Great courses and great place to study, clubs and societies were also amazing both before and during the pandemic. Highly supportive lecturers. Just wish it were closer to London 😆
The campus itself is stunning with the views amazing while also the teaching and lecturers make everything understandable. On campus the facilities for example the library is very good while also having Starbucks and many other food and drink places on campus

I've been here for a couple of months now, and I am very impressed by the setting, and atmosphere at the Garage. You always feel welcome and at home when you arrive, and there are a wide range of activities offered. The services are also just as good, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to go with private accommodation.
Incredible campus, everything is very cool and nice.
The campus really is beautiful, very nice to walk around outside and founders is a unique and lovely building. All of my lecturers are engaging and helpful. However nights out suck, the two small venues host events once a week which both feel like school discos. Sports are good but societies feel rather lacklustre so flatmates tend to just hang around in kitchens. It’s not near enough to London to get there regularly and Egham is not somewhere anyone wants to be so you feel kind of stuck here. The student body is just too small, I feel like I’ve met everyone and I’ve been here less than two months. It’s also completely deserted at the weekend and honestly rather depressing. Basically you’ll be okay if you get on with flatmates and like a quiet environment rather than vibrant social/nightlife

Wifi is strong especially at point like the library or lecture buildings. The campus overall is very clean and well kept with modern infrastructure

Came here to study Data Sciences , but college don't give a f*** about your career. Even if you get a job these so called scholar Professor of Data science department will come up with something stupid to stop you from getting successful. Their way of teaching also sucks although university is not bad. I hope someone in the administration stops these fool professors of Data science.
Overall it was a helpful and friendly environment on campus. Due to covid many clubs and societies didn’t run however there were many interesting societies. In addition, as a lot of this year was online I was wasn’t aware of many facilities and services so it would have been better if they let everyone know about these services early on this year.
It’s a good university with a beautiful campus and great amenities ie EWD building. The lecturers/seminar tutors are also supportive and extremely good at what they do

Very nice, but small campus university
Although it's a gorgeous campus, the surrounding area doesn't have much to do. The clubs and societies are also quite expensive to join, plus the gym is small and expensive. There are some great places to eat around campus and the library is quite good (although I think the addition of the commuter hub that guaranteed spaces for commuting students in the library should be something that stays permanently) The biological sciences department was really good and I liked having a personal tutor as a first point of call when it came to any problems with the course of even the uni itself.
Unfortunately I could not participate in clubs and societies due to the pandemic. There was also a lack of information regarding these clubs. However, everything else about the university is very good.
I am very pleased with my choice of university. Royal Holloway is a big university that is situated just outside of London so I can go sightseeing whoever I decide to. The university itself is very well organised and one can easily use the services provided - such as Careers one.

Beautiful campus with excellent facilities and a variety of societies and sports clubs for all levels of interest and ability. Teaching is excellent, night life is good and location is great.
The campus is quite small, but very compact and enclosed. Sociable activity is rewarded. There's much more to the area than to the eye. The nature surrounding the area is beautiful.

RHUL offers lots of great student facilities, which over mental health, social well being, as well as extra curricular clubs and societies for all to enjoy. although the wifi on site is not very fast, its range extends all over campus so there is no place where access is an issue. The student union is also very open to hearing and adapting to students best ineterest.

Hello everyone, Before applying in Royal Holloway University of London, Everyone needs to have a conversation with their seniors. This university does not provide much assistant to students. Students have to face so many problems because their poor management. University looks so cool because of the structure. Teachers doesn't reply to students by the email. Computer department sucks. If I consider placements, they don't even provide any opportunities so in all, one year industry Visa is a waste of money. Students service center tends to help students a bit. But My friends who lived in George Elliot halls faced so many problems but they did not help any of them. They did not change the rooms even if they have vacancy. you will feel so irritated and as a international students it is so hard to live and sustain in those conditions. I will suggest not to join this university at all. Such a waste of money and waste of time.

