I can’t believe how great the life will be when living in Marketgait, and how sorry I gonna leave it for my personal reasons. Stuart, Rosalie, and other staffs (sry I don’t know your names!) are really lovely whenever I need them. They are very happy to talk to you, and provide any help they can do. When I booked my room, Stuart was very patient to answer all my questions, and help me on time to avoid my homeless. For deliveries, I never have issues, they even help me deliver my parcel to my room before I move in. For the location, a very good gym is 2 mins walking—I’m starting to miss it! Overall, it’s a really great flat and I enjoy the environment very much.

It was pleasure to stay here and it quickly became my second home. From the moment I moved in, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The apartment is well-maintained, and equipped. The common areas are inviting and provide great spaces for both socializing and studying. The location is also fantastic, offering easy access to campus, local shops, and public transportation. The management team is very supportive and always ready to assist with any concerns. I highly recommend it to any student looking for a place that truly feels like home.

I have had an excellent experience living in Marketgait Apartments. The accommodation is clean and modern, making for a perfect live/study space. Stuart is an exceptional property manager and he has always gone above and beyond to make my stay here as comfortable as possible. I couldn’t recommend Marketgait Apartments more to any prospective students seeking accommodation in Dundee. I have had a lovely home for the past three years and I am very grateful to Stuart, Kevin and Rosalie.

Marketgait has been a lovely accommodation to stay in. The rooms are nice and clean, with the building being super central - right by Overgate shopping centre, both universities, Aura, Clarks bar, Lidl and Tesco. The staff in Marketgait are so friendly, with Stuart, the property manager, going above and beyond with any questions I've had. There has been clear communication with any social events organised by the property, which were run fairly often. I booked here for 3 years and I'm so glad I did!

I previously resided at The Fitzalan in Cardiff. Opting for Marketgait for my next degree due to its affiliation with the same company as The Fitzalan, I was taken aback by my experience at Marketgait. The accommodation is notably expensive and falls short in terms of cleanliness. Furthermore, the room is small and lacks adequate lighting. Additionally, some parcels are missing. The manager's behavior towards me has been disappointing, and there are instances where he is unavailable when I require assistance.

I'm dissappointed to hear this and wondered if you could contact me to advise what parcels have gone missing as i'm unaware of this? we have a secure system with the app that we send a code when we receive a parcel for you, unfortunately we can't be held responsible for drivers who leave parcels elsewhere. I'm also dissappointed to hear that you think i'm unavailable, i am occassionally away from the premises for meetings but will always respond to an email in a timely manner. Sorry to hear your stay with us hasn't been what you expected.

Internet/Wifi: I am able to have access to the Internet most times. However, it is quite unreliable since most times at night or during the day the connection will drop out. Cleaning: The bins that are being used by the residents of Marketgait often get filled, quickly. Meaning that sometimes there is rubbish outside of the area can make the place look untidy. Value for money: I feel that marketgait would be better value if there was a change of the colour scheme. The rooms especially the Classic ensuites looks different to the picture. It is a lot darker in person making the room less appealing. Especially, since there is not that many light fixtures in the room.

Hi, thanks for your review! i will definitley look at the points you've highlighted to see what we can do to change this. We are hopefully looking at a repaint next summer and will definitely look at a different colour scheme. With regards to the wifi, i would recommend contacting glide (our supplier) if there issues with outages, please let me know if there's anything i can assist with in communicating with them. Other than that, i hope you're enjoying your stay and it's a pleasure having you stay with us.

A great accommodation for people who don’t want to stay within university accommodation. A great cosy little place with brilliant support from Stuart and a nice maintenance worker Kevin. The accommodation is near Lidl’s, Tesco and Overgate shopping centre so amenities are nearby. The accommodation feels very secure with the keycard system and any worries are promptly dealt with by the staff. Good craic as well.

Stayed there for a year, quiet mature accommodation and a really great building manager. They sorted any issues immediately and were always welcoming. Would recommend even though its a bit expensive.

After staying for three years it has always been a great time. The management has always been fast to respond to issues and the spaces throughout the accommodation block have always been up to a nice, clean standard.

