The university has a strong faculty and provides a solid academic experience, which I appreciate. However, the town lacks part-time job opportunities, making it hard for students to manage their finances. Additionally, the university offers limited career assistance, leaving many feeling unprepared for the job market. New students may struggle to make friends due to the scarcity of social events. Overall, while the education is good, the support for employability and social engagement could be significantly improved.

Our Careers Service can help with part-time jobs, through the Job Shop and careers events that put you in touch with employers. Plus, you get Careers help for life, even after you graduate, to help with CVs and interview skills. You can also sign up to be a Student Ambassador, where we’ll pay you to attend events or respond on forums (just like this one), which is a great way to meet friends. The Students’ Union also has a packed calendar of events that you should check out on their website. If you feel you need some more support, you can always reach out to our Careers and Employability Service, our Wellbeing Service, and the Students’ Union in Student Central.
The university campus is amazing with a wide ranges of different architectural buildings that are fascinating to look at. The university provides lots of support from your own course leaders to the academic teams and careers staff. The university campus is a nice area to have a walk in due to the canals and amazing nature views that surrounds the university. The university is always evolving by creating new buildings and facilities that are beautiful and accessible.

Great facilities for study with state of the art lecture theatres and wide range of societies including sports such as football and badminton etc.
Its been 3 months in studying at this university. The faculty, the infrastructure, student union, career services everything is great. I am having a great time here.

I love it here! The staff is very nice and helpful, and I’ve made great friends. The huge library is one of my favorite things, plus you can borrow laptops, which is super convenient. There are many societies that celebrate events, which makes campus life really fun and engaging.
Overall, as an International student, I really like study in huddersfield. Because there are so many events that happening around the studies, and also really active. So Its really help us to not homesick and get network

The apartment is conveniently located close to the supermarket and the facilities are complete

Huddersfield is a great university. There’s a lot of support for everyone and plenty of societies to choose from! The facilities are incredible, we have a lot of brand new buildings and lots of equipment available.
