An excellent university with helpful staff. I always know where to get help and the staff are so friendly. The societies and clubs are broad and all are very friendly.
Great university with a friendly atmosphere and very good buildings and facilities
inconsiderate in terms of marking and does not take into account personal circumstances and the affect of COVID.
Loads of clubs and societies to join. There's also a large range of places to eat on campus
Note - my only experience of this university was when lockdowns were omnipresent. I studied computer science. Ignore my star ratings. Really poor teaching. More than 1 have difficult accents that, when combined with intricate modules, makes for a solid 0/10 learning experience in which you must learn the content via third-party books and the internet. 1 teacher does nothing but read (painfully slow) the contents off the slides — slides of which are pretty barren themselves. The programming module is fine up until it arrives at OOP, which if this is your first experience with OOP, will almost definitely be a bad time. Difficult concepts (for beginners) are brushed over and leave you struggling to understand. The module that covered algorithms was decent; no real complaints there. If you find yourself in the UoH Computing discord, you'll find that similar complaints of teacher incompetence are rather common. TEF ratings are meaningless. In none covid times things may be better for you.
Nice environment. Spacious for reading
The uni is full of facilities for anything a student might need, and the staff are friendly and helpful, both on academic topics and more personal ones.
My university experience has been very good so far, considering that most of our learning was all online. The tutors have all been extremely helpful. The teaching has been all very good quality and all of the assignments were explained very well beforehand, the assignments were all spaced out quite nicely which helped the students with time management.
Super friendly and supportive. All my lecturers have been really helpful for my first year at university. The music society that have sorted out quizzes and other virtual activities for the beginning of the year as well as occasional activities throughout the rest of the year.
The University is fine. West Yorkshire is a pretty disgusting place though. Huddersfield is a boring town.