Marketgait is an outstanding student accommodation! The manager Stuart is amazing as is the maintanence man Kevin. The flats are lovely and the common room is great for meeting people and just in general a great touch. Such a convenient location too in the city centre, and literally a 10 minute walk max to Dundee University. I would highly recommend Marketgait to anyone looking for accommodation in Dundee, so delighted that I've spent first year there and looking forward to being back for 2nd year.

The experience has been nothing short of spectacular and the assistance from the property manager has been amazing and helpful. They are informative, the distance between school and the city centre is close and the facilities are all top notch. Additionally, the wifi is just literally amazing and I could not ask for a better speed.

Surprised this has a lot of reviews its definitely fake and looks like its bulk bought cause its so similar. here's my experience after a dreadful year at Marketgait, first day of moving in the door handle came out in my hand and I phoned them to help they said no ones here wait in tomorrow and i stayed locked in. 2nd week moving in I hear cries from the elevator, a girl stuck in and the manager said don't call firefighters to let her out because we'll pay for breaking elevator, i still phoned them and let them help her, there was breaking in by a thief and they reported a lot of damage and stolen stuff and the thief kept coming back for weeks after till i caught him and have a video of police thanking me for it when managers were annoyed. wasteee of money

Its really dissappointing to get a review such as this but i can undertsand your frustrations if you have had a bad experience previously. I can assure you that the most recent reviews on here are in no way fake or bought but reflect the general impression our students have had since i took over the building.

Stuart and Alan have been very helpful and welcoming. I am continuing to enjoy my stay here and I am very grateful to for all their support. Both make a great effort to make the space feel homely and put on events to look forward to every month. There is a lovely sense of community at Marketgait Apartments and I would recommend it as a perfect place to stay whilst studying.

Very beautiful and amazing living experience! It's located in the heart of the Dundee city, very convenient for transport, supermarkets and takeaways. The room is well-designed and big enough for one person ( I live in a single studio), the kitchen area and bed area are separate, which is so essential for me to avoid oil and smoke! There is also enough storage space for long-term living, which is also good for us students I think. More importantly!!! Manager Stuart is soooo friendly and nice! Before I checked in, my appointments for online room tour and question emails were answered promptly. After living here, I could also communicate with him and get help and repairment in time. BTW, I was impressed and touched by his effort to remember everyone's names who lived in the building. In all, good room, good location, very kind manager, lovely living experience.

I have lived at Marketgait for 3 years now. The first couple of years were awful. The management was terrible and things were never sorted. My 3rd year has been an absolute dream. The new manager, Stuart, takes so much time and care to make sure that everyone living at Marketgait is receiving the best possible care. The detail to the care of the building has dramatically improved and if I ever have any issues, they are sorted right away! I would recommend Marketgait to everyone!

Great accommodation for students! Rooms are definitely luxury for students and although its slightly pricey, it is definitely worth the money. Situated in a great location in the heart of the city close to almost everything. Staff are very friendly and helpful and really go out their way to make sure the students are comfortable.

This place is really not what it seems. They have removed google reviews because they were starting to get bad (accurate) reviews. Please don’t move here if you don’t like a lot of street noise. The room wasn’t clean when I moved in, a photo of the previous tenant was on the floor along with dust and hair. The management were nice at the beginning but start to become dismissive and unresponsive if they can’t actually help, they won’t follow up or try anything different. I can’t tell you how much smaller the rooms actually are, I got a shock when I walked in. It is not worth the money. At all. Find somewhere else unless you can afford the nicest rooms (£200 a week) they are the only ones that actually look different, anything less is just the same room but increasingly more claustrophobic. I don’t want anyone else to get stuck there like I was, I wish they hadn’t removed google reviews. If you don’t care about paying an extortionate amount for less comfort, do it but otherwise don’t!!

The WiFi is okay - have to pay a fee and add ons though. The location is central, so close to everything but noisy! If that bothers you look for somewhere else. Cleaning - the rooms aren’t properly cleaned before you in, and the bins outside are always a mess and not organised well or accessible. Management - not good, can barely ever find anyone or get responses to emails. They are friendly but don’t do their jobs it’s all very mis leading. Value for money - No!! You’re paying way too much, I’d go back if I could, it is nice enough if you can forgive a lot. It is still to expensive for the service you get.
