Very underrated sheffield accommodation. It is in a very green and peaceful location. My social experience here has been amazing, lovely flatmates and communal feel. There is no lift in C & D block but that's never been an issue. Flat is regularly cleaned well and facilities are in great condition. The blue walls are also nice:)) would 100% recommend!!!!

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

nice building and views and quieter then most other blocks as it is behind hotels
Hello and thank you for taking the time to review Rivelin flats, we really appreciate it. I am glad you like the building. We do have 2 hotels on the Ranmoor/Endcliffe site. Halifax Hall is in a former huge, old house and a popular wedding/events venue. It has a lovely restaurant and is fully licenced. Jonas is a trendy more casual place to stay. You can stay here from 1 night to 6 months and there are laundry facilities and a kitchen area to keep costs down. Guests also get a complimentary hot drink amd pastry every morning during their stay. Best wishes, Sharon
I have absolutely loved living in Rivelin! Short walk from everything in Endcliffe. The block itself is known for being 'quieter' and I personally do not believe this- I think it really depends on your flat as my flatmates are extremely social. It has good social spaces. The only negative thing I have to say is the C/D block does not have a lift, so if you are on the top floor like me then it is a bit difficult!
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! We're glad to hear that you’ve enjoyed living in Rivelin. We’re sorry to hear that a top-floor location without a lift has been a bit challenging. Your feedback is truly valuable and helps us improve the experience for future residents. Kind regards, Chloe
Rivelin has been great to live in, very social but not too loud at night, very close washers and dryers and still close enough to the edge and village shop
Hello and thank you for your review on Rivelin, it's very much appreciated !. It's great to hear you have enjoyed living here and had a great student experience while living with us. Best wishes, Sharon
I love it here, you get great views, there's a good route to classes past the botanical gardens since it's on the end of the village, rather than having to go up the massive hill towards the edge. Bit far to go do your shopping and no lift except in E/F, so getting shopping and stuff up if you're on an upper floor (especially after all the sheffield hills) can be a pain. Plenty storage for us. Some of my flat mates have had problems with mold in their bathrooms that took a while to fix, but I haven't. Generally quieter and more chill than ones closer to the edge, but me and my flatmates at least are still friendly and close. Occasionally Harold the endcliffe cat comes over this side of the village, though he tends to stick closer to Frogatt/Yarncliffe.
Hello and thank you for your review, we really appreciate it. It's great to read that you are happy in your accommodation. It's a great location and only 10 minutes walk from the Broomhill shopping center and a maximum of 30 minutes to the main university campus. Some of our blocks do have lifts so if this is an important factor in your accommodation then just get in touch accommodationoffice@sheffield.ac.uk It's great to see Harold getting a mention. I love seeing his adventures on his Instagram page #harold.theendcliffecat. He gets so spoilt and I dont think his owners have to feed him in term time !. Best wishes, Sharon
It's downhill from the edge and the rest of the campus, the washing up is a longer walk than every other block in Endcliffe. Tend the have the lest social or less-fun people in your block. I definitely would not recommend Rivelin apartments
Thank you for your review! I’m sorry to hear that your experience at Rivelin hasn’t been quite what you’d hoped for. Rivelin is still well located within the Endcliffe community, and The Edge, along with many of our key facilities, aren't far away. If you’re finding the laundry a bit of a walk, please don’t hesitate to pop into our Customer Service team at The Edge - they’d be more than happy to show you the most convenient laundry options. Sometimes a quick chat can help ensure you’re making the most of what’s close by. We also offer a range of Residence Life activities in Ranmoor & Endcliffe to help students connect with others and make the overall experience more sociable. I hope you’ll have a chance to explore these opportunities and find a community that suits you. If there’s ever anything more you’d like to discuss, or any further feedback you’d like to share, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Service team at acs-customerservices@sheffield.ac.uk. good location, on edge of student village so quieter but still very sociable. rivelin e and f block have deluxe rooms with double beds which are great value for money and very large. modern kitchens and comfy sofas
Thank you for your thoughtful review! It's great to hear that you are enjoying your time with us. Best wishes Hollie
Rivelin is a good choice if you want slightly quieter accommodation away from the central part of endcliffe. The rooms are all nice with good window sizes and the kitchen areas are great
Hello and thank you for your review of Rivelin, we really appreciate it. It's great to read that you are happy with Rivelin. It's a great location and close to all the things that the Ranmoor/Encliffe site has to offer including The Hub and The Ridge social spaces, the fitness suite, the village store and The Edge bar !. Best wishes, Sharon
really good accommodation, good kitchen facilities but slightly limited storage in the kitchen Room size is good and lots of storage No lift in my block but not too bad even on the top floor Bathroom is clean and decent size
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we really appreciate it. It's great to hear you are happy with the facilities in the accommodation. Best regards, Hollie
Decent sized rooms, well sized kitchens with good appliances. WiFi can be unreliable at times and not extremely easy to connect certain devices. Good location.
Thank you for your review :) We're glad to hear you are enjoying the spacious kitchen and ammenities. If you are having trouble with your WiFi we would recommend visiting Customer Services at the Edge who can provide you with an ethernet cable. We hope you continue to enjoy your stay! Sophie
I have really enjoyed staying here

