A great choice for first year accommodation I loved staying here so much that I’ve decided to stay for another year. So conveniently located, welcoming staff, free events and gifts and a modern building. The rooms itself are a good size, some rooms sized larger than others so you are lucky if you get one of the big rooms. Staff and security are always there to help and deal with any problems with care. Studios are on the smaller size and very expensive so be wary of that. Only issue would be noise but that’s expected at almost every accommodation but there is security that deal with noise complaints if it becomes an issue. I’ve heard it’s condition is a lot better than other accommodations. Possibly not a party accommodation compared to the others but this one guarantees safety and comfort but still a fair share of social events and fun.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
Overcrowding and Noise: In many student accommodations, there’s little privacy and walls can be thin. This leads to constant noise from roommates, parties, or even general traffic outside, making it hard to focus or relax. Maintenance Issues: Sometimes, city accommodations are older buildings, meaning broken appliances, plumbing issues, mold, or outdated heating systems. Slow response times from maintenance teams can add to the frustration. Small, Cramped Spaces: City accommodations often prioritize packing in as many people as possible, resulting in small rooms and shared facilities. You might feel like there’s no personal space.
Staff were lovely. Communal places were always clean and the lifts were always working. On the more expensive side in Leeds but money well spent.
Really nice rooms and all around good spacing
Very good accommodation in a great location. Great facilities.

Amazing service, excellent staff, great location, friendly team.
Absolutely amazing staff. Repairs are always made promptly. The rooms are spacious with lots of storage. Abudance of social evenst and freebies. Good security. The building is always cleaned, especially after friday and saturday nights.
I have enjoyed my first months at the acomodation I wish to stay here next year with the people I have met
Honestly can't recommend this place enough, it's a really great location and value for your money
Good location and really nice and helpful staff. Everything is modern and new, loads of free events put on throughout the year including food + drink. Always lots of freebies and goodies, great place to live.
Very good accommodation, very clean and friendly staff
We love it here it’s so close to the university, no need to get up early in the morning. Lovely staff which help you with query’s and on deck 24/7
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. There is always someone at the reception to help out in case you forget your keys, which has been a lifesaver on many occasions after a night out. The location is great as is it a minutes walk to The University of Leeds Campus, shares the block with Leeds Beckett too and is a 5 minute walk from any shopping centre you’d need for grocery runs.
Really good location for nights out and walking to uni and the gym. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful however the security are way too strict and will just walk into your flat unannounced if there is the slightest bit of noise after 11 even if you are just talking.
Very good halls, maintenance is very good and carried out quickly. Expensive though...
Nice bedrooms , clean halls with really helpful flatmates in the hall!
Not enough drawers/cupboards for 6 flatmates. For price we're paying, maybe a bin emptying service could be included and a TV licence. Also, the recycling facilities are poor - no recycling bin in the kitchen (only a large one in the basement), therefore, unfortunately, waste is rarely separated out.
Great all round experience, Debbie has been helpful and professional in reception
Best accomadation. Useful with a tesco nearby
Nice halls, clean, friendly and social
Great place! Nice reception staff!
Good accommodation in a great location but security/wardens need to be less strict. We are first year uni students so it’s obvious that we will be playing music and going out a lot. This is the most strict accommodation regarding noise of all the others I’ve been to.
Modern accommodation with friendly staff and an on-site gym. Has all the necessary facilities required for convenience whilst studying at university.
Construction outside is really loud.
the place is clean and tidy, good management team, generally a comfortable place to live
It's near university and town, new and clean!
Always friendly staff and really nice halls
The staff are very friendly and the place is warm and well kempt
CitySide is a really modern hall. I’m really happy about the location and value for money. Laundry app does not include view option, so I have to go and check if there are any available machines multiple times. If I’m not wrong, when I got offered a place in this hall, the website said that a cleaning person will take out out trash and clean the kitchen during the weekdays. However this never happened, so I’m a bit disappointed about this. Everything else is perfect.
It's a very comfortable place to live. It's not as social as some of the other residences but that's just the nature of the building. However the facilities and staff are exceptional.
Everything is good, only the internet sometimes doesn't work well.
I love living at CitySide, the location is amazing
I am really happy with the location and the quality of the rooms and kitchen
Perfect location would definitely recommend
Really nice accommodation, great facilities and the best location by far!
The welcome was very warm, day to day management is very good. They make everything very streamline. Communications are very direct and you know what exactly is going on.
the best student accommodation in Leeds. the service is really good and the rooms are in high-standard only the prices go up every year.
Really good location, always the first sold out:)
The staff are very friendly, there is always a range of activities available which accommodates everyone. Great location and place to live
Everything is good, only thing is it's quite expensive.
I love Cityside. I have not had any issues. Great location and exceptional staff.
Fantastic accommodation, probably the best hals
Cityside is really a nice place to stay for students. It is very close to both the city centre and the University of Leeds. A Tesco express is just next to the building, it is quite convenient for students! Strongly recommended!
Stayed here over summer, the kitchen was spacious and the room was good, comfy bed, just really hot and no fans available at reception.
Really nice rooms - great size and top quality finishes
Great uni accommodation. WiFi is a little tricky to set up but works fine when it is. Really helpful staff and the rooms are nice
Great staff! Great rooms! Excellent Location! Cannot recommend enough!!
Lovely place to stay and very nice social area
it is a very comfortable accommodation
Nice flats situated very close to the city centre. The staff are helpful and interiors modern but for the price asked I expected a bit more in terms of amenities.
Honestly one of the best experiences of my life, perfect staff, perfect maintenance and amazing vibes. Anytime I would need anything it’d be very easy to acquire it whether the sink was loose or the safe out of battery & I know my friend would say the same. HANDS DOWN WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE
