I’ve enjoyed living here, it’s a bit pricey and a lot of people to one kitchen, but the amenities are good and staff is very helpful.
The location is great. The staff are helpful and friendly.
The snooker cues are broken and the chalk is missing. Please fix it.

This is a good place to make friends, however,Many people are very uncivilized when it comes to hygiene
very happy to live here! Very encourage new student come to here and choose IQ highbury!
It’s alright near to the tube station
Staff is terribly rude and useless some of them don't even know the language idk how they were hired it's so noisy because of the train that I can't sleep and then the next morning I am late because I have no water pressure and the few droplets are boiling hot. Everything is terribly dirty and not STEM degree friendly as everyone here appears to party Monday to Sunday and are super loud woke up one night to a glass being smashed against my door.... This place turned me insane due to the water problems I resumed to washing my hair so poorly it's gonna fall out because I don't wanna risk fainting in the shower not to mention there is no window or fan in the bathroom so it turns quick into a sauna. Also if you plan to work from home think again because staff goes there for "fire alarm checks" 10 times a week and at any hour convenient to them not you and goes without saying unannounced.
I’m currently staying at IQ Highbury and I’ve been having a very pleasant stay. IQ team including David, Junior and Bethany have been very helpful since the start regarding any issues such as moving in or any maintenance issues and has assured that everyone including my stay is going well.
The staff here are the best. Junior, beth, david, and vanessa mainly have been awesome and are always super helpful, making sure everything is alright and making sure the students have fun! Highly recommend staying here.
Amazing place to stay. Very friendly staff.
Junior and Vanessa and David are the best! So kind and always willing to help out.
Junior, David, and Vanessa are all incredible! They are always up to help us out and are here for anything we may need.
I moved to Pure Highbury at the end of November and moved back home at the beginning of jan. I was there for about 45 days. keep in mind I was there right in the middle of the second covid wave. faced some wifi and room heater problems at the beginning with were solved quite quickly. the tube station and a lot of essential stores are very very close by. what needs to be advertised is its proximity to the train station. if you're a light sleeper this place isn't for you, I very quickly got used to it. the staff is super helpful and will go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable. everything is super neat, clean and works well!! the theatre room and gym was closed due to covid so no comments on that and similarly no social events organised. cleaning crew is awesome as well. tho faced some probs w the fire/ smoke alarm going off randomly. also the location isn't the safest is what I've seen and heard. but overall 8.5/10!!
I have been living in IQ Highbury from the past 3-months and as an international student who is travelling to a completely different environment, this IQ accommodation has been quite comfortable and homely. The accommodation is convenient from every sense, the tube station is literally 1 min walk away, with supermarkets and restaurants around, you will find everything you need around. Moreover, the special commendation should go to the staff who is very friendly, sincere and helpful. I would like to extend my appreciation to Junior, who has been always there not just as a staff but as a friend in IQ and sorting out all my queries. I hope that the students find this accommodation suitable for their needs. All the best. P.S.: Always go to the social events of IQ, they are such a blast and a chill place to socialise with your fellow IQers.
Great place to live, ideal location and a great atmosphere
Do not stay here - the staff are absolutely shocking, they’re some of the most rude and ignorant people I’ve ever met. They do not try and help you in any way and do the minimum possible to get paid. Whilst staying here there were several break ins because the staff didn’t ven bother to sit at the front desk, one girl was trapped in her room while they taunted her. The rent is ridiculous, I went through clearing and knew London would be expensive but the rent here is beyond anything any fellow students are paying, if you take time to look you would find somewhere much cheaper. The rooms themselves are nice and large for student halls but that’s the only positive. Many of the beds were wrecked when we arrived and the shower rooms were black with mold. Our flat had a number of issues with theft in the kitchen as well. And whilst on the kitchen, there is absolutely no storage space whatsoever you have one locker and 3 microwave ovens between 13. The one good thing is the tube.
I stayed in Pure Highbury during the last academic year, The accommodation is right next to the tube station and bus stops, so its really good for transport. The staff and management are really friendly and always help when you need it. Whenever I report a maintenance issue the staff are very helpful. Some people are saying the cleaning is bad but that is down to students not cleaning up, I had a lot of people in my kitchen always not cleaning up after cooking. The housekeeping team are always cleaning up and making sure the kitchen are clean for us. The staff organise a lot of fun events and they are always leave food out for us.
