Mercury Pointt is a ten-minute walk from Solent University and a forty-minute bus ride from the University of Southampton. Close to the marina and West Quay Shopping Centre where you can shop and dine at one of your favourite restaurant chains. The city centre and Cultural Quarter are also nearby and filled with bars, pubs and clubs to explore.

We do not offer parking onsite at Mercury Point, however if you do choose to book with us you can get in touch with Orion Point for a potential car parking contract at £15 per week.
Alternatively it may be worth getting in touch with your university to see if they can offer a parking space in the city, or Southampto

Great place to live when you just starting Uni in Southampton. The reception is on top of things, reliable and friendly. Especially Peter and Lewis (Suzan was too but unfortunately for us and(hopefully) fortunately for her ze has moved up in her career) are very dependable and kind during the day. But during the night you can also rely on the kind and helpful Ebrim. They made my experience there very pleasant and comfortable and I will miss it due to these amazing people.

I had a surprisingly wonderful stay at Mercury Point as it was quite peaceful and close to the city centre. The staff is wonderful. I especially liked seeing Susan and Kamran at the reception, as they were quite lovely and helpful throughout my time here at Mercury Point, and I'll miss seeing them

I lived at Mercury Point for the first 3 years of Uni and can honestly say it has been amazing. Staff are so helpful, nice and always up for a chat. Big thank you to Lisa and Rachel for helping my flatmates and I throughout first year. My favourite part of Mercury Point is Uncle (Ebrima) who is the night security guard and I honestly can’t thank Uncle enough!! He has been the bestest friend for the 3 years I have been living here, he’s always looking out for myself and everyone else! Nothing is ever too much for him and is always happy to help with anything! He’s been there at times where I needed help getting a wasp out my room, or when I called reception because I was being followed by Dukes Keep and he came out so I was okay. He is always happy and joking with everyone and makes my day everytime he is working. He is a HUGE asset to Mercury Point and will miss seeing him most evenings.

This is my third year in Mercury Point. I live in B block so the experience this year has been mixed honestly. But still one of the greatest place to live in Southampton.

A place that you can happily leave with friendly and helpful staff, especially, Peter and Lewis who were always up to help everyone. Parcels, problems, emails, and questions were all resolved very quickly.

The worst ever accommodation. The whole 2 blocks were water flooded. There was no management, no proper care. We were supposed to get hotel rooms but they broke we have to come all the way back at mid night. Which is very irritating

Even though the wife gets overloaded once a week it's still a good 50/10 majority of the time. There is no common room but the staff usually organise events to socialise.

The staff at very nice and the halls where very social and clean to be in I really enjoyed being in halls through out first year although believe it would be beneficial to have a common room for students to hang out
