i would strongly recommend avoid living here. Only good thing about this accom is the double beds and the fact that it is close to the city. The internet is horrible (10mbps) and that’s if you’re lucky. Throughout the year, there was a number on of different issues such as blackouts, issues with washing machines, heating and wifi. Some of these issues were fixed. However, not all.

Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Not worthy the money at all, its filthy and nasty in the Social areas, garbage from several weeeks are stuck in the kitchen. smell urine by the door out to the street. The bathroom smelled terrible and the toilet wasnt cleaned before i moved in. Its terrible service when you try to Get help and question the bad quality for such price.
Terrible value for money! Definitely not worth £127 a week! Needs completely refurbishing to come close to be worth the money! But the location is great in the center of town but if you want to go to bed good luck because the single glazing windows won't allow you to sleep on a Friday Saturday or Monday night. Also the blinds will tell you when the sun is up because they're that good. Enjoy your experience at shades!
I had a wonderful time meeting new people, it is in city centre so less of a walk on a night out, 20-30 minute walk to the main campus. It is a small halls so it is quiet and great a environment to study in. It is next to Sansome house so outside at night can be a bit noisy and you can hear the trains as it is next to the train station. Also some post and deliveries struggle to find the area as the postcode isn't valid and it is on the one way system. It is a nice size room and the beds are lovely and the showers are so nice, they are both the double size of a single shower and bed.
Amazing halls, by far the best in the Uni