DO NOT STAY HERE. When I first moved in my room was absolutely filthy and there were bed bugs and also mites all over my bathroom. My room was fumigated without my consent so when i returned to the room all my things were covered in the white spray my bedding and towels were dumped in the shower cubicle so were all damp. The noise from the train station is unbearable and the heat in the rooms in summer stops you from sleeping. The lifts never work and despite them promising an engineer is on the way no one ever comes. On top of all of this the rent is extortionate, paying over 1000 a month for a box room where the staff are rude (apart from the men who work through the night and the cleaning ladies) is ridiculous. The staff also send out emails all the times with threats which are never actually followed through. Finsbury park is not a nice place to live, since living here i have heard about 10 people being punched and having their phones stolen off of them including one girl living at
First, if you are a light sleeper DO NOT even consider to rent a room in Pure Highbury! It is the most noisy place I ever sleep in! Wherever is your room. The trains and the road are super load 24/7 (even with earplugs...). The temperature in summer is over 30°C in the room!! and it is not possible to open your window more than 10cm gap... There is only two lifts and one of them was not working the whole year! The internet is not great and the washing machine are not washing at all!The management team does not reply to any of your request or lie so if you want to move there, better for you to speak fluently in english and to know your rights. It is usually quite dirty! They never wash the floor of the kitchen which is dark and sticky! and there is serious hygienic problem as when they change the bin in the kitchen (which is not everyday!) they put the top of the bin on the tables or next to the sink where food are! This is unacceptable and disgusting! DO NOT RECOMMEND
The worst place I have ever lived. I have never had a pleasant conversation with staff - they will finish their phone conversation before they even look at you and you will get no information from them other an an "I don't know" or "email us" - which never go answered. Be prepared for your food and cutlery to be stolen, and for the public social spaces to be trashed by uncaring tenants. Train right outside isn't advertised, but it's there and it's loud. You'd think that with a building full of students they'd invest in decent internet, but it will go out suddenly and without warning.
I have been living here for one year and so far my experience is not very satisfying. Firstly, they don't mention that accommodation is located literally next to the station and you can hear trains driving around from early in the morning until very late at night. I DO Wake up at 3 am in the morning because of that. Secondly, management is horrible there is one student girl sitting in the reception every time you have a question the only thing she can say is "I DONT KNOW'. In general staff is quite rude, feels like we live here for free. It is a 5 floor building, 2 lift suppose to operate but one lift has been broken for whole year and the other one takes ages. Finally they have weird policy that if you leave unwashed dishes they just take them away and you will never see them again. There was a case that i had breakfast, was in a hurry and could not wash it straight away then when i come back in the evening they just disappear.
This place could be great however there are some serious issues. Bad points: There are no ovens in the kitchens. The majority of the people that live here are very unfriendly. There is no cold water pressure in the bathrooms. Right next to a really loud main line railway (and you have to try to sleep with your window open as the heating is constantly on). Laundry facilities are a total rip off. This is not the student experience you're after - nobody drinks, socialises or has any fun. Barely any storage space in the kitchens. No free weights in the gym. Stupid kitchen rules - no rice cookers permitted and storing any items outside your tiny cupboard isn't allowed. Good points: Next to Finsbury Park station (literally) Some of the reception staff are lovely and really helpful. It is a very modern and clean place, although pretty depressing and lonely at the same time.
The fact of the matter is, I am currently sat in my pure Highbury room waiting... and waiting for my computer to load a simple web page. On my way in a new advert has appeared outside which reads: '100MB internet connection'. Firstly, this claim is a load of monkey, second, they will charge you a fee to have more than two devices on the Internet for your whole year and last the connection is very weak in all social areas. Enough about the wifi! I paid extra to not have a limited view but it turns out that instead of staring at a wall, I get to see the trains that run on top of it... All for another £10 or so a week and let me tell you they are LOUD Kitchens pretty nice and so are the rooms and ensuites really, but expect faulty things when you go in The social area has a pool table.. Broken. Fusball table... Broken. And the false promise of a ping pong table has all but dwindled away over the last few months. BUT, they do have money to spend on vending machines to make more cash!
