The premises is at a good location, saying that there are loads of problems a few rooms are facing. There needs to be more social events.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Place well connected with main train stations, King's Cross and London Bridge. New building and facilities. Helpful and available management. Lots of gifts and raffles. Great green space and secure bike store. There're many restaurants around the building, for any taste. Many bus lines close to the building, and the Highbury tube station at 15 minute walk. Also, the Canonbury overground is close. Newington Green is such a vibrant area, and safe. I spent one amazing year at the residence and enjoyed the area.
Comfortable, calm and safe experience! Help and events are always encouraged by staff and the quality of the hall is always up to standard. Would definitely recommend!
Best staff very friendly always looking for new events for the students
It's a well positioned set up. Having bus as the main transport network and train is also easily available.
As a resident in Charles Morton court, my experience has been decent so far. The team are very friendly and accommodate your needs instantly. The rooms are wonderful and spacious and overall my experience has been great
I’ve been an international student for 10 years, and I’ve studied in China, Singapore, America, and London, and I think Charles Morton Court is one of the very best student accommodation I’ve ever lived. It’s reasonable at this price, the sound proof for my studio is great, and people who work here are also very nice and considerate. Highly recommended!
At Charles Morton Court, I found supportive property management, which always helped me during my one-year stay; as an alone person in London, this has been very important to me. The building is new, located in a great location, plus upstairs a Tesco, and well connected with buses to Kings' Cross. Around the building, there are many parks, from Clissold through Finsbury to Highbury. In the accommodation, you can play pool and table tennis for free! plus, you can have inner bike racks and a garden. And you know what? All this is in London!
The facilities and design are by far the worst I have seen, their website says, ‘modern and stylish’, but it couldn’t be more hideous. The room is blank by the way, there is no décor, at all. The pictures are misleading, if you notice throughout all their websites (other bookings sites as well) THERE ISN’T A SINGLE COMPLETE PICTURE OF THE TOILET/BATHROOMS. It is HALF of what a normal private dorm should be. The shower cubicle barely has any wiggle room. And it is depressing, it looks more like a prison bathroom. Some of the kitchens have the audacious view of a brick wall out of their windows. There is no study room, IN A STUDENT DORM. There is no security at night nor maintenance person on site in case anything happens. What they do is instead pay students to be a ‘night warden’ who work in shifts, if anything serious happens you’re on your own. The pool table is busted. Their ‘hangouts’ are just food left in the common on occasional Fridays, AND NO ONE CLEANS IT over the weekend.
Charles Morton Court is a great place to live in. The room and kitchen are clean and well-distributed, but also the price is fair enough for the zone. As it is located on zone 2, there are buses lines going everywhere. This is definitely cheaper than taking the tube all the time. Apart from that, Stoke Newington, which is the name of the neighbourhood, has plenty of restaurants, chemists, bakeries, markets and supermarkets. Tesco is literally downstairs. Additionally, the team reception is very kind, helpful and creative because many events take place in the common area during the whole year. As a result, meeting people and socializing with others is easy. It feels like home away from home. I highly recommend this place!!
Don’t recommend living here. I moved out 7 months ago and am still waiting for my deposit back which is been made very difficult to get back. Small bugs in the rooms and kitchens. Door broke and maintenance took months to fix it. No social spaces or social life here. Activities were very kiddy for university students
Amazing accommodation staff on site, very polite and helpful, during Covid 19 I have received a lot of support from the staff they have organised multiple events and competitions to keep up our minds distracted from what is going on around the world, I would of loved to book again at Charles Morton court however I am a third year so I no longer require accommodation but I do recommend Charles Morton court for anyone who is looking for an accommodation around the area, the accommodation In general is very quite and peaceful I haven’t had any issues around the area. Thank you to all the staff for your support and help during my stay at Charles Morton court.
Very clean, nice and new rooms. Very good for its price. The location is nice, it’s zone 2 and busses are going everywhere
Great Place to stay. Accomodation has a very helpful and genuine management.
Nice accomodation in a fairly central area.
I have been living at Charles Morton Court for 2 years now and rebooked again. The reception team is so nice and they always go out of their way to help you. The rooms are very good value for money too. The area is nice too, definitely recommend this place
I’ve had the best first year here and couldn’t of imagined myself anywhere else! Going to uni for the first time is always a scary step but having a nice environment to come home to has made the whole process a lot easier. Couldn’t recommend enough!
The place in itself is located in a awkward area which makes it's a walk to pretty much everything except the Tesco located below the building itself. There's no social life, most people are mature students who are less willing to socialise with the youngsters living there. During my stay we had 3 different managers which meant mistakes being made on student accounts. The accommodation is clean but during the first months there was no weekly cleaners cleaning the kitchen, which most accommodation I've stayed in normally has. No vacuum or dust pan in the kitchen which meant buying your own. Small common room. If you're looking for an accommodation where you can socialise this isn't the one.
