Crown Place is an excellent option for students looking to live in the heart of Portsmouth. It’s conveniently located on Station Street and is just a short walk from the University of Portsmouth. Hi, the higher floor the better in terms of views but which view you determine best will be down to preference. Our south facing rooms look over the sea with views of the Spinnaker Tower, Isle of Wight and the Solent. Our north facing views is city view with slight views of the naval base. Our east facing rooms overlook city, sea and in the direction of Hayling Island. And finally, our west facing rooms look over city, sea, naval base and Gosport! Hope this helps! 😊

The staff here at crown place are extremely helpful and generous catering to any students. The maintenance of lifts being broken or any spillages on floors is dealt with c quickly and efficiently. there’s always freebies they’re willing to give to students provided we leave reviews of the products , Would recommend this accommodation to any student national or international looking for a better living condition for a small extra fee.

Crown Place is easily the best place I’ve lived in the UK. The location is perfect, being right in the center of everything, including the train station, the street with all the shops you could need, and grocery stores. The staff is brilliant—very friendly, positive, and helpful. The rooms are great. Basically, everything you need is in one place.

I’ve had a really lovely stay, and decided to book again for next year because it was always quiet, clean, flexible and the staff are incredibly friendly. They always have social events going on, and are constantly upgrading the social spaces to improve our experience. Furthermore, Any issues I have, I can contact them with a Swift reply, and when they’re not around, the security guards overnight make me feel safe, and are also ready to help whenever I need. If you’re worried about your child going to university, crown place is a safe option to be. I particularly want to mention Dan from reception, who helped me figure out the bridge between tenancies, and was fast and knowledgable when replying to my emails. He has also helped me many times before. Thank you.

My stay here has been great so far! Had a few issues with wifi but has been sorted promptly. My studio is large and has a good view. Lots of events are always happening and makes meeting new people really easily. Would definitely recommend if the prices don’t increase too much!

Crown Place has been a home away from home for me. The reception team have been extremely welcoming, the maintenance team have fixed any issues I’ve had nice and quickly, and the cleaners are always bubbly and up for a conversation. The rooms are spacious and modern and internet is fast. I would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to new students starting their journey in Portsmouth.

I have lived in Crown Place for two years and have loved the experience both times. The staff are amazing and always help out with any queries I have, and always do so quickly! I always recommend Crown Place to my friends and they have moved her too and can also vouch that it’s a great place to live. I really enjoy the social aspect of Crown Place too, i’ve met many friends here and the events that management organise are always so fun. I am going to be sad to leave when I graduate!

It is a nice place to stay for short term, the twodio rooms aren’t very spacious could only open 1 of my wardrobe doors as the main door was in the way, it would have been nice to have a oven. The corridors smelt weekly and the carpets were so dirty. The laundry room looks like it has never been kept tidy, soap powder and lint everywhere and the washing machines inside were dirty.

Staying at crown place was a great experience especially having the opportunity to stay in a studio which has great value of space. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the accommodation was always clean no matter where you were. The faculties were also great to use especially the cinema room I loved staying here as not only did I have an amazing view but the overall atmosphere was amazing will definitely recommend:)))
Living at Crown Place for the past 2 years has been a very pleasant experience. From the day I arrived I felt at home thanks to the staff and tenants. Crown, unlike other accommodations i have lived in, has a strong sense of community which I believe is essential when living alone. The facilities on site are top-notch, such as the modern gym and the cinema room. These are all unkept and by the great maintenance team who are always fast and efficient at to resolving any issues. Location wise crown is at the heart of the town, at a walking distance from various facilities such as shops, university campus, the train station and restaurants, is a huge advantage. During the pandemic, the management ensured that they were available to answer any queries we had. Likewise they offered help in order to accommodate and facilitate both our financial situations and well-being. Overall I am very happy with my stay at Crown Place, and I would highly recommend their services to any students
Since staying here I've experienced nothing but positive things - all staff including security are super friendly and helpful, there are constantly mini competitions and events provided for the residents to interact with us and get to know us, the location is in the middle of everything and has easy access to everywhere. The rooms are big and definitely worth the money, considering facilities such as the gym, cinema rooms, games room, study space and party room are all included. Loved my experience at Crown Place Portsmouth!

Crown place is in a perfect location in central portsmouth, with great views from all sides. The management are really friendly and always there to help. the facilities such as a cinema room, pool table, party room etc. are amazing and im gutted i didnt get to use them as much due to the pandemic. If you want a nice place where you can study, cook or whatever in peace this is the perfect place for you, everyone here gets to know eachother too so you’re never short of friends.

I decided to stay at Crown due to reading other positive reviews and doing my own research on it. It is a perfect accom for students with a lot of facilities to offer. I personally love the fact that Crown offers more for the same price that the uni accommodations do, therefore making it a great value for money. The rooms are everything you could expect and want. I really love my room, the coziness of it and the ambiance that it gives off. It is an accom that's really close to the main areas that you would need (i.e. the train station, uni and city centre). The team at Crown are also great and are really supportive. They always offer a chat or are there when you need someone - which is definitely important if you're a new student and are away from family the first time. I definitely recommend staying at Crown as I will be doing so for my second year of university.
Crown Place is an absolutely brill accommodation for students in Portsmouth. Close to local amenities and university, clean and spacious social spaces, large rooms, great views! A free to use gym, cinema room, party kitchen, pool table and study spaces are all excellent too. The accommodation team is absolutely amazing and can help with any needs you may have. I have lived here for almost 2 years now and there is nothing negative I can say about it. Would definitely rate it a 10/10

My experience at Crown was great tbh! As an international student moving during the COVID 19 pandemic the application process was smooth and the staff was warm and welcoming on arrival! The rooms and general building surroundings were always clean and maintenance was quickly dealt with during my stay. I was a bit ill during my stay and staff delivered all my packages and food to my room and checked on my health and well-being daily and that was super nice and thoughtful! It’s the perfect location very central - right across from the train station and around the corner from the main shops and 4 mins walk to Uni. I would def recommend Crown Place!

Worst place to live in your uni life. Unresonable and always delaying rebates and demanding rent payments immediately. Was told rebate will be in by November then dec then after that saying will be deducted in next rental. Business making company with no sympathy to students. Does not care about students well being at all. Terrible management. Always pushing the blame to another management member. Crown place will ruin your university life.
Thanks for the review, this year we have provided rebates to residents at the start of their booking due to the later start of the University, and again during the recent lockdown. We work really hard to ensure our residents are looked after as best we can. Making rebates to so many students can be busy especially when working in a COVID environment. We hope you have any rebate you we applied has been received. If not please contact the manager on site. In terms of rent, we always expect rent to be paid in time as per the tenancy agreement, if residents are struggling with rent we urge them to talk to us so we can help and assist them. Definitely the best student halls in Portsmouth. We were told not to go here by the University but it is the best and the team are great too.
Been here for a couple of months now and really pleased with the place . Close to public transport , night life and most important the uni. The building is clean unlike some of the other dorms I have stayed at in Portsmouth. The staff working here are very approachable and friendly , particularly Natasha and her colleague Alice. I have contacted them on several occasions about things I was unsure of , general advice and the odd chat and have always found them to be polite professional and willing to go that extra mile to get me the answers I needed .
Crown place is a special place to stay, its very luxurious and has a great location!

Best student accommodation in the whole Portsmouth. Spent one whole year. Feel like home. It's midnight or early morning they are all the time available to support. Central location and walking distance to University buildings. I would strongly recommend Crown Place, Portsmouth.
