental well-being of these students. We continued to operate security 24/7 and had a dedicated team living on site covering the same hours – as well as offering on-line support via our website 7 days a week, 9am until 10pm.We were committed to helping everyone who rented from us and contacted all our students, asking if they needed any assistance during the lockdown. We sent more than a dozen tailored newsletters to our tenants, created blogs with key updates, responded to nearly 2,800 online chats and sent more than 5,000 personal email responses to residents. For those still on site, we went above and beyond and this included providing a shopping service for self-isolating and vulnerable students, providing all NHS students with free laundry cards, working with Royal Mail to adapt our delivery service and providing free bikes to help students with exercise in line with Government guidelines. We also operated a daily well-being call for those that have welfare issues. We switched activities online – offering free fitness sessions and free mindfulness classes – and delivered Easter eggs to all residents, as well as other small gifts to keep morale high. Our students have told us of their immense gratitude for this, including comments like “I'm 100% [happy] with the help and support I've got through this lovely company” and “it’s really made my day, especially during this difficult time.” You can read about the breadth of things we have done on our CODE blog. We were very mindful of those students who are facing financial challenges, and put in place a new hardship process for our students if they felt they may struggle to pay their rent. The fund allowed for both deferred payments and where appropriate (where there was genuine hardship) reductions in rent from any outstanding payments. On top of this, we offered to refund costs where possible, such as returning the price of any unused electricity and removing cancellation fees. We also assisted students where we can, such as turning off all electrical items and offering room clearances, if they were in lockdown at home. In making our decisions on rent we had to consider many factors. CODE had to pay its contractors, utility firms and staff – and of course our lenders that funded the construction of the Code buildings still expect to be paid on time. We realised we had a key part to play in supporting the local economy and in keeping our staff in jobs. We were aware some universities and a few private providers with university partnership support were able to release students in their residences from rent obligations, but our research has found this was the minority. We put in an enormous effort to make sure our students were supported during the continuing Covid-19 crisis, while maintaining the viability of the business.
Management are appalling. Go somewhere else

I Really enjoy living at code, the social nights are great for making friends and just generally giving yourself something to do, theyve really improved them and now theyre different each week! They have great facilities, a cafe and a gym as well as study rooms and communal spaces so really you dont have to go far for anything. Its close to 2 supermarkets and a short walk from campus. Town isnt far either! CODE is so nice compared to other halls, the location is quieter without noise from traffic ect when youre closer to the city centre, and i have a river view room which is worth it for the privacy,

A great place to stay. I lived here for 2 years and loved every second, the onsite gym was overused and saved me money on a gym membership, the cafe was a great place for a study area and movie nights were amazing.

Although time was spent in halls, I commuted to University most of the time. I would highly recommend halls to spend the most of your time with like minded people, have fun and be exposed to the University Culture.
