Vincent Place Biography
Vincent Place offers a variety of comfortable studios, en-suites and two-bedroom apartments in a fantastic location in Southampton. The accommodation is just a five-minute walk from Solent University and offers easy access to regular buses running to and from the University of Southampton. It’s also right across the road from the city’s main shopping district.
There’s a modern and spacious communal lounge to enjoy with friends, a quiet study room to make use of and a fully equipped gym which residents can use at no extra cost. There’s also a rooftop terrace offering great views of the city. Student life is made easy at Vincent Place with all-inclusive bills, fast WiFi, printing facilities and an onsite team to lend a hand whenever you need it.
There are seven room types available at Vincent Place which means you can choose something that really suits your budget and living preferences. If you opt for an en-suite room, you’ll share a kitchen and living area with three or five other flatmates. Self-contained studios offer equipped kitchens, more living space and you can also choose to share a spacious two-bedroom apartment with a friend.

Vincent Place is a great place to stay their rooms provide amazing value for money and they’re based in a great location. Maintenance is great, I reported an issue and Ken came and fixed it within a few hours of the report.

Suny was one of the friendliest and helpful I’ve met. I told her about my concern of the cleanliness/sanitation in my flat and she said she will have a look and helped me late at night to unclogged the shower temporarily until maintenance comes in. Every staff at the front desk is very enthusiastic. Every time it needs to be repaired, Ken is also very timely and well maintained. However, the apartment dustbin smells too much and the apartment elevator is always broken, which is an urgent problem to be solved.

The staff at our reception are exceptional. They respond promptly and are always willing to assist with any help we need. They greet us warmly whenever we see them around the apartment. And the maintenance staff, Ken, is great!! Whenever there is a repair issue, he addresses it promptly and professionally. The apartment also organizes numerous events regularly. My kitchen sewer system was blocked for a long time and I had to go to a friend's place for dinner, but when Ken showed up, everything went in the right direction, although it was a little difficult, but Ken was very patient and helped me unclog the pipe, Ken was my hero.

I’m currently on third year and I’ve been here since first year and it has been a great experience the entire time. Other than the great things that come with the accommodation, the people are the ones that stood out the most. Exceptional service from staff and in particular Mr Ken Brumpton, he has gone above and beyond to ensure everything’s in place and working. The reception is very good to help Chinese student solve their problems. You can use the trolly to carry your supermarket’s parcels. Vincent Place is also near the city center, which is convenient enough to shopping and entertaining.

It has a very good location in Southampton, and the room here is very clean, so it’s really a good choice to live here I think.

Great ！, but it is always dirty around the door and inside the elevator on floor G, but it is cleaned up in time.

This is a great flat with a welcoming front desk and security measures in place. I had a very comfortable stay here. The rooms are clean and bright, the communal spaces are large and well equipped.

The staff are very helpful and kind, the gold studio is fantastic for space and all of the halls and social spaces are kept very clean. The facilities such as laundry and reception to receive letters are exceptionally good and any issues that we have reported have been treated seriously and dealt with very quickly.

Me and my girlfriend have been living here for almost two years now, so it is about the time we wrote this review. I have to admit that I can't say a single thing that I disliked about our time here at Vincent Place. Rooms have a great standard, dual occupancy price is an amazing deal, fellow students in the building are great and the location is ideal! But the best thing about living here is the Vincent Place staff and management. Racheal and Tracy are both amazing at managing the building and they are even more amazing when it comes to hiring other staff. There has not been a single reception or maintenance person that has been rude or unhelpful. Every hired person is an interesting individual, which you can always talk to about everything. They will help you if anything is wrong and they will chat with you for hours if you need a conversation. During the pandemic lockdown that quality was a life saver! I definitely recommend Vincent Place. 5 Stars from me!

2021 is a year that makes people struggle with, however, the supporting team of Vincent Place is so friendly and helpful that makes me feel at home, the daily needs can be satisfied in time! By the way, the interior design of the en-suite is functional, we have sufficient natural light with french windows, cabinets and long desk that suitable for student's life, which also makes it a good reason to stay! Feel great to stay here.

Have been living here for a year and so far it's been absolutely fantastic. I've seen a lot of other student accommodations and this one is by far the nicest. My room is very spacious and has tons of natural light and a great view. The few issues that I've had, have always been fixed very quickly. All the staff is always very friendly and helpful. Chats with them have definitely kept me sane during the Covid lockdown. I'm very happy to stay here for another year.

Had a terrible experience with an insanely dirty flatmate.. receptionists and managers not being able to do anything about it.. had to pay £50 extra a month to move to a different flat which was not fair at all.

the security is bad, fixing things is extremely slow, some gym facilities are malfunctioning and didn't get fix.
Hi, we have recently put in 24/7 staffing so that reception is open all the time and the building is manned by our staff to ensure consistency and security. We are sorry that maintenance issues are sometimes slow, this can be due to waiting for parts or contractors but we will take this on board as we are continually looking for ways to improve our serivce.
It's a really nice place to live, the only problem (sometimes) being the WiFi/Internet connection, which is sometimes really slow, but it's not the problem of Vincent Place, as the internet is being provided from an external source (ask4) and it's not Vincent Place's fault.

If there is more common space, for example, common kitchen, that would be better.

The exhaust fan in my toliet doesn't work for a really long time, it's weak and cannot pull out any exhaust but the staff told me it's working sliently...

The speed of WiFi is a bit slow. The lift always broken. The fan in the toilet has broken for 2 months, and no one comes to fix.
Hi, thanks for the review :) we are aware of issues with the WiFi speed at the moment and are communicating with the provider to try and get this rectified. Again, unfortunately the fans are an on going issue that we are working hard to get someone in to fix. Please be assured that we are chasing this constantly and will update students as soon as we get a response. We are sorry for this as we are aware that you, and others are waiting
study space is too noisy when somebody are playing in the common room. Still has one more chair less in our kitchen, two months are passed.
Hi, hank you for the review :) if you feel there is too much noise in the evenings please speak to whoever is working, they can politely remind others that there are people studying and ask them to keep the noise down. In regards to the chair in the kitchen, please come to reception and let me know the room and i can look in to this for you
It is convenient to go anywhere

Room is a little bit small Poor drain in the bathroom Better water tap in kitchen, but poor one in toilet. As reported, rape happened in the park nearby.

We are aware of the incident that has happened but please be assured the building is very secure and there are staff on site 24/7 to ensure that everyone's safety is upheld to the highest standard. If you are concerned you can come and speak to us and we will listen and reassure you

Extremely slow to fix problems and poor management!

Terrible maintainance and extremely slow to fix issues. Staff are lovel and location fantastic,but everything else is below decent
Hi, thank you for the review. We are looking at restructuring so that we have a dedicated care taker to do maintenance and a house keeper to do the cleaning so that the care taker can focus solely on maintenance issues, this should hopefully speed up the time things are fixed
I hope there can include a kitchen cleaning and flat public place cleaning as well, don’t need to frequently, but please do once a month. That would be perfect.

No disabled access to the bike shed and no lighting, all social posters aren’t in English

Vincent is a nice accommodation and the reception is very friendly! This place has a convenient transportation, you can take a little time to take the bus to go anywhere

I think Vincent Place is one of the best accommodations in Southampton. Nearly by the certre and bus station, just need 20mins arrival highfield campus. If you have any problem you can find the reception,they are very friendly!
Being in the centre of Southampton is great, as you say, you can access most locations quickly and easily either by walking or on a local bus. We're very pleased you enjoy staying here, thanks for the review!
