As a student living in meridian court, I am thrilled to say that I live here. My room is an enhanced large room, which is the biggest size, and only costs £6,350 for the academic university year! This is more than £1000-£2000 cheaper than a lot of the accommodations right in the city center. Meridian court has two bus routes (yellow and brown) that lie on either side, so it's very easy to get to Nottingham city center and only takes 10mins or so on the bus. In addition, you get a free NCT bus pass for the year living at meridian court, which would typically cost you £299. Not only are you not far away from the city centre and have 2 bus routes you can take, but you even get a free bus pass living here! Also, there is ample space in the enhanced large room, which I am living in, much more space than in the rooms in the city centre accommodations, which are rather small and a lot more expensive. Each block is shared by 10 students, and the communal kitchen is more than big enough for us

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

What a fabulous review! Thank you for taking time out your busy schedule to leave a review. We are so happy to hear you’re enjoying your stay.
The Location to the City Centre is very close from the residence. The accommodation has a lot of facilities for entertainment and fun activities. The living space is very good with furnished equipment and comfortable space. The kitchen has lot of appliances for cooking services. The Bathrooms are so well cleaned and maintained. The price for the the Buck is very good. I will recommend this facility to anyone available for students.
Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We welcome your comments.
Meridian court is lovely and quiet most of the time, and the staff are lovely, but the kitchens aren’t really a place we can all socialise and my flats just a bit too quiet. overall it’s a lovely space and good value for money, but just the wrong place for me.
Thank you for taking the time to review Meridian Court and for the complimentary comments towards staff and the property.
Merdian Court is a very low-cost accommodation, I think one of the most inexpensive accommodations that NTU gives an option for. The facilities and amenities make the money well spent as you have the options to have a standard to large room for a lot of space and as a Design student the space is beneficial. There are 3 spacious showers and two toilets for 10 people and I have never had a problem with this. The kitchen has a cupboard for each occupant and 1 fridge and freezer. Overall the amenities are worth it. You get 24 hour staff and security, parking space and free bus pass to travel which is helpful as the accommodation is a 40 minute walk from the University. Sometimes the distance can be a pain as you have to walk uphill for the bus. there is a common room that has regular events and sometimes gives out free food.
I stayed at Meridian my first year. The location isn’t the best but I had no issue with that as I was given a free bus pass for the academic year. The staff wasn’t the best with dealing with issues, but I’m guessing they are limited with what they can do. Flatmates are always hit or miss.
24 hour management service, can call them for help if it gets too noisy at night. Besides noise from flatmates, generally quiet and good environment
rooms and bathrooms make you feel like you're in prison and the kitchens are bad in some blocks and better in others, cleaners are nice other than that its not a nice accommodation to live in... it is the cheapest though
Absolutely belta, up the janet
Meridian was not a great hall in terms of actual accommodation. The rooms themselves are quite depressing and it was very prison cell like. My window literally faced trees so I got no sunlight whatsoever which wasn’t good for my mental health. The staff were lovely and it’s amazing for being social. The distance is a bit long!
Upon leaving got charged for damages that weren’t my fault or didn’t happen at all, when asked for proof they shrugged it off.
Being outside the city centre for the first year allow's more cultural experience's, you see more than the average student. Free bus pass. Get used to sharing a bathroom with the same people for the next 3/4 years. And you get a Large/XL room for cheaper.
The place is real cheap with decent location and great to meet people. They give you a free bus pass and although it isn't the nicest looking the kitchens are well equipped and the staff is very nice. The large rooms are definitely worth the price. Be ready to adapt and don't have very high expectations. If you can manage that, then you will have a great time here.
I knew Meridian Court wasn't gonna be the nicest ever (I was late applying and wasn't left with many options) but I will say its worse than I anticipated and worse than the pictures. As I say I wasn't expecting The Ritz but the breeze block walls and minimal, dingy design of everything is just so horrible and depressing. There's also a slight smell of piss when you first ever enter your flat that for some reason you can't ever smell again (everyone backs me up on this) which means its probably always there and you get used to it. The shared bathroom is one of the most problematic aspects. Mainly because they're just so horrible, I don't even care that much about the shared element. The showers are like ones in a minky run-down public swimming pool. You kind of can't tell whether they're clean or not. Sometimes, an inconsiderate flatmate may decide to go for a s*** when you're in the shower as little as 2 feet away from you. Socially its good and you make lots of friends, that's it.
It's alright. It depends on what you want. The surrounding area is nice enough, and there's two supermarkets - Aldi and Sainsburys - as well as a Tesco Express a little further away. If you go further past the Sainsburys and turn left, there's a McDonalds. You can get back from uni on the 15, 16, 17, 68, 69 and 71 buses. You also get a free bus pass. But you do have to wake up at 7.30 for a 9am lecture. The small rooms are small. The large rooms are a good size. All are poorly lit unless you face the sun. The rooms are breezeblock walls and don't block sound well. And your flat might be 10 people, with 1 fridge and 1 freezer. I liked the surrounding area. 10 people was stressful. My room doesn't have good lighting and it's a bit depressing. The reception staff are nice, wifi is okay, no common rooms in flats, and no snack machine, only a drinks vending machine. I did start calling it Apocalypse Bunker D0. Having a large room was my only saving grace. But it was £100 a week. Cheap.
You get what yoy pay for, its easily manageable to live here, free bus travel very beneficial and
Despite being the cheapest halls at trent it isn't worth the money. The location is terrible, free bus pass is given however you aren't told that the bus stop is at least a ten minute walk away. The shared bathrooms are of the same standard of those you would expect to see on a campsite. The rooms are furnished terribly with minimal storage places. Lastly the residents were largely rude and disrespectful especially when coming home from nights out. I didn't even last a term here.
Location is bad. 2 fridge freezers between 10 people isn't enough. Internet is terrible. Rooms couldn't be furnished more poorly.
Terrible! If you're a fresher do not go there. I cought Lyme disease, too many trees and green and it's in the middle of no where. There's this one woman that is terrible and you will struggle to get to university or any social events. Don't do it to yourself
Very social, fun and happy place to be in. Bedroom is decent sized but very uncomfortable beds. Great value for money although the security is not that great. Overall, great location for safety but is so much effort getting the bus to university.
Starred off as a decent place to stay, then got sick of the distance and despite hoe great my flatmates are they can be disgusting.
Possibly the worst halls. Run down. Rubbish location. One horrible 'lady', you will know who I mean!
Bathrooms need updating. Constantly smell of damp.
Deffo isn't worth the money even if it's the cheapest one its not modern it's shared bathroom can't deal with it
