I couldn’t be happier with Highlight Thomas Street. From the staff to the location, this accommodation is one of the best in Dublin. There’s so many amenities here from social and study spaces to a gym and laundry. There’s a rooftop and amazing views in the heart of Dublin, and the accommodation is always kept clean and well managed. This neighborhood used to be quite unsafe years ago but has improved in recent years, and the security and safety never has me worry even in times of trouble. I’m grateful to the wonderful staff here, Melissa, Angela, and Zoie, who make this accommodation feel like home.

What tenancy length do I need?

Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Living at Highlight Thomas Street was great from the beginning (it's my second year so far), but now it's honestly even better. I've lived in several countries and stayed in all kinds of places, and I can confidently say that this is one of the best in Europe. The facilities have always been first class, but what really stands out now is how well things are run. The courier system has improved massively - no more hassle with deliveries, everything is super organised. The seasonal activities are on all the time now and it's clear that they've put even more thought into planning events that actually bring people together. It's not just a place to live - it feels like a real community. The staff here are another big reason why the experience is so good. They're like a second family - friendly, professional and genuinely care about making sure residents are happy (and feel looked after all the time). If you're considering moving in, do it!!!!

Highlight has been a great international student accomodation. It has easy access to the street while still creating a closed off space for residents to socialize and feel comfortable. There are some minor issues such as water heating and plumbing that seem to be consistent through out many of the apartments here but overall it the apartments are very spacious and staff are more than willing to help with any facilities issues.

Overall I've had a good experience at Highlight Thomas Street. The staff at reception have always been incredibly helpful whenever I've needed their help and the location of the building in the city center is ideal for anywhere I need go. The increase in rent has been really disappointing and absurd. I know only last year they replaced the pool cues and the felt on the pool table but both have come apart since and there hasn't been chalk down there for months now. Lastly, more recently one of the security guards has been difficult with me bringing 3 friends over even though none of them were staying over. I was told there was a noise complaint and they had to leave but we were never asked to turn the sound beforehand, what's weirder is that I asked all my roomates if the sound was too loud for them both times and none of them said they heard a thing. Overall, The building is great and the staff at reception have been perfect, it's really only the exorbitant rent that irks me.

Very safe and secure building, friendly staff, very nice bedrooms, and a well equipped kitchen! Perfect type of apartment for a student who is living on their own for the first time. Close to groceries and everyone in the area is friendly!

Highlight rooms offer a great stay! I love having my own full bathroom and plenty of storage in the room. I also appreciate how quiet the apartment can be because of the layout. While there were some maintenance issues in my room, they were fixed the day I brought them up. My only complaints are that I wasn’t exactly sure what I would need to pack for myself. There are also security cameras for the neighboring building outside my window. The kitchen is nice and the appliances all work, but my roommates and I had to buy a few essential items so that we could all cook and eat.

The most lovely accomodation team that are always smiling and saying hello every day, as well as helping with anything I could ever need. They were so helpful in helping during the booking process and have been amazing whilst I have been living there. The night team always make me feel safe and are also lovely. When I first walked into Highlight I was having one of the worst days ever and extremely stressed from my flight and loosing my luggages. When I met Melissa in the front desk she greeted me with the best hospitality and ever since her interaction everyone else I have meet have supported me in anything and informed about all the advantages about living in highlight. Great living space, awesome customer service and quick to fix any issues with the outlets, wifi, etc. Also great security and awesome location. My only complaint is that I wish we were provided with some things like a trash can, more cleaning supplies in the kitchen, a shower with a shelf in it, maybe more than one towel or pillow, etc. But overall I am really pleased!

I say this as someone who is picky about cleanliness, but I have been a bit underwhelmed by the cleaning and maintenance here. I’m definitely satisfied with the location and amenities, but while the facilities are definitely new they do not always feel clean or well-maintained.

I really like living at Highlight Thomas Street! It is very conveniently located near many restaurants and affordable grocery stores. It is also easy to take transportation to school from here. I like the spaces, the only thing I wish is that we had better cleaning options (a better mop/broom, ours are really dirty). Otherwise its great here!

I really enjoy the highlight building. All the staff are anazing and are great to have a conversation with. If you submit a work order, chances are it will be done within a day (depending on when you submitted it). The rooms ard very nice and you have your own private shower and bathroom. The social space is very large and has a pool table and ping pong table. Overall this is an awesome place and would reccomend to other students.

Studying abroad with my school, I'm definitely happy to be living at Highlight. The staff are very kind, and any maintenance issues are resolved within 24 hours. Location in the liberties is great, despite some loud alleyway antics during the late/early hour. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend, as it's clear the staff go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and as safe as possible.

Highlight Student Living is a good place to live. Nestled in the liberties, the surrounding area is vibrant and full of culture you can not find anywhere else in the city. Additionally, you are a half-hour walk to anywhere you could want to go to, and never far from a bus that can take you farther than your legs could walk. The staff are always kind, and whenever a question comes up they always do their best to answer. The same goes for the security and maintenance personnel. The social space is large with lots of things to do, and makes for an excellent place to spend time if you wish to get out of your apartment every once in a while. My room was dirty upon arrival, but it is to my understanding that my University was in charge of hiring cleaners. Had they hired better cleaners, my room would have no issues whatsoever. The wifi is spotty, but not particularly an issue. I would love to see more events thrown by Highlight to get to know everyone else who lives here, too!

As a resident of Highlight Student Accommodation in Dublin for several months now, I can confidently say that it has exceeded all my expectations. Highlight is without a doubt the best student accommodation I have ever stayed in, having experienced numerous ones across Europe and Dublin. One of the first things that stood out about the accommodation was the welcoming, warm atmosphere created by the staff. They were not only professional but also extremely friendly, ready to assist at any time. In fact, they made my stay incredible, going above and beyond for each student, ensuring everything is taken care of and putting in much effort behind the scenes. Any small issue is promptly addressed, and they also organize many cool events all the time. The accommodation itself is nothing short of impressive, with modern rooms equipped with all the essentials, stunning communal spaces, security, and breathtaking views.

I have been living here for three years now and this has to be the best student accommodation in the city! The staff, Zoie, Chris and Melisa are all lovely and make it even more special. Will recommend it anyday to anyone.
One of the best accommodations in Dublin. The staff is very friendly and always happy to help. Prices are as high as in other accommodations but the quality is better. Great gym, social space and rooftops.
Had an excellent time! A great deal of food options, from cafes to pubs, chain groceries to family-run grocers, all right around the building.
It’s a phenomenal location, with a Lidl and bus stop right across the street. You can also easily walk to town & Aungier St, as well as Heuston, St James Hospital, and Phoenix Park. There’s also an airport bus & many other connections for Ussher’s Quay, just 1 block towards the river. If you don’t mind the price, it’s well worth it.
Good place to live, there are activities to do every month and staff is really friendly and helpful.

It was fine until the fire alarm went off at night but that’s not the staff’s fault. I trust that they won’t let it happen again. The social space could use more games like Uno and Blokus.
