Really great uni, i’ve met some of my bestest friends here!
It's good and helping the college is a hub of knowledge.
Good college. Good course. Great people
I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far - the campus is set out well and everything is so welcoming
It was great to stay here for 1 year
Nice place to stay. Everybody is really helpful
Great uni and department for social sciences but could improve on basic admin
Professors and all the amenities on the campus are great. It’s a very holistic experience:)
Loving UoM, very supportive of students opinions and overall fun.
Its been a great experience, i love it
A nice uni with a lot of stuff to do for entertainment or educational purposes.
Love the staff they’re so nice and bubbly. Sana, Sam and Leslie are the most helpful stuff.
a pretty good university, theres not much to complain about. the IT is pretty bad though, there have been issues with my manchester for 13 months now and these are still not resolved
The food options on and around Campus are quite limited. The wifi is generally.good but occasionally is noticably worse or just doesn't work.
good experience studying in the university of Manchester
The University of Manchester is the biggest on-campus universitiy in Europe, and has more societies than you can even think to name. There's a thriving student community and this is well-supported by department staff, comprehensive teaching, and shared building and resources for the students.
It’s a great place to be with great facilities
Reception Ruby is very enthusiastic and friendly! She is patient to help me solve my problems and get my parcel, It's nice to see her every day!
Daisy bank hall is quite a nice and quiet place to live in. Every single one in daisy bank is so nice and they are always willing to help you if you are in need of it. Claudia is a considerate manager here. Tesco, Lidl, Poundland and Morrison's are just 10-minute-walk away from here. People live here can hardly get overwhelmed because we can get warmth here. For example, you will receive christmas gift during holidays, drinking a cup of free tea in the tea month and get free hotdogs and pizza at the very beginning of one semester and so on. I am about to go back to China the day after tomorrow. I really spent a great time here, in Daisy Bank Hall, in Manchester, in the UK. A lovely place!
Top notch university. Highly recommend it for STEM degrees.
Careers service has been really helpful, I’ve had multiple appointments and they are simple to book, however can be booked out for weeeks during busy periods. In that case there tend arrange random drop in sessions where you can receive the same help without having to wait for a booking.
You feel the repute of the university when you walk down Oxford Road. It is huge and spread out with world class infrastructure and facilities. Student life is active here and there is always some or the other thing going on. Classes are challenging, as they should be. Helps grow personally and professionally.
Excellent experience, the campus is great and the people, both staff and colleagues are really nice.
good experience so far. very enjoyable campus.
Any faulty facilities or internet connection issues are quickly fixed. There are still some concerns over security following the previous cyber attack though.
It's alright but trying to get offices within the university to respond to issues usually takes forever, expect to be responded to in the next working week...
So far i had a good experience with the university i'm happy.
People here are humble and accept different nationalities. Overall, I have had a good experience so far.
Nice campus. Lots of activities going on.
The cleaning of toilets is terrible, and the login of eduroam is troublesome for the first-time users.
All facilities are beyond my expectation.
The city is amazing and the vibes are wonderful
We have probabaly the largest and the most beautiful campus in all of UK. It is so huge that sometimes it gets a little tough to navigate through building.
The University of Manchester stands as a beacon of exceptional learning opportunities, providing an environment where education, facilities, and international societies converge to create an unparalleled student experience.
Perfect. There is almost nothing to complain about. What I can say is that sometimes, the university's internet is not working so I cannot check-in, but I think it is alright
I love the university of Manchester because of the state of art facilities
Good and excellent facilities.
Great uni, just if you study medicine, you may be put onto the preston campus, which is very far out, and none of the central campus societies really apply unless you want to commute 45 mins by train to go to a society event...
My University of Manchester Experience: Thriving in the Third Year My journey at the University of Manchester has been an incredible adventure, especially now that I've reached my third year. Over this time, I've experienced tremendous personal and academic growth. The academic rigors of this prestigious institution have challenged and expanded my knowledge and critical thinking. My courses have become more specialized, allowing me to delve deeper into my chosen field of study. The guidance from my professors and the resources available on campus have been invaluable in supporting my academic journey. Outside the classroom, Manchester has provided a vibrant and diverse cultural experience. The city's rich history, thriving arts scene, and lively student community have offered me numerous opportunities to explore and expand my horizons. Through my involvement in clubs, societies, and volunteering, I've built lasting friendships and developed leadership skills that will serve me
Great experience throughout. No complaints whatsoever.
campus and facilities are excellent
Very nice campus and a lot of cafes and study areas nearby
Many helpful lecturers, and has plenty of diversity
Pleasant stay. Good location, closer from university and shops.
University is really big and awesome... each day we'll explore new things... one of the world's best uni... fee is little bit high for international students... mine was high😢😢
Would have been nice if the romanian society still existed, and if you can join societies without paying.
