Lakeside is part of Warwick's campus accommodation and I feel like it is one of those options that is not talked about enough. I honestly loved staying in lakeside in my first year, it is located in a really nice area by the lake and there is lots of nature and wildlife, which I personally really liked. Being able to walk by the misty lake in the morning, see beautiful sunsets on the way home as well as see all the ducks and geese could honestly make some struggling days much better. In addition to that, it is quite close to central campus, 10-15 minute walk from all my classes and it is super close to the Fitness Centre (big plus). Aside from all that the rooms are quite spacious with lots of storage, ensuite rooms with nice big beds, big desk and a nice bathroom. Honestly I have seen and heard other students talk about their uni accommodation and my room and flat in lakeside was genuinely amazing. And you get a big kitchen to share with just 6-7 other people, it's great!

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Oadby is a great place to be but too far away from uni. Kent house is probably the best valued accomodation that I have srrnz the others seem experience or run down. (A random accomodation was picked as no UoL places were on the list)
Lakeside is a quieter hall away from the hustle and bustle of campus life but within walking distance of everything you could need. The rooms are large and organised into flats/corridors. Each room has plenty of storage and ensuite and kitchens are cleaned weekly. Just lacks social space so not easy to meet people from other flats.
Good for the price. Decent Rooms. Kitchens are small upstairs. Not as lively but made friends for life here. Geese are loud on ground floor.
