I’m writing this review to express my gratitude for Brunel house staff——Marilou. Marilou is very kind and responsible! As I used microwave to heat the dark chocolate, the microwave produced smoke. I'm afraid to trigger the smoke alarm, so I moved the microwave oven downstairs,Marilou took the initiative to ask me what happened and helped me deal with my microwave oven. And she also helped me check the condition of the room and told me how to hot chocolate correctly and use the microwave in the future. She is the most enthusiastic and responsible staff I have ever met! I think she deserves such praise.

Brunel House Biography
The eco-friendly building, Brunel House is a former Victorian hotel and is conveniently located a short ten-minute walk from the University of Bristol campus. When wanting to get out and about you can make use of the Bristol bus station, which is a ten-minute walk away or you can head on over to Park Street, Brandon Hill Park, or College Green.
After lectures, you can hang out on the bean bags or sofas in the common area and watch TV or challenge your neighbours to a game of pool or ping-pong. The private gardens offer a tranquil space to relax in as it boasts murals from a local artist and is home to the wildflower meadow, bat and bird boxes, bee hotels, and even a log pile sanctuary for reptiles and insects. To make your stay as convenient as possible there is a study space and vending machines.
Brunel House offers students independent living, as the modern and light studio rooms are fitted with an en-suite bathroom and kitchen and can be easily booked online. If you are looking to stay in an en-suite room in a shared apartment you can get in touch with the UoB accommodation team.