Good university with great facilities, active clubs and societies. The campus is accessible and clean. It's open with great study places.
Social, vibrant university. Variety of activities available
Internet drops sometimes but overall good. Food facilities
I love university and have been having a great time with my peers
good uni, nice place to get a degree
I really like my university. But it would be better if the water dispenser on the second floor of aglc could be repaired early.
Great University and great City.
it is very good and i am very staisfied with it
The best university to study Engineering.
The wifi is very good as it is very fast and i can go onto the internet anytime i want at university. the careers service is good as i can communicate with them for careers advice anytime. The facilities is very good as i am able to join socialise by joining different groups. The student union would listen to my advice and i can go to get support at anytime.
Good studying facilities. Great social opportunities.
There aren’t very many clubs introduced and shown as available as id like but the university itself is good quality
It has been really good since I arrived here in the UK
I have had a mixed time at this university. Sometimes the support has been good and sometimes it’s been bad. Bits of campus are accessible but a lot of it isn’t.
It is a great place to live and I feel at home
Good experience, WiFi can be annoying at some spots but facilities are always available to study. Range of locations to crowded spaces to chill areas, with areas open at late times for late studies. Course was fun with many different activities
Manchester medical school has some improvements to make but they’re are not enough characters for me to go into this
The University has great teaching staff
Love Manchester. The people food places social events keeps me entertained. I also love that a lot of places are open for longer hours.
Data reception on campus is abit slow but the actual campus, staff and SU are incredible
Pretty good university. Not bad
I have been in Manchester for several days. I went to visit the school. The school buildings are beautiful, the environment is beautiful, the park is comfortable, and there are swings to play on. The school staff was also very friendly and patient, and the project went smoothly. Is a good start!
The campus is relatively close knit and so buildings are easy to find. There isn't much activity advertised by the SU asides from freshers activities.
I have enjoyed my time here so far
The university is very good for everything.
Mixed reviews for eduroam. There’s mice in engineering building
One of the best universities in terms of research. There are lot of resources for the students to be benefitted. Student life here is memorable.
It a lovely campus with all we need! Especially the international society arranging lots of activities for students.
The University of Manchester is a great university and offers many opportunities. I am very happy here and the campus and SU are great.
The University held plenty of social events; both for leisure and for personal and professional growth
A good place to learn and networking. I am a Master's student that only study for one year so it is hard to actively participate in societies or union.
the University of Manchester. The campus is beatiful and big. Many clubs here, so you could make firends easily. And you could find a job in UK and settle down easily. Wifi covered all area of campus.
Not worth the money, no help, they leave you to it
Good university but sent too far away on placement unfortunately- lost association and connection with it
Great uni, lots of societies and activities that cater to a wide range of interests.
Great experience but not enough student support during union strikes.
Personally I really liked events in SU like thrift shop, poster sales fair and so on.
The librarys are old & understaffed. Gets too busy during exam season. They bang on about mental health but the support is very patronising.
The University is well renowned with a great campus but they put most of the achademic load on the students so be prepared for that
The facilities, societies, SU,career service, and wifi are great
The university's focus appears to prioritize business over student care. For instance, basic necessities like toilets and study areas are consistently unclean. Despite the substantial fees we pay, the benefits we receive from the university are quite limited. Opportunities such as access to sports clubs and free classes are scarce. The only redeeming factor seems to be the university's reputation, which unfortunately does not translate into practical skills for the working field. The education provided tends to be academically focused rather than practical in nature.
Good reputation but some lectureres dont really care or they do not know how to teach
The university offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and has a lively student union. Everyone here is welcoming and amiable.
There are countless helpful facilities scattered throughout the campus, with a great student union, that have helped especially through the cost of living crisis.
I am proud to be a part of University of Manchester. I am studying MSc Marketing and it has been a wonderful experience so far. The best services provided are by Students Union and Career Service.
The politics department provides nothing outside of readings. No networking opportunities, interesting events with high-level speakers, internship options or exchanges. Not even a dedicated study space for politics undergrads. The degrees can be done online and that's what most people did. There's absolutely nothing that can justify the price, especially when compared to other European universities.
Great teaching staff but admin and IT can be very disorganised and tech and wifi accounts are fiddly to set up. Love the broad range of societies. On campus study space is limited, it can be near impossible to book group spaces near exam periods.
Hard work but rewarding, teaching could be better
Great academic experience however the strikes have ruined it.
I think it’s a space that provides a lot of variety in terms of people
Great place for learning and studying. welcoming union with many opportunities for societies and events to go to with friends that keep you busy and not feeling so alone
Good learnong materials, decent atmosphere
The university has a quite a huge students union which organizes regular events. I’m definitely happy with the social expeirence
The engineering building is only open until 6 pm which is inconvenient for PGT students.