It has been a great experience. The university is excellent in research and also has very good contacts with companies, so students have all the time feedback from experienced professionals
I studied Modern History and Politics during my time at Royal Holloway. My course was well structured, all my lecturers were passionate, inspired me to be more, and were deeply knowledgeable as well as helpful. The variety of optional history units was simply superb. The university itself can feel like it is run life a business at times from the admin side, but the academic departments themselves cannot be faulted. During my time there I have always felt cared about and as if my studies genuinely mattered. The campus can be very quiet at times but I would not say boring as the local town of Egham is very near and the train station is also a short walk away meaning a person can rich London in under an hour. The Student's Union tries but it isn't the best in the world, despite this there are a great number of societies at the university which offered many of my friends much enjoyment. I personally loved my time at Royal Holloway and would recommend anyone to go there.
I started my study last Sept 2018 and I like studying here. In general, their student supports are very good and your voices are somehow heard and considered. A new library building which looks so cool although I really hope students could also help maintain it and not break some facilities in it. Many part time jobs available. While other people complained the place and neighborhood is quiet, I really like it because if you want to go to London, it's only a 45 minutes away buy train and Egham is serene and a perfect place for studying. What I still find it a bit difficult is a hilly long walk from the train station but manageable :)
The facilities available at the university are the best
There are three main problems with RHUL: it's overcrowded, it's expensive, it's boring. New library that doesn't fit in even the majority of students on busy days, if it's exam season forget it. Three new accommodations have been built but they haven't increased the size of the Uni. One that is too small to be in the Russel Group it reminds me of a large school, not a place for 12,000+ people. Catered accommodation doesn't come with any cooking appliances, so purchasing food is the only option. Food that is supposed to come with Catered accommodation has to be paid for, adding up to large amount every month just too eat the food that's there for us to survive. Eating on campus would normally set you back around 10 pounds and that doesn't include coffees. They even have a policy, so that cups cost 20p not a big deal; but you can't get a free cup of water here as a result. It's boring. The only exciting pub was bought by the University and shut down.
i went to the uni for a term and dropped out, the campus is beautiful but that’s about all it has going for it - it’s in the middle of nowhere and i found that to be extremely isolating and claustrophobic. this element made it feel like still being at school with people having small friendship groups and the lack of town/city living. clubs and societies on offer are decent and well organised but nights at the SU could definitely be improved on considering the absence of any other real nightlife nearby, could also look into better mental health support, particularly for freshers where this is often an issue.
Terrible mental health support. Terrible health centre. Not enough study spaces for students in new library. University is isolating and cliquey.
I have just started at royal holloway but so far I am absolutely loving it. The support I am receiving is so good and everyone is very welcoming. The newly built library is excellent and founders is just stunning.

This university is great! It is a community. all the students feel like a big family living in small Egham. Although Egham doesn't have much to do, stains and Windsor are just around the corner with cinemas and Nandos and Primark... Founder's castle is the most beautiful building ever!
I got here through clearing, and it's a bit dead in comparison to the unit i wanted to go to. However, the campus is nice and has great facilities, and I like everything being close together. I wouldn't come here if you want a party uni, but it's a nice smaller community, and a really pleasant campus.

The campus facilities are good, will be better once the new library is open. I sometimes feel like we could do with some more shops (SU shop is quite expensive), for example a small pharmacy may be useful and a bank like seen on other campuses. The clubs and societies I have done joined I really like. I haven't used the careers service yet. The Wi-Fi is okay, but can cut out at weird points, and please fix Moodle, it keeps crashing at really inconvenient times. I think the SU whilst having some good ideas, doesn't necessarily go about them in the right way, and doesn't subsidise the right things, helping to make living at university fun and affordable for all.
It's a good place, if anything a bit small but if that's your thing then this is the place for you.
Terrible location no nightlife full of racists
The university has managed a good student experience campus with good student facilities, clubs and education but lacks on providing social experiences.
Love the university, area and people. Internet can be a bit slow though.
The SU is really disorganised but if you want a quiet uni life then 10/10
My experiences are absolutely out of expectation and now I can't be happier to be here. It's at a good location - close enough to London yet far away enough from all its distraction. Besides, we have the stunning orange building which make rhul one of the most beautiful uni in uk!

This is a quite a small campus university, so it has all the limitations one would expect from that. But RHUL is currently undergoing some major re-development so this might change quite soon.
After looking at Russel Groups and being accepted by some of the best universities I ranked this above them all for it being so friendly and welcoming as well as beautiful and academicly outstanding in my field
Tiny SU and generally over crowed, wish medicine was a little better. Clubs and societies are very insular in my experience and very intimidating
The SU is a little subpar, you really have to be quite drunk to have fun in there, but the rest of it is amazing.
i love the SU. they work so hard for the students, listen to their requests and suggestions. there are so many clubs and societies, they make an otherwise quiet uneventful place and incredibly fun, worthwhile place to be
