In an amazing location, about a 5min walk to central campus where I had all my seminars and close enough to the bus interchange. There's a huge shopping centre which is literally 2mins away with Tescos, Aldi, Wilkos, Iceland etc. Pretty good value for money, especially since you'd just be sharing the bathroom with one other person and I had no problems. Kitchen and shared bathrooms cleaned every week, but cleanliness of course depends on the people too. Had quite a few maintenance issues as lots of works being done, and bear in mind it's only been 2 months since I've moved in (problems including spotty wifi, no hot water, broken oven). Every flat has a kitchen and communal area attached which is a really nice social area - all the flats on each floor are connected as a single corridor so it can be pretty social if you like. Laundry room with washing machines and dryer, only 4 each for essentially the whole block I think, but I've never run into availability problems.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.
Great location, social experience depends on flatmates

I have had an amazing experience at this uni so far. the support network and facilities are outstanding
Sometimes there's no hot water so you have to time when getting up (when everyone is getting up it can run out sometimes). I do Life Sciences and the walk every day is manageable, around 20 mins or under every day. The downside is that there's no social area except the kitchen and dining area but we've managed to have pre-drinks here a few times so it doesn't bother us that much. When we want to watch a movie we just use someone's room. Sharing the bathroom with another person is really easy, it's like having your own. You're so close to Tesco and close enough to the SU and library that I don't complain about my daily walk that much. I usually only have to do it once a day and then I just go the library. We do get shut down sometimes for being too noisy when we weren't that loud but most of the time it's fine to host a small party as long as your sensible.
You have to time getting up to have hot water sometimes. I do Life Sciences and the walk every day to lectures isn't great but is manageable. The closeness of Tesco makes up for it though and you're close enough to the library and the Copper Rooms for an SU event so that you aren't scared to walk home. Having to share the bathroom with one other person is so easy it's like having your own. The kitchen is the only social space though but we manage to have pre-drinks and things here. If you want a cosy flat night in you just use someone's room.
No common room!! :( but very clean, quiet, ideal location and good value for money!
Very good facilities and very good value for money
It was good flatmates are awesome cleaners really friendly I got a gift in the first few weeks when there was a problem there'd be help on the day but the resident help was a buzzkill
Cool people, great location for maths, tescos, within 10 minutes walk of everywhere on central campus
Centrally located, allocation of students on the basis of their year in the blocks provides an ideal studying environment. With the same gender bathroom sharing facility between two individual and 12 individuals to a flat, and a weekly cleaning facility levels of hygiene are optimal.
