It's my second year living here and I love it. The facilities are incredible, everything looks nice and new. The staff are amazing, always available and willing to help. Maintenance is always quick, they try and fix anything as soon as possible. Room inspections are always scheduled properly, and we're always told when to expect them, unlike some other accommodations I've stayed at. They always put on events to socialise. The location is perfect because it's close to uni, the town centre/station and Sainsbury's, so I have all I need close by. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Its central location is convenient but comes with significant downsides, including excessive noise from nearby bars and pubs. Weekends are particularly disruptive, with drunken crowds causing disturbances and littering the streets. Overall, the combination of high costs and a chaotic environment makes it less suitable for students seeking a peaceful living situation.

The facilities at the Oldgate House is amazing as it is kept clean at all times and has a luxury feeling. Another good thing about this accommodation is that it is very close to the university with a a wide ranges of shops nearby such as the grocery store, boba tea shop and takeaways. Mostly importantly is has an amazing view outside my accommodation room that overlooks the busy main roads and football stadium.

I really like here. This is one of my best and good choice-live in here. In the morning, waking up in my beautiful home, which is lovely and wonderful. At afternoon, delicious food with me. The room is very big. If there is anything wrong with the hardware, they will respond quickly. Everything is clean except that the mattress may be a little dirty!

Since Nathan took over in 2023, the site has excelled. The management is fantastic and friendly and lovely to talk to. Kiya is a lovely staff member who will always stop for a conversation. Although there are issues with the wifi.

The room is amazing, everything looks brand new. Staff are nice and whenever there was a problem they'd to fix it quickly. The position is perfect, as it is close to Sainsbury's, the town centre and uni. I would definitely recommend this place.

Good studios lots of space The car park is the issue for me as there is no gate and people with out permits have been parking there

I am genuinely so pleased with Oldgate House as a student accommodation that I rebooked for the next year the day it was possible. I love the independence and privacy you get; which normally wouldn’t be the case in shared accommodation, where normally you’d share a kitchen, etc. Speaking of kitchens, I really love the kitchen you get in your studio. It comes with absolutely everything you need AND a little dining extension. The studio is quite spacious and well separated. Decorating it feels more like home, as opposed to other accommodations where really you feel like you’re staying in someone’s room and you get very little space to make it feel like your own. They host social events often and celebrate national holidays with the tenants which is so lovely! The staff are so friendly too! If there’s ever a fault in your studio the maintenance team sort everything for you quickly too. I wish I could write more but there is a character limit. I really love staying here and I’m so pleased!

Customer service is great and for the price the place is fairly decent however we need more social gatherings/activities people in this building don’t know anyone in the building.
It’s a really lovely accommodation, all stuff is really nice to everyone, and they have best locations in Huddersfield which is I love it!!

I moved to oldgate house for my second year and it was thr best decision i made. The staff are fantastic, incredibly kind and always supporting the students. They provide a high quality and engaging service which supports students from all cultural backgrounds.

Great place with lovely staff. Very welcoming and friendly and was first choice of stay frm the beginning I moved to Huddersfield and wouldn’t want to live elsewhere. Great accessibility to entertainment such as cinema room and games in common room. Sophisticated rooms which are paramount with prices (currently) and have enjoyed my stay here for 2 years. HELENA is a great deputy manager and takes care in students personal welfare as well as remaining professional at all times. She is always looking for new ways for students to enjoy their stay and always is smiling. The rest of the customer service advisors are also very kind and are always willing to help.

The staffs are really friendly!! Any maintenance report will get sorted out quickly. I wish there’s more gym appliances tho but that’s just personal preference

Just the fire alarm is the problem no body from the staff is working on the weekends so nobody turn off the alarm :)
An amazing place to be in as it has everything a student would ask for from gym to cinema room to study areas and the team that works there is amazing they make you feel special as they are always around and friendly to everyone

My time living here has been amazing, and definitely makes my uni experience 10 times better. The staff are friendly, engaging and helpful, the on-site facilities are always kept to a high standard, and the response time on maintenance issues is swift. I can say without a doubt that I have no regrets about choosing Oldgate as my place to call home.

Very good, I am pretty confident Oldgate is the best place in Huddersfield for a student to stay. I appreciate that I have my own space and am not affected by other people like in halls, though I would greatly appreciate more social events.
