Absolutely love the place, it's out of the way of everything but still right in the middle of a huge social life, I've made friends easily and it's impossible to miss any uni when you live a 2 minute walk away. The rooms are a nice size and you get your own bathroom.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Its fine, quite expensive compared to other options in Dundee, but it's right next to Abertay which is really convenient, its clean and the WiFi is pretty good not quite the speed they advertised on their website (I'm only getting like half of what they advertised). There are just lots of really annoying problems I've had whilst here so far the rooms are really hot with no way to cool them down besides opening a window but my window is right next to a road so I'm trading the issue of near unbearable heat for near unbearable noise. The panel in front of the boiler in my bathroom fell off the wall and onto my arm which really hurt but at least it was put back up quickly after that. Furthermore, another major issue is that to my knowledge at least there is no safe place for delivery companies to leave packages outside of a really small and shared post box which has led miss several packages having to go collect them myself which is really inconvenient(also royal mail just could not enter)
Thankyou for your feedback, We are sorry to here the WIFI speed has not been great we encourage all of our students to contact the WIFI providor if you are experiencing any issues. With regards to your room being to warm we would encourage you to turn your radiator down, Some students find using fans helpfull. As mentioned within the welcome guide that was issued to each student before check in it does say that all students should arrange delivery of parcels when they will be in to receive them or have them delivered to a safe space such as the post office or local shop. For students safety the building is secured by key entry this is important to keep students and the building safe to prevent none residents walking in freely. We hope we can reach a resolution to any issues quickly so that you can enjoy the rest of your stay with us.

Thankyou for your feedback it really helps us to keep creating the best accommodation experience that we can for our tenants.
The staff are really good especially Sharon she's very helpful and a great informant when it comes to problems in the building
Thankyou very much for your review! Your comments help us continue to improve our services!
Accommodation was very poor upon arrival with doors being painted shut, a plant growing out of the kitchen floor on the second story, and many features not being installed, such as blinds, for weeks upon living here and no hot water in bedroom sinks for 9 months. Location is great for Abertay students and very central for nights out and activities during the day. There is no common area for the building meaning there are less social opportunities to get to know others in the building. I would personally say it is not worth the money due to the many issues faced while living here. Other than being close to the university it has no outstanding factors and I would consider this accommodation to be satisfactory at best but definitely not worth the rent being charged.
Thankyou for your feeback, I am sorry to read about the issues you encounted. The refurbishment that took place across the site did run into some snags that were unfortunatly incomplete by the time it was time for check ins. The remedial works did continue to attempt to finalise all the work. We are sorry that you were affected by this. Before check in students were informed of the student Hub where you should log any maintainance request and should you of been having an issue with your hotwater we would activley encourage students to make the team aware so that we could get this resolved. Meadowside has not had a common area for students this year but all of Meadowsides students have been invited to use the grounds of their sister site at Lyon Street where numerous social events have taken place that all meadowside students get invited to as both sites have the same management team. Again any issues within the flats we would encourage students to report this to us so that we can get it resolved. We hope to take this past year as a learning curve so that we can continue to work to improve the site for future students.
Close to university it a reasonably well space rooms.
Thankyou for your feedback!
Meadowside is not worth the crazy £720 rent charge. Security is very poor with the main door gate not even shutting properly. Far too noisy with no sound proofing in the building(can hear a pin drop) also with the street its located on being surprisingly busy throughout the day and night. Social wise there is nothing going on everyone just keeps to themselves and there is no communal area for students to go. On top of all this if you would like to move out you cant and are stuck there until you get someone to take over your tenancy (which is hard due to the high rent). The only plus side I can think of is its location. I'd recommend against going here as the experience at Meadowside has been very poor.
We are sorry to read you havent had the best experience at Meadowside. We have been working hard to rectify all issues raised to us. Your feedback helps us to continue to improve. Unfortunatly we cannot help how busy the road is surrounding Meadowside and always encourage students to come and see the rooms and the site so that they know what to expect before booking. The front door was not shutting properly because student were actively propping the door open the staff did address this on numerous occasions highlighting its for the safety our our tenants to close the gate and door behind them. Although there has not been a common room this year each kitchen is designed to be a social space and was provided with enough stools for every tenant within the flat. The kitchens have Televisions and large counter spaces to encourage social cooking and eating within the flats. We hate to think of anyone ( stuck there) as with any contract there is a claus for cancelling every student receives 14 days to cool off once they have signed their agreement after that we use a relet process where we need to search for a replacement tenant to take over the room we work with every student and asist in looking for a replacment right the way through the process and once another tenant is found the original tenant is then released from their obligations with us. We hope to use your feedback for our future tenants to help us continue to improve.
The place is perfect if you wanna have your own personal space. However, it doesn't have any other amenties like other student accommodation but it holds up on its own. It's in the city centre and about 15 minutes away from UoD and is just next to Abertay Uni. Place is kinda grim but you start getting used to it with time. Kitchens are much bigger, room are not that big. You've got everything for an ensuite room, just not sunlight if you're on the wellgate parking side. Cheers.
Thankyou for taking the time to leave a review, I appreciate your feedback if you do have any suggestions on how we can make the accomodation feel (LESS GRIM) please do feel free to contact me directly.
So many issues with maintenance including flooding of some of the flats and issues with security I feel the flats are so expensive for what you actually get. The washing machines and tumble driers there are only 2 of each for the whole building and generally no matter how many times you dry your clothes they come out smelling damp. Maintenance frequently need to come into your room to check fire alarms etc which gets annoying and if you don’t keep communal areas clean even if it’s not your mess the whole flat gets a charge put on their monthly bill. This is the same with bins if you don’t put the bags in the bins even if they are full you will be charged and this is for every flat even if it’s just one person who done it. Would highly not recommend this property to anybody.
Thankyou for taking the time to leave a review, I am sorry you feel that way, I have taken your comments on board so that we can look into them. We always encourage students to report any maintainance issues so that they can be addressed quickly this also includeds within the laundry room as it is a seperate company who service these. We try to refrain from entering a students room unless it is for a maintainance request that the student has logged therefore we consider this as the student has requested us attend. All routine maintainance and safety checks are done periodically and students are told in advance about this especially if we do require access to the rooms but some of these checks are only within the communal kitchen. All students are encouraged and expected to work together to help keep the shared kitchen within a good standard, if the shared kitchen has failed to meet some basic hygiene checks such as work surfaces covered in stale food and dirty dishes for days on end along with over flowing bins and spillages. The whole flat are contacted and asked to address this within a certain time frame if this does not happen students are then advised that if it is not done by themselves we will have no choice but to have a cleaning operative attend to make the space sanitary and this could result in a cost to the students. Students are given plenty of time and opportunity to address the mess themselves. Unfortunatly this is the first I have herd of you being charged for not using the correct bins and can confirm this is not the case. Again as a tenant it is each persons resposibility to ensure you are using the correct bins and putting rubbish into the industrial bins which are more than big enough to accomodate a large building, this is asked to reduce the risk of vermin for all students safety this is the same with any landlords acorss properties.
Costs far too much for what it is. Internet is unreliable. Packages never get delivered. Needs some type of sound proofing you can hear everything
Thankyou for taking the time to leave a review, we are sorry you feel this way. We encourage all students to report any issues so that they can be addressed each student has an account for the Wifi where you can report any technical difficulties, Across all sites we reccomend students put their exact flat number on there deliveries and leave instructions for the delivery company along with ensuring they will be in on the day of delivery to prevent any problems occuring.
Amazing with helpful staff and good people around, located in the city centre with plenty do to and see. Amazing
Thankyou very much for your comments and kind review!
