The accomodation support of urbanest kingscross is pretty good. I applied for maintenance at a day's night in this month because lights in my room broke. The staff came to my room and fixed it really quickly in the morning on the next day. The slight shortcomings of this accomodation are that its price is relatively expensive and it is far away from the subway station. Although the bus stop is closer, it always delays and may lead to late to lessons.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
good quality and convenient location but toooo expensive
Overall, the social aspects and location are unbeatable. The staff is great. Any issues get resolved either that day or the day after. Again, the staff is absolutely amazing, very social, and a good chat (Shoutout to Javier). The internet however is a bit of a hit or miss but that's mostly due to the Glide Network. The social spaces are fine and the view is great, however, many rooms especially on lower floors have poor ventilation and kitchens become very hot (33C). I have had to keep my window open to ensure that the room temperature does not exceed 25C. It is okay value for money considering the location is only a 25min walk from the main campus. The area is mostly safe and has a GP practice closeby. There are lots of food and drink options and Camden is right around the corner so very accessible to good nightlife.
I love the 7*24h friendly and helpful reception at Urbanest Kings Cross

good location, have a reception
I was very happy to spend my year in London at Urbanest kings cross. The 6 room en-suite has plenty of storage space and the huge kitchen can be used for simple social events. There are some very nice and caring staff here. Firstly, let me thank Jason, the staff here, who drove to pick up a delivery I had sent to another Urbanest by mistake. Also, whenever I've been out shopping and had trouble getting my keys out, the staff at Reception have opened the door for me.
Despite the good location and the good quality of the room accomodation, the value for the money spent is not appropriate. Furthermore, I had a very bad experience that spoiled my overall experience at Urbanest KX. Indeed, all my belongings were trashed without my consent while I was away for the summer. This was done before the due date and regardless clear instructions by email to not clear my room. Tried to ask for a refund, but the one proposed was too poor for the value of the all items that were in my room.
Despite never missing a payment I am constantly and aggressively pestered for the monthly fees. The most terrible experience was when I returned to finish my Masters dissertation after lockdown. The room was unbearably hot due to a broken thermostat and it took more than 24 hours for maintenance to turn it off and they informed me that it would take at least 48 hours for my room to cool down! With an urgent deadline looming I had wasted 2 days travelling to Kings Cross. There was no alternative for me and I had to leave and go back home to work as I could not afford to waste any more time. They were so unhelpful and this is outrageous as I have paid for this room until September!
If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst place to live while at uni. Staff incapable of understanding simple questions, customer support team inexistent. Very slow in helping out with anything related to your room or flat (despite complaining for months we still don't have handles on our fridge doors). The room was given out really dirty both times I had to move in there, with things already broken (shower door and shower head, a light bulb, wooden piece from the bed frame, door lock, this is you only consider the room). Prices way too high for the room you actually get and location isn't great itself. The smell coming from the garbage room always fills up the corridor, reception area and staircase, because it's almost always too full to even fit the garbage (they don't come clean it very often and weeks old garbage accumulates). Overall I have had a very bad experience and a lot of stress caused by trying to reach out their customer 'support' team. Save yourself
Ruhul and Marcio are great guys! Staff here is helpful and make urbanest feel like home .
We gave them a deposit and the two days later decided on another property and almost a year later, we are still trying to get our deposit returned. The policy says it's fully refundable but they have given us every excuse possible and we still do not have our monies. They are not reputable and a sham organization. I would not give them any money.
we put down a deposit for Urbanest Kings Cross and two days later decided on different student housing. We have been trying for almost a year to get our money back without any success. They keep coming up with different excuses for not sending the money. They are a sham operation and I would not give them any money.
Worst experience possible for a student. Do not make the decision to go for this student accommodation. Horrible hygiene standards and very unprofessional staff, they will never respond to your messages or emails. Save yourselves DO NOT CHOOSE URBANEST!
Tried to check in to my suite and I found it very very dirty..they even did not bother to clean it or to check if it was cleaned...talked to the reception they promised to clean it...came back the next day and again it was not clean !! very very bad service
Dirty, management is not helpful at all. Rooms are very small and loud because of the train stations. No one helps.
