pretty good uni, staff are nice
Great uni, great facilities, great teachers.
excellent in providing academic support and other support
I studied mental health nursing, my experience was awful, tutor failed to sign off my work at a clinical skills workshop due to them "forgetting". When I raised the concern it was swiftly ignored. I was informed by a tutor that previous assessors can sign work off on placement retrospectively, however a week before I was due to finish said placement the tutor in question changed his mind and lied about ever giving me false information, which resulted in my failing the module. I requested to have an essay remarked or relooked at, this was also ignored. I raised a concern on placement about an assessor discriminating me, the outcome was, the university failed me for doing so and made me redo a placement from the start. When I finally did finish all the required work, the university informed me that my assessor on my final placement had not signed something off, this was false, if it had not been for my assessor on placement, emailing several times with evidence, I would have failed.
Average uni experience located in an alright spot
I came from China to the UK and studied here for a year for my future. To be honest, I did not fully devote myself to my studies, but I believe I have done my best and obtained the knowledge I want. A degree is one-sided, but I believe the knowledge I have gained can also be effectively utilized in my future work. Anyway, I will remember and miss this school when I return to my hometown
The University of Huddersfield offers exceptional academic programs, practical experience, supportive staff, inclusive community, and a vibrant campus, fostering personal growth and preparing students for success. Highly recommended!
I like how homely the university feels, it’s not as overwhelming as other universities I’ve been to. The campus is beautiful regardless of the weather/season and it’s always so nice to study in. The lecturers are so supportive, I’m in my first year and I’m beyond grateful for the understanding and helpful staff. I haven’t really taken off in clubs and societies so I can’t really speak on those but from what I’ve seen I’ll give it a middle score.
Great Facilities, Friendly Staff!
All of the staff at the university are helpful, friendly and accommodating! The social scene is great and the careers service have been particularly helpful in setting me up for success!