Rivelin is one of the apartments in Endcliffe that is more tucked away so it is usually very quiet outside so good for people who are looking for a more peaceful accommodation. There’s so much greenery and nice views from the windows. Close to the Edge bar and study space and a 25 min walk from the SU. It’s close to other amenities like Tesco and Wetherspoons. Bedroom is nice and bathroom too with a big desk and big window.
Thank you so much for the review, it's great to hear you've been enjoying your time in Rivelin! We hope you continue to love it throughout the rest of your time here, especially when the greenery gets even better in spring! :) Kind regards, Oaklyn
Slightly apart from the rest of Endcliffe but still included so you get the benefits of being in Endcliffe but its also a lot quieter. The location itself is really nice, with some flats having a great view of a garden!!! The flats are very spacious with good kitchens and social spaces and the bedrooms are a good size and have large windows which give a lot of light. I might be biased but I believe its the best place to live in Endcliffe.
Hi, and thank you for the great review! It's so great to hear you're enjoying your time in Rivelin and we love hearing your feedback! Best regards, Oaklyn
Very quiet place, peaceful. Not much of a hall community, bit out of the way. Close to spoons
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I’d like to highlight that our Residence Life team organises loads of fun events for students to attend. These vary from craft activities to pizza nights, and many of them are free: Residence Life We’ll continue working on fostering a sense of community for all residents. Kind regards, Chloe
The accommodation is really nice, the kitchens are nice and big. The wifi connection is pretty good. The bathrooms and showers are better than expected. Accommodation is in a good location, it’s on the edge of the student village but it’s nice as it’s too loud.
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, it is much appreciated. It's great to hear that you are enjoying your time in Rivelin Apartments. Best regards, Hollie
Endcliffe as a whole was a lovely place to start university life, with a large community of students that felt safe. Rivelin is a little tucked away, I'd recommend for anyone who prefers a little quiet.
Thank you for your review! I’m so glad to hear that you enjoyed starting your university journey in Endcliffe. It’s great that you found Rivelin to be a nice, quiet spot—it’s definitely ideal for those who like a bit of peace while still being part of the larger community. Loved my time in Rivelin! Endcliffe is a great student village, lots of greenery thats fab in the summer and great social space with the bar etc. Rivelin is slightly on the outside of the village, so often a lot quieter but can easily just go to someone else's flat for pres. 20 min walk to uni and 35 mins to the centre so found to be really good location as well as only 10 mins to parks and ecclesall road. The staff were always really helpful with any problems too. Will miss living here, I've had a great first year at uni!
Quite nice flats but not cheap, hard to bond with others in same block
Brilliant halls, definitely recommend
Really enjoyed living here in first year
great location, unfortunately no lift!
Loved living here, best year of my life! Met some special people living here- friends for life. Loved my little room, was so sad to leave it, cleaner was friendly and maintenance always come if necessary. Highly recommend anyone wanting to stay here, fantastic!!!