A great location, but the rooms are very over priced and extremely loud due to the trains. Management is not helpful at all. Worst experience with them.
really good area and location. good place to take public traffic like bus and tube. and also reception is really kind especially Jason and Shenny. I wanna live in here more!!
I just checked my mailbox a few minutes ago and I discovered that there are several letters in my mailbox just now which were all sent from the Council about my council tax. I just opened one letter and found a Council tax student enquiry form it said that the student enquiry form needs to be returned three weeks after the letter was issued. The issue date was the 18th October and today is already the 28th November. It said that if the letter which contains the enquiry form isn't returned within three weeks after the issue date 18th October there will be a penalty of 70 pounds. The letters have clearly arrived at the annoying reception urbanest kings cross the latest by mid to late October, how come the letters suddenly arrived at my mailbox only today? I was looking and is still looking for my missing letter which contains the new llyold bank visa card, today when u guys annoying people were looking for my letter, you guys just suddenly discovered my letters sent from the council abou
They have the worst management possible. I would rather live at unite. At least their staff is well trained and equipped. They need to knock some sense into the highly unprofessional accounts team. Great building (kings cross) gets very hot in the summer season, good bathrooms. But my major concern was the management. If you wanna live in this specific area (kings cross) i'd recommend Victoria Hall its next door. Better management. Unfortunately the urbanest management makes the whole experience painful and ruins the stay. Living proof of the fancier the accommodation is the worst the management is.
This place is not worth the money. Don't hire room cleaners from CABENCO because they steal from you. Wifi is VERY bad, it stops working every hour or so. Very disorganized package management.
I had the worst experience of my life in Urbanest. I asked them to move my clothes from one room into the new room (which I would have done myself, but they wouldn't let me up a day early) and they said ok. They ended up losing/stealing thousands of dollars worth of items, including all of my work clothes and my laptop. They refuse to reimburse ma and answer my calls and they still say that I owe them rent money. Avoid at all costs!
I’m a current undergraduate student at UCL and when I was searching for accommodation I thought I’d found the one, but that’s far from the truth. The rooms are new and the building is modern which is great but it doesn’t compensate from the fact that the management is completely disorganized (parcels will go missing some how) and the location isn’t that great, it’s quite far from the nearest train station and local shops so, if you’re going to pay up to £400/500 weekly, I’d suggest looking for something more organized and close to everything.
Unorganised management and staff. Took more than 2 weeks to get the kitchen sink fixed and water was stopped during this time. Delays in sorting the parcels/delivered goods are common occurrence. Rooms are relatively new but it is advertised better than it is in reality.

I booked a room with urbanest and I was promised by urbanest accommodation team in case something happens with my university place I will be given back money which I paid for the reservation. Once I was told about uni decision, I cancelled my booking. From this point it's already a month and I still haven't heard anything back from them though I left few emails and calls. They just stole money so I don't advise it to students because they are cheaters.
extreme noise from railways, poor management, far from the tube
Great location for restaurants and bars, the staff is really friendly and I particularly enjoyed the conversations with Adela, who always had a friendly smile on her face.
Cleaning staff stole items from my room, management has done nothing to compensate me. Overall poor management, they only care about profit and money and are totally indifferent about the students once the money has been transferred.
The management is horrific, and while the rooms are nice the location sounds better than it really is in practice and the price is simply too high for the overall package.
Poor maintenance, poor staffing, poor wifi - noisy train tracks next door
poor servicee, poor internet, poor cleanliness (room and kitchen had dirty plates in), poor communications.
The only thing I dislike about Urbanest King's Cross is the 10 min walk to the tube. Granted, it's a beautiful walk with fountains and a canal, it's still a long ass walk. Other than that, Wifi is super fast, management is great, all the common rooms are excellent and wel maintained. Good stuff.
Terrible maintenance. Too far from the tube station. No proper study space (near the reception and too noisy). Problems with basic facilities like hot water
