Cathedral Park Biography
Cathedral Park is the perfect choice for residents studying at the University of Bristol as the main campus is located nearby. The University of West England can also be easily reached within a short bus ride. The accommodation is located near Clifton Downs and is right in the city centre and offers plenty of bars, shops and restaurants right on your doorstep.
There are fantastic social spaces for you to use, including a common area, communal study space and outdoor social space. You can skip your gym membership as there is a free onsite gym. If you are in need of a snack there are vending machines onsite.
You can choose to stay in an en-suite room where you share a kitchen and living space with your flatmates, alternatively, you can opt to stay in a studio room or twin room. Each room comes with its own bathroom, study desk and plenty of storage.

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Living here is generally a good experience. It's very close to the school and there are supermarkets nearby, making life convenient. Also, I met a very enthusiastic staff member named ET, which made my life here more colorful. Apart from the occasional noise from the renovation during special periods, the overall stay has been great.
I am enjoying my stay, all good but the Wi-Fi and location could be better. Also, I wanted to thanks the staff at reception- Bridell who was helping me to check in and show me around the building. She’s being really helpful and knowledgeable. Hope the management can keep the high standard of customer service in the future.
Cathedral Park is a fantastic student accommodation with a beautiful building, great facilities, and close to the university. The on-site gym is a great bonus for staying active, and the overall experience here has been excellent. A special shoutout to ET, one of the staff members, he’s super friendly, always helpful, and great to talk to. He even helped me sort out a laptop issue, which I really appreciated. It’s always fun chatting with him, and he really makes the experience at Cathedral Park even better. Highly recommend!
Good location and some staffs are helpful sometimes. But the service attitude of some staff in the reception is not good. It makes me feel that they are impatient with me and not very friendly. Sometimes they don't try their best to help me with my problems.
I had a great experience staying at Cathedral Park. The accommodation is comfortable, well-maintained, and provides a pleasant environment for students. One of the highlights of my stay was the excellent service provided by ET, who works there. ET is incredibly friendly, approachable, and always willing to help with any issues or questions. His positive attitude and professionalism made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend Cathedral Park for anyone looking for quality student accommodation with great staff support!
Mrs Marilou is the best receptionist she is very warm and friendly always helping me with my problems in a timely manner I had a great time staying in this flat This flat is very close to the school a five minute walk away which is very convenient. I recommend it to everyone.

So far so good. Great amenities, especially the gym so I don't have to look for one outside. Incredible support staff, thanks to Lappy for supporting me through my first days here and for answering all my questions/enquiries to my satisfaction. The laundry room & trash place is quite a distance for the G rooms especially, though there could be a route that I haven't been acquainted with yet, otherwise great stuff. Thanks!

Located at literally the centre of Bristol. Main building is outstanding as is converted cathedral. Super friendly team staff always there to help residents. Especially, Jarmo is super knowledgeable as well as sociable. I think the rent is overpriced, but totally worth living.
A very warm place for international students. Very near the main campus of Bristol, with convenient access to buses and shops. All in all it’s great, love it so much!
Managed very well and in perfect location, really solid choice to live in. Management very helpful and listened to my concerns. Quiet hall but what I wanted. Very good wifi.
- Rooms and building overall needs better ventilation system, especially during summer. - Staff in particular are very helpful and friendly, with team lead Jack, receptionist Shelly and the cleaning staff Terry and Felicia in particular. - Overall a very pleasant experience to live here for 2 years.
The furnitures quality is poor. The bed board collapsed and broke in half. I fall under the bed (the bed is about 1 meter above ground). The reception said they may charge me for the damage.