Marilou help me to go back my room when my door have some problem about it could open by card
Thank you, dear Marilou, she is a lovely employee here. Thanks to her helping me find my package, it's from my hometown. I'm waiting for a month and I'm very worried. After several twists and turns, Marilou helped me find it. Thank you so much!
I really needed help on my first day here to settle in better, and Marilou was so kind and helped me to set up my sim card, guided me with address, and overall made me feel welcomed. I really appreciate the staff here.
All staff are kind, and help us a lot , especially Marilou helped me to clean my tube in my shower room!!!! Thank her very much! Very affable and sweet to have her as our reception !
Room wasn't cleaned on arrival. So opted to clean it myself, and Kenny from the reception night shifts helped out tremendously. Was a massive help and made a pretty awful situation less awful when he had no obligation to. Give him a raise!
Recently, my studio had an issue with the microwave making noise. I reported this problem to the reception and Marilou was very helpful in addressing it. In the end, they replaced the microwave with a new one. Throughout the process, Dan assisted me by bringing the new microwave upstairs and taking the old one downstairs, and he also helped me move a very heavy water container. I am very grateful for their assistance!
One of staffs, Marilou, helps me a lot. She is very warm-hearted.
Staff are really kind and there are a lot of communal spaces.
Marilou , who is a member is very helpful
Brunel House was a great place to live, the room was spacious, the staff are all great and the common room is a good place to socialise
we're happy to hear that :) Many thanks Brunel
Brunel is a beautiful accommodation with a great location. It isn't very social, and I don't feel that there is much encouragement of interaction between flats and between blocks. Also, Block C feels isolated from the rest of the accommodation.
Would definitely recommend Brunel House to others.
Thank you so much for your feedback :) Brunel team
Great place for making new friends, social areas are great.
Very nice location, nice facilities. Staff are incredibly helpful
Great student accomodation and events
All doing good accommodation, location and staff both great
I've found Brunel great, the rooms are lovely.
Great location, amazing staff and maintenance fixes and checks are done timely!
Safe, clean and great location
Brunel House was exactly what I hoped for, if not more. The residential team are incredibly friendly and accomodating. The Accomodation location is perfect - close to both campus, transport and the city facilities. Accomodation as a whole is well-structured and designed, full of social spaces, a beautiful backyard area and study spaces. My room is spacious and full of natural light, comfortable and has great storage. I always feel safe and supported here.
Superb location at the bottom of Park Street, lovely and attentive accommodation team, and well-maintained facilities. To further enhance the student experience, it would be great to acquire musical instruments like a guitar and a larger selection of games for the gaming console.
Very safe, staff are extremely helpful
clean and modern accommodation with nice flatmates, but expensive
fantastic location with great aesthetics
really safe and lovely environment!
Sometimes there are needs for repairs in joint spaces like the lift that don’t happen in a timely fashion, but it is partially understandable due to timetabling issues.
Comfortable with some inconveniences from time to time. Got a room change comfortably. Has all the needs a student could want.
Love the location, and the property is beautiful whilst being modern inside
Heating need to be improved. The room is cold.
Generally speaking Brunel House is a great place for international students to live. 9.5/10! Just sometimes the WiFi doesn’t work well.
Hello, Thank you so much for your feedabck. We're always try to make our costumers feel like at home. Sometimes things as WiFi issue can make days a bit annoying but we do our best to keep our service the best. Many Thanks :) Brunel team
It is a very decent accommodation to stay in overall.
Thank you so much :) Brunel team
I’ve really enjoyed my year here. Really nice place to bring your friends back to hang out. The rooms are very modern and light which is lucky for a student accommodation.
Hi, Thank you so much for your feedabck. Very happy to hear that :) Many thanks. Brunel team
I’ve been a resident here since September and it’s been a great experience! The manager when I moved in, Louis, was phenomenal, but he has sadly now left. Hayden, Jamie, Artur, Keniele and Lorraine are amazing staff members and they’ve made my stay fab. Lorraine cleans our kitchen biweekly and does a brilliant job. We even won an award for cleanest kitchen, being given chocolates! Lovely extra bit of care. The flat is very expensive, but in my experience it is the best ‘expensive’ halls in Bristol - Campbell House is also good, with amenities like a cinema room and coffee machine, but the location, kitchens and courtyard give Brunel the edge. If you’re going to go for an expensive en suite hall, go for this one, with Campbell as a close second. The wifi has been great. Very fast with a LAN port in the room. Some people get confused by having to put the MAC addresses of devices into the Glide app, but once you get that the wifi is fab. If you want an en suite, this is the best choice.
It’s such a nice place that I wish I didn’t have to move out!
We love to hear that ! Come to see us when you want :) Thank you so much and good luck for everything Brunel tem
I've had a fantastic time living in Brunel whilst studying my Undergraduate Economics course. The social space always allows for good group study sessions as well as a fun game of pool. I've also had the pleasure of consistent support from the staff - especially Giorgia who always greets me enthusiastically.
Thank you for review Adam. We are really happy that you chose us and that you enjoyed your stay here in Brunel House. It was nice to "work together". With us you will always find the support you need. We wish you the best :)
First of all I want to accent that location-wise it’s located perfectly between the city centre and the university (i.e. easy access to studies and for leisure stuff/cafes/restaurants/supermarkets etc.), on a walking distance from train station (good for students living not far from Bristol, easy travel to home on weekends). Staff’s very friendly and always ready for help, even on non-working hours; in the night-time there’s security over the lobby, so a stay’s safe in all senses (for instance no drunk weirdos can come over the building as they do in a city centre quite often). Building’s freshly renovated and I personally never had any issue regarding maintenance, but as far as I know if even maintenance issues arise they’re being solved in a very quick period. And , most importantly, price-quality ratio’s very satisfying. So, I’m gladly recommending staying at Brunel :)
Hi, fisrt of all thank you so much for your feedback we really appreciate that. We are glad about our location and how this is usuful for our students. We know that is not always easy be faraway from family and home, so our stuff including maintence people are always trying to make the students feels like home. Your seftey come first for us. We're happy that you choosed us and good luck for everything :) Thank you Brunel team
Brunel is a great accommodation for people searching for a city central environment with everything as close as can be. It is all very modern and walking distance of many shops and bars. With great access to college green and the cathedral, a lovely space to sit, a campus aspect to city Uni life.
Thank you for this lovely reveiw, we're extremly proud of our great location.
lovely place for freshers who want a mixture of ongoing nightlife and chill time
Thank you for your feedback, we like to think so too!
I promise anyone getting here is lucky and would absolutely enjoy their time.
Thank you for the lovely reveiw, we're pleased you enjoyed your stay :)
The building itself and the staff are generally.great, but there is a lack of staffing most of the time.
Thanks for your feedback! we're glad you enjoyed your stay at Brunel House
It was a great accommodation, good room and bathroom!
Thanks for your feedback, We hope you had a pleasant stay.
The best staff!! Everyone’s so welcoming and so kind. Best location in Bristol, right in the middle between the uni and the city center!

The Location is the best part with it being completely central but enough off the main route there is very little noise
We take pride in our location for these reasons! Thank you for acknowledging & staying with uS at Brunel House.
