Forget any hate youve heard about lenton. Hands down the greatest hall on campus. Youre a victim if you dont choose it. Maybe im bias because ive had a sick time even with covid but this place bangs. Its the people that make it, all 300 people know each other in some way and its just a big family vibe sometimes. its just about close enough to everything like portland and other halls and just enough out of the way to be quiet when it needs to be. Would choose this place a million times over!

I am staying in a private flat in Lenton. I could not choose it.

Really good location (especially for science students but I was arts and still close to everything) and I'd 100% recommend staying on campus - it's a brilliant experience unlike anywhere else you'll ever live and you're much more involved in the uni than self-catered halls. Value for money is not brilliant in the catered halls but not terrible either. Food is not good in any hall. Formals are brilliant fun. The JCR here is awful but we never felt we were missing out because we just hung out in our bedrooms with each other. Most of the hall is shared bathroom but I stayed in the ensuite block and it was really nice.
Awful value for money very expensive for what you get. Hall management were overall awful but some of the management were lovely. The security were friendly and helpful, the people in reception were lovely. However the tutors and the fine system were disgraceful. They hand out fines to anyone and eeyerone, honestly compared to other halls it is mental in lenton and wortley. All other halls have friendly tutors which allow people to enjoy their university experience. People were given fines for having pre-drinks in their room at 10;15; compared to Derby where no one gets any complaints for fines. It began to seem like a money making scheme for the university by the end of the year. Honestly this isn't an exaggeration, the people in this halls wrre lovely and I have the best of friends here but the tutors and fine system is honestly disgraceful. I feel the university preys on the fact that many people here have a lot of money but £50 fine for a small amount of noise is comepltely exessiv
Good halls, lots of socialising and 1song walk away from library.
food wasn’t great, but the daily bites cards were definitely worth it
I love it here as it takes me under 10 mins to get to lectures and we really all do have a community feel
Clean hall where I met lots of my friends
Amazing, hops is great, other halls easy to visit also
Catered halls are better for getting to know a lot of people, whereas self catered is quite restrictive in comparison. Living on campus is great for first year
The food is unbearable, the staff that serve it are surly and rude . It is a complete waste of money, the catering company need to be retrained on how to cook, season and serve. Also one of our formals has just been cancelled because the warden was unhappy some people talked during his last speech (which went on forever) he is behaving like a primary school teacher .
Amazing social scene, brilliant location. Internet great in everyones room apart from mine
1 in 12 chance of ending up in block 7, really don't know if it's worth risking
alright hall, if they shove you in block 7, run.
The best hall on campus for location and rooms (Private shared bathrooms) way above any other standard of room I've experienced across campus and at other uni's. Food was slightly below average before Easter now significant improvement which shows how well the management listen to the students.
Excellent hall ideal location close to the bus stop meaning easy to hit up town at night and has hops a half decent bar.
Hall management aren't helpful and VERY patronising. Location is however, very handy to all buildings on campus. Expensive for what you get and a bit of a rip off to be honest.
Definitely the best hall, only 5 min to Hallward and a bus stop right outside with a 36 bus into town passing recently. Room (private shared bathrooms) are the best size and more than decent for a student. Probably the best student accommodation I have seen.
Beautiful hall, prime location at the top of the hill so you can get to lectures quickly going downhill. Feels like a quality hall because of the general architecture but a downside is you need to physically check if personal parcels arrive whereas some hall management really help by emailing a list every day
One of the best halls in Nottingham you don't have to worry about cooking as it is catered. But potatoes are their main dish. A brilliant social scene
The social life is really good here! The food is the only downside!
