I've really enjoyed living here so far and the facilities are great, I will be re-booking to stay here next year and I can't wait to see the site fully finished.

Leeds Arts University
University of Leeds
Leeds Beckett University
During my time there, it wasn’t a Leeds Arts University Accommodation. I could tell they were still finding their feet in terms of construction. The classic rooms are incredibly small and borderline unliveable so the premium and deluxe rooms are your best bet. The manager at the time denied that the mould in my friends room was being caused by his cracked window, and he was getting moved in and out of his room every 2 month or so because the problem was not getting fixed properly. But their new management is lovely. I have to admit their social spaces are lovely and I can tell they have improved miles from when I was staying.
Very nice place, a bit pricey (for me.. but I understand where the price comes from) and far from everything but a good bus connection to the city centre which takes about 8min from the accommodation. It is quite small but it’s definitely enough, everyone is very lovely which makes the experience 1000x better. I really love it here, just wish it had a little bit more space, but all is well and improving all the time.

Bad location, although the site itself will probably be quite nice when it's no longer a massive construction site. Rooms are pretty small, even the premium ones, and cold (the radiators are password locked...). No on-site security at all anymore. Which wouldn't be a problem if the fire alarm didn't go off for hours at a time for no reason at all. There used to be on-site security until it was decided it was too expensive. There's only 2 washing machines for all the tenants and half of the time they don't work. Everything is built the cheapest way possible, but they charge premium prices. Make it your last option.
Almost everyone I know who lives here isn't really happy with their situation, but I have come to accept that I will be living here for one year. I would not have chosen this place if I had not missed the deadline to apply for university accommodation (St Marks is really the best, IMO - en suite, closeby and clean!). This place is 25 mins walk from uni, so not really near enough to come back in between classes or for lunch. It can get a bit lonely at night but thankfully it's relatively well lit and not known for being a shady area. Management is fine enough, but you won't necessarily feel like this is home. They opened up the common recently and it's a really nice place -- you will need it because the fire alarms go off quite regularly for no reason...and there's no on-site security to fix things after office hours so good luck dealing with the alarm for a good 45 mins before it's switched off. I think this place should be renamed "The Fire Alarm".
I wish I could give this place zero stars honestly. I will not advise any international students to ever come to this place. If you have never experienced winter, then if you choose here, hell will certainly freeze over. They have capped the heating, so the rooms generally remain cold. You will also feel the chill coming in through the windows even if they are closed; and complain as you might, you will be greeted with a very insulting email saying that, "you need to adapt to the British weather, so wear more clothes". As an international student, this will not be a home away from home. This will not be a room convenient to study. Let's not talk about the size of the rooms. Do not let the website or any photos online fool you. Not even a ballerina can spin in here. You will be experience claustrophobia in a moments notice. Everything looks nice, shiny and newly refurbished but everything is also built with the poorest of materials, so forget your deposit at the end.
