Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
I like it here however I wish there were more events going on
Very clean, brilliant services, worth every penny
Top notch accom, like a barbie dreamhouse. Clean, friendly, happy vibes!

Wick park is amazing!! This is my second year coming back to the accommodation. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. There is always student events throughout the year. Love the coffee machine :))
Best atmosphere, I love living here so much that I had to come back, nicest staff !
It's been a great experience living at work park. The property is well maintained and everyone around is super friendly. 100% recommending friends who wish to come to London for education.
One of the best accommodations ever! I’m back for another year because of how much I enjoyed it last year. Amazing amenities like a gym and loads of events year-round. Friendly staff who are always on hand and rooms that are clean and spacious
love it here, staff are friendly and spaces are suberb
So glad to be living here again!
recently had a great experience staying at Wick Park university accommodation. The amenities are top-notch, providing everything needed for a comfortable student life. The common areas are well-maintained and create a welcoming atmosphere. I want to give a special shout-out to Uma and Reece; they are incredibly nice and always ready to help with any questions or concerns. Their friendly approach really enhances the living experience here. Overall, I highly recommend Wick Park for anyone looking for quality university accommodation!
Wick Park is truly one of the best student accommodations I have ever experienced. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease, thanks to the incredible staff who go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels at home. The team, particularly Uma, Reece, and Olivia, deserve special recognition for their exceptional service and care. They are always friendly, approachable, and quick to resolve any issues, creating a warm, community atmosphere that makes life so much easier for students.
I love sadia。she is a nice person!
awesome really cute and nice staff
Amazing rooms with good storage, and lovely staff!
Amazing facilities and very polite and attentive staff
Ive had a great experience, all staff are amazing and friendly and all the facilities are perfect
the accommodation is very nice to live in
The staff are very friendly and very helpful with any issues. The cleaning perhaps needs improving
A really gorgeous place to live, especially if you’re moving out for the first time- the staff are friendly and helpful and events are held all the time!!
It feels like such a privilege to get to live in a newly built student accommodation with built in facilities such as a washing machine and a gym. Situated in a creative lively hub and very near to the overground.
This building is a great place to live, especially eith all the free facilities and amenities.
Having been one of the earlier autumn residents to reside in the accommodation, I can confidently say, the members of staff here are delightful and offer assistance or just a good chat when needed. The location is no problem for me however it is at quite a distance from my university and can be annoying to travel to especially during rush hour. However the accommodation itself makes up for it. It’s likely the nicest one around, based on the opinions of my friends who have visited and delivery men who were surprised to find out it’s even student accommodation. Cleaning is regularly occurring whether it be within the social spaces or shared kitchens. I’ll definitely be renewing my tenancy for the next academic year.
Nice place nice people nice nice nice
Needs a transit/bus stop guide, especially when there is road diversions. The kitchen was very dirty on my floor. Where does the garbage go? The automatic lights ran out too quickly, ie. when I was studying and showering - they just s*** off! The front reception and all staff I met were very friendly! Amazing social spaces and decor in common areas.
good, the staff are nice and kind
i love the service and the vibe here.
Great accomodation, with great amenities and lovely staff , such a pleasure to be at this accomodation
Really fantastic accommodation, helpful staff, great facilities and social amenities included in price, and a short walking distance to uni.
Really nice property, love to have the gym downstairs. Reception always helpful.
really fantastic accommodation, helpful staff, great facilities and social areas, beautiful big gym included in price, and a short walking distance to food shops, station and uni.
Staff and super friendly and a great help. I’d recommend wick park again
Generally a new and comfortable student hall with lots of fancy facilities. I love the gym, karaoke room and flat kitchen. However, sometimes it takes a while to get equipments such as jobs or shower fixed, which might affect daily plans. We also have 24 hours front desk and parcel room, making online shopping pretty easy. Yet sometimes we won't get any notifications for the arrival of parcels or mails.
Really nice accommodation with great facilities and a very helpful team.
very good friendly staff that care
Best accommodation everrrr!!!!
My time here has been so great! Room is spacious and the communal area is so thoughtfully made! The staff is super warm and friendly!
Wick Park is a brand new student accommodation located near Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The building is situated at a 2 min walking distance from the nearest bus stops and food retailers/grocery stores. The property offers unique facilities such as a private dining hall, TV lounge in addition to a cinema room, in-apartment laundry, 24/7 coffee machine and more. The team, Olivia, Taylor, Reece, Uma, Shreyansh, and Alpha offer prompt support to address the needs of the residents. They are highly approachable and showcase respect and a friendly attitude towards everyone. If you are looking for a peaceful, cosy and a relaxing place, please do visit.
great place to live. staff is so nice
Best student accommodation to live in! All the staff members are super lovely and friendly
From the day I have moved in, I have been welcomed by the most tremendous staff members. Everything is highly hygienic along with a great spaces to study and socialise. I am very close to my universities campus which I find very ideal. I would love to return to wick park in my future.
Wick Park is a great new student accommodation which was shortlisted by the student property week award. As a young person it offers a lot amenities within that it feels as though there is never any need to leave. Entertainment, quiet places to study, In-apartment laundry, well designed bedrooms, innovative in fact. And of course friendly staff, in which you can pick up a conversation with. I chose to live at wick park, purely based on aesthetic and the en-suite room, but I was pleasantly surprised upon my arrival to see all that was available to me, considering I never toured the accommodation.
Wick Park- Novel Student Accommodation in Hackney Wick exceeds expectations and is probably the only property where the photographs don't do justice because of how amazing the space is! It is brand new, all facilities are top of the line, the communal areas are well-maintained, and each quarter is designed with functionality in mind. 10/10 would recommend it because it is good value for money! The area does feel a little isolated at late hours because of its location but if you like quiet localities, it's worth it.
When comparing my accommodation to others, I feel lucky as there are lots of benefits making the money worth it. I have an ensuite, constant and free access to a washing machine and dryer, a gym and a modern, clean space to live and socialise in.
The newly built Wick Park is a fantastic value for money, with spacious rooms and communal kitchen, brilliant social spaces like a Karaoke room, study nook, amphitheatre, courtyard with BBQ, gym and so much more. Staff are always on hand to help with security personnel situated overnight.
I really enjoy the facilities this place has to offer, such as the gym and karaoke room are really unique and fun! It’s nice that I have a free and close place to work out. The room itself is really nice, aesthetically pleasing, and the bathroom is also really spacious. The only issue at the moment is there is a night club nearby that plays disruptive music but that’s not the accomodations fault.
I think the accommodation is really nicely built and has everything students will need. It’s really useful that the laundry is in the shared kitchens. I do think the price is extortionately high for what it is. The staff seem really nice as well and were helpful in the booking process
