I instantly felt at home on campus which was so important for me as it made being away from my family so much more palatable. Even before I joined the uni I got so much support and even when I struggle some days, I never feel alone.

Really good uni and campus, people are great and so are the lecturers. The societies are really good because of their own doing, the student union is really poor and doesn’t support new societies or any societies that aren’t rugby or football.
I love studying at Lancaster University and I'm so glad I chose it as my first choice. The campus facilities are great- plenty of study spaces, a well-equipped library (not just books!), a variety of places to eat and drink on campus, good indoor and outdoor sports facilities, and lots of outside green space. There are numerous sports clubs and societies to get involved with and it's a great way to make friends. The staff are really helpful. Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel welcomed. I definitely recommend Lancaster University!
The library on campus is perfect for any late night studying as it is open 24/7!!
There're a lot waiting to be explored
I have had a really good experience with accommodation and social aspects of the uni.
The facility at Lancaster University is do modern and the campus is so big that it tooke me few hours to explore all at once
I instantly felt at home on campus which was so important for me as it made being away from my family so much more palatable. Even before I joined the uni I got so much support and even when I struggle some days, I never feel alone.
I like hanging out in the common rooms, a chill environment, good internet connection.
Lancaster University has been one of the best universities that I have attended with beautiful green campus, best food around and of course the most amazing people to be with it’s the best place to be
There are lots of societies to join but are massively underfunded by the SU who aren’t very attentive. The campus itself it nice with decent facilities.
The university offers a lot is terms of clubs but also different types of support
Campus facilities are nice , the library is a really great place to study, its 24 hr! Could add a bigger cafeteria for students to buy food
Since I have stayed on for some years on campus, I personally think that the university has an ample amount of support services for its students, although I am of the opinion that the student union could perhaps be more competent in advocating for students’ welfare and concerns
Good school, nothing amazing. Could use a bit more social diversity.
has a lot to offer but don’t seem very approachable these spaces they are very out the way
As of now everything is going smoothly, the faculty are responding and answering our questions and there are plenty of societies where I recommend people to join no matter what as its a way to connect new people. The wifi is working good inside the room and in each departments building.
Plenty of options, choices and support on campus free to all students.
Lancaster University is big and beautiful, with great facilities, students from all over the world, friendly teachers, lots of club activities, and a large gymnasium
Its been great, great university and accom
Very helpful, easy to navigate between courses and provide a lot of societies
Decent uni with great social events
It's a nice uni and I like the social life
No problems whatsoever with Lancaster University, a great campus and learning experience.
Great university with plenty of societies and SU
A great university for campus life, students and friendly environment!
Studying at Lancaster University has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The lecturers are exceptionally helpful, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that you fully understand the material and feel supported in your studies. Their dedication and approachability make a significant difference to the overall learning experience. The campus itself is a wonderful place to be. It’s beautifully maintained, offering a welcoming and vibrant environment that’s perfect for both studying and socializing. With a wide range of facilities, there’s something for everyone—whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to study, a place to grab a coffee with friends, or opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities. Overall, Lancaster University provides a supportive and enriching atmosphere that makes it a great place to learn and grow
A great experience so far and a great campus!
the student union could improve their services to the clubs and societies such as providing funds for students that would represent their club to compete in BUCS instead of just solely reusing the same jersey for years.
Very friendly, and international community. Can make friends easily here and it’s a very relaxing town filled with young energy
Very good and enjoyable in this accommodation
Good campus amenities and a good community
Normal university experience! Nothing else to add
I’ve been in the university for 4 years now and it’s honestly getting better and better Year over year. You can tell that it keeps on being developed and that they are doing their best to aid the students. I love the extra services they offer such as the careers teams, tutoring and so on. I had a week in which my laptop broke and the new rental laptops in the library were a genuine lifesaver. I’m not sure what I would’ve done without them!
Great experience for intenational students to be here
The learning experience is very good and the internet speed is good
Great area, the staff is kind and easy to answer every request. The spaces are clean and organised. There are breakfast clubs every month !!
Beyond being a top ten university, Lancaster is a lovely place to study!
A great university experience with so many ways to get involved and loads of events!
The student union is not really helpful
Good university with great facilities in all areas
A good uni, that suffer with lack of organisation and the ability to support it's students fully. Sub-par experience with them during covid times.
Good university but the student Union lets it down
One of the best universities in the UK. Has amazing teaching staff and a vast campus with a lot of great resources.
Very good, enjoy it very much it is enjoyable
It’s alright. Would come back again. Good community
Great experience so far wifi sometimes not good
Very good university, good facilities
I love this university, if you prefer quieter, safer towns, with somewhat of a nightlife. Then you’ll like it here.
