Q&A
Hello there,
We do have flats with more than one Gold room. Please speak to the University through which you are booking for more information and assistance.
Kind Regards.
Hello there and thank you for your query.
There is a paid car park 2-minutes away from Arena Village called CitiPark Merrion Centre & First Direct Arena. Fees may apply.
Kind Regards.
Hello and thank you for your query.
Room types are based on height and size. What is considered a silver in lower parts of the building is considered a Gold B on higher floors. What is considered a platinum on lower floors is considered a diamond on higher floors. I wouldnt reccommend a specfic room because that would come down to the students preferences, needs and budget. All rooms are ensuite and all rooms have a full sized wardrobe, shelving and underbed storage. Hope this answers your question. Yes, the lifts are always operational.
Kind Regards.
Hello there. Thank you so much for your query.
All rooms have locks from inside the room and from outside the room. Each flat has a lock. Anyone accessing the building would need to pass through the main entrance door, the lift lobby entrance door, the main flat door and then into the bedroom. Our key system is fully trackable - any scans made on a key are recorded and we can see who is coming and going. We have 2 team members on site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with a dedicated security line for students who need it. Hope this helps.
Kind Regards.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Stay away the place looks like a refugee camp - dirty, smelly, old, bed is very uncomfortable and they charge more than many better places in Leeds. Just dont do it to yourself as really really bad (I booked the accommodation for the all year and left after one day)
Hi. Thank you for your review. We regret to hear that you have not had the best possible experience whilst staying at our Arena village. We would like to hear more about your experience and so would politely ask that you send your feedback to our contact team at contact@campuslivingvillages.co.uk so that we can look into this further for you. Thanks.
It’s a waste of money! The gyms shut because of Coronavirus even though gyms are open everywhere else! We get no money back for things we have paid for (gyms, social spaces, cleaner every 2 weeks) Facilities are ridiculous, nothing works or is vile. Amy shower floods and they do nothing about it. Radiator in kitchen doesn’t work but when I asked maintenance they said it’s fine. Plug socket blew up on me when I tried To plug something in. Despite them being so bother about coronavirus I’ve never once seen a member of staff clean or disinfect ANYTHING. Security are rude the only nice people are the reception people on the day. We are literally being robbed blind. The rooms are constantly freezing and also while away for Christmas Maintenance came in like always but this time left ALL my flats rooms unlocked!!!! The place is a joke really only good thing is the location. Finally when I moved on the room was absolutely filthy!
Great halls, great staff and right in the city center
it's very good to stay near the uni
Constant noise. Maintenance in all your room, communal areas and outside 24/7. It’s been hell. I do not recommend staying here for university as construction work begins from 7 every morning throughout your studies. 3 skyscrapers being built across the next 2/3 years right on the doorstep of Arena Village. Complained hundreds of times, including almost 99% of the current students have. Yet the management apologise, and do not act. In addition, the Facilities inside are also horrendous. Botched jobs on broken/semi broken household kitchen appliances. Tiny shower, where you can brush your teeth, sit on the toilet and shower at the same time. However, the worst thing about Arena Village is the fact, I’m paying £160 and my WiFi does not even load throughout the day. I have spent a fortune on 4G upgrades to cope with my studies to ensure I do not fall behind at university. The internet does not load during peak hours. I highly do not recommend to stay here. 1 star treatment.
Great place to live. Location is second to none
I've now lived at Arena Village for 2 years and it's the best! Right next to town and all the nights out plus nandos and great restaurants. My flatemates were awesome and are my best friends now some are on my course so we can go to the library together - also really near! The staff are really helpful and friendly, they always give out free stuff and knew my name after the first week. Gym on site and another one next door which is a bonus. Would highly recommend.
Right in town next to Morrisons 15 minute walk to train station and to uni so location was perfect. 25 students on each floor so loads of people very close to you
Main thing about this was its location, easy to go to and from uni and town, didn't have to get taxis anywhere unless going canal mills
I was put into clv when I didn't get my first choice for halls (central village). When reading the reviews of where I was going to be living for the next year my heart literally sank at how negative they were and honesty thought it was going to ruin my uni experience. However there are some good points about clv 1) location is literally a 10/10. Right near the city centre, which was ideal for nights out, also really near uni 2) free access to gym upstairs (it's tiny so don't expect much) 3) basically right next to morrisons and the merrion centre where you can literally get all your essentials 4) kitchen and flat size is relatively bigger in comparison to others in different halls But however. Clv does have some bad points 1) wifi is utter s***. Sometimes you wouldn't get it for over and hour 2) I can only speak for myself, but my flat was in an utter state when I arrived eg- hadn't cleaned in kitchen, randomers clothes in wardrobes, Hoover was broken
Not a good experience, the mouldy kitchen and rooms and lack of security ruined my first year experience at uni
decent place to live. good location and good social side. WiFi is awful though and it's a bit dated
Amazing location, popular with international students, terrible wifi
Really surprised with how good clv is! Wouldn't want to be anywhere else!
An accommodation which is in an amazing location - just 10 mins walk from the shops and a 15 min walk to Leeds uni. The perfect location! Also at £110 (2014/15 prices) it is well worth the value for money as it includes an en suite and a gym upstairs!
Great facilities, even better location that is 2 minutes walk from the centre of the city (great after nights out). However, because there are a mixture of Leeds met and uni students, the social side isn't great. It feels more like a hotel than halls which also makes it seem less sociable. I still had a great time though, made my best friends in my flat, and went to flat parties in friends halls.
Look for the 2 star review on Google. Really not worth staying at CLV Leeds if it can be avoided. Size wise, it's okay. Cleanliness wise, its poor (only due to other disgusting students in the building). Socially, it is horrific. It was literally impossible to be friends with my flatmates, and I know a lot of other tenants who hated their stay 2014-2015. See the Google reviews for more description.
For what you get these halls aren't the worst. What is absolutely disgusting is the management and staff. For one, the allocation of rooms is completely poorly thought out. I am aware of some people that have been the only person of one nationality living in a flat in which the others are of the same nationality leaving them feeling completely excluded. Also the quality of maintenence is extremely poor. When I arrived at my room, it was in a disgusting state : mosquitoes covering the walls, black mould in the bathroom etc. Also I had an issue with my sink in that when ever the tap was turned on it essentially brought up sewage. This took three weeks to be fixed. When we had an issue with our kitchen sink the maintenence man flooded our entire kitchen, leaving the carpet damp and foul smelling. When we had inspections they failed us for things such as a leaky fridge and dared to charge us £30 for a cleaner. They are only interested in your money, which as a student isn't plentiful.