I have really enjoyed my time at Lancaster Uni
My department faculty is wonderful!
Good campus with good facilities. Library is excellent and has many study spaces, sometimes too busy. Campus gym is too busy at all times and discouraging to go to. Unhelpful staff with lack of care for students.
overall i’ve really enjoyed me time at the uni. i do wish they spent more time telling us about jobs rather than just post grad training
Love the campus! So much available for you
Great infrastructure. Thou, not value for money.
Excellent uni with plenty of support
Lancaster is a good university. My professors are very helpful when I have approached them with questions about my work, and modules are quite varied. I can't speak much for the facilities at campus, as I never lived on campus and only go for my classes. However, the market held regularly brings something unique and interesting to campus and is fun to visit.
love the university it has a great campus and library
Would recommend this university
Great university with an amazing career service.
Lancaster University is excellent.
Good fun, better living in town than on campus.
So far the experience has been mostly good, the student union is terrible; they will turn a blind eye to racism and do f’ck all.
Very happy at the univeristy. Only issue is lack of office space for students
Make sure you are not treated worse due to the country you come from. Do it for yourself and for others.
Honestly lancaster as a campus goes above and beyond the only negative being a slightly small town however the uni really makes the most of it and a smaller town along with the collegiate means you see everyone you know and it’s easier to make mates
Amazing facilities and very friendly and supportive faculty members.
A welcoming campus university. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Great uni with loads to offer and get involved with.
Lancaster is a great place to study. People are nice, variety of societies.
Excellent facilities and staff with amazing career service post graduation. Internet can cut out at random spots on campus (usually during busy class hours) but it is very fast and mostly works. Student union is alright.
Teaching is usually pretty awesome, campus is very nice, plenty of socialising to be done with societies and what not. Not the best for clubbing if that's a big thing for you.
Now that everything is open Campus is an amazing place to be and does not really have anything to improve on, clubs and societies are about as good as you can get for an university of this size. The union does the basics but other bodies often fill the role of what you’d expect from a typical SU.
Amazing university. I can definitely recommend. I really enjoyed my lectures and felt like I learned a lot.
Great university and great location. I was an undergrad here and then a few years after graduation chose to study my PhD at Lancaster also as I felt it was the best place for me. The management school is fantastic for learning and also always happy to help for anyone who is struggling with any aspect of the course. The campus is fantastic, and often you will feel like you do not need to leave because everything is here, however, if you do then Lancaster city centre is a lovely place to visit and has all the shops, bars, restaurants, etc. that you need.
As an English Literature and Creative Writing student, I feel like my department cares a lot about my experience and I am really grateful that I get to connect with tutors and staff that genuinely are there for me and who are also very inspiring to talk to. I love the greenery surrounding campus, and I feel very safe with the people I get to meet. I feel confident here when making new friends and I feel that there's support in every corner no matter what kind of hardships I go through- there is always someone to turn to!
Sometimes good sometimes s***. ((Depends on your department massively, physics are wonderful))
Really good university, highly recommend it
do not expect anything and you won’t be disappointed.
Great support and great staff at the University
Discriminatory. I’m a foreigner, and I feel I have been repeatedly discriminated against in my exchanges with the Graduate College Accommodation office.
The staffs and lecturers are good, they try their best to deliver best lectures especially during Covud-19
Good university, let down by a minority number of staff. Students Union often fails to represent students
University is good, SU don't do anything of any importance
Staff and departments have been really attentive and supportive throughout the last 3 years
The Lancaster uni is not bad. There is a spar on campus which can let people buy daily necessities.
A great engineering department with a strong research team and great technical facilities
An all round good uni, wifi could be better though
Helps me a lot, the environment is nice, the staff is friendly, and the mail is answered quickly. Public facilities are available.
Have a so nice and fun experience
Wonderful staff and facilities. Incredibly helpful with everything going on during the pandemic especially in times of isolation they provide an incredible service and support.
Fabulous service. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent facilities
Very nice campus uni with lots of nature nearby
Great for the course, would recommend
Joining Bailrigg FM in my second year and then getting involved with the exec in my third was the best thing I ever did at Lancaster.
Love the university! Library is brilliant, the campus is beautiful with lots of ducks and green spaces (not including the vast number of sports fields too!), and each college feels like a second-home, with an awesome sense of belonging and pride.
Great uni. The University is constantly improving their campus faculties
Generally fine. The workload can be really heavy when assessment is coming, but it's OK as study is essentially not easy.
My experience in Lancaster University has been great.
Wonderful campus, helpful staff.
Happy to be here. Lancaster has a good public transportation system which connected with town and uni itself.
