Choosing accommodation can be very tedious especially when you don't have anyone on ground to physically help you inspect the property. It took me a while before making payment to ensure I don't fall into the wrong hands. I review the pictures over and over again. Believe me student roost give exactly what the promised. I love this place so much. I don't have any regrets. I would recommend student roost to anyone looking for student accommodation. The management are very dedicated and respond to any issue promptly.

Beautiful experience lovely people and good maintenance love my stay here
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It’s great to know you’re enjoying your time living with us. We really appreciate the feedback! – Student Roost
Hello I lived at Queens Court, Flat C3, Room 2, from October 5, 2023, to August 24, 2024. From day one, I continuously raised concerns about the behavior of my two roommates, who completely disregarded communal living rules and hygiene standards. They neglected to clean the shared spaces and caused noise throughout the night. Despite reporting this situation to the residence managers through numerous emails, complete with evidence, no action was taken. It seems that as long as tenants pay their rent, they’re allowed to turn the apartment into a mess. This experience has been mentally exhausting, and I deeply regret my time living there. The best part of this accommodation is some of the reception staff. My block has constant issues with water damage, mold, and overall bad construction. Just in my flat sharer, we had issues with plumbing in both bathrooms; no front door lock for almost 2 months; mold and water damage that was clearly painted over before I moved in. The heating in my room is sometimes dodgy; the water tap in the kitchen sometimes does not deliver cold water (which sometimes also tastes bad, making me spend money on bottled water); the kitchen fan is not powerful enough and the flat often smells like food. The rooms are not big, but they do the job, I sometimes wish the windows of my ground-floor bedroom would open more since there is no risk. Lastly, the back gate is often dodgy and decided to not open from the inside and the bins outside often overflow with rubbish. Also, be aware of rats outside of the accommodation, you often see them running around. Overall, I would not recommend it.

I’m sorry to hear you have unresolved maintenance issues, we would encourage you to report these to your property team at reception or via email at queens.court@studentroost.co.uk so that someone from the team can assist you. Really nice experience with students roost but not good as expected it's far expensive for the students to manage

Could upgrade the gym as it is very old with lots of broken equipment. And the social spaces could be used for more frequent activities. There are no social spaces in Queens Court but they are down the road about 5 minutes

Bathroom and kitchen had stains and dust all over the floor when first came. Obviously some stains aren’t the fault of the staff. Pictures are a tad misleading as they are obviously brand new in pictures but looked lifeless in person compared to said pictures. Staff are great especially Wayne, always there to help with whatever we need.

Moving into this accommodation was the worst choice I ever made. We have constant problems with maintenance. Water is off all the time, we had days without flushable toilets or showers, no heating for a week (coldest week in the year), gate is constantly broken, flat entrance has been broken for months, front door has been without a lock for 2 months, silverfish all over the place (it is like a bugs life in here), I’ve had bugs crawl across me when I’m in bed. Mould in the bathrooms, shower problems. You name it, we have probably experienced it. stay far away. I can hand on heart say though that some of the staff here are really friendly.
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We apologise for any inconveniences caused by repairs to the building which causes the water and heat to be turned off for short periods of time. We ensure that all residents are notified of these works being carried out ahead of time so that everyone is able to shower etc. before the works take place. In rare cases where water or heat is off for more than an hour, we provide water and portable heaters to our residents, if you have not received these before please do let us know. We are unaware of any reports on mould, so please report this to reception as soon as possible so we can help. If you would like to discuss these matters, and the other issues you have raised, further you can reach out to your team at reception or, if you haven’t done so already, complete our Feedback and Complaints form so a member of the team can get back to you (www.studentroost.co.uk/feedback-and-complaints). Thanks a lot giving such an wonderful experience. It's been almost convenient to work, study and to travel somewhere else. Got interacted with mates by attending gatherings and events.
Hi, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review! We're pleased you've enjoyed your time with us at Queens Court, the team work hard to provide a positive experience for all our residents! If you have any further feedback please don't hesitate to get in touch.
A bit expensive for what it is. I've had problems with maintenance not resolving issues in a timely manner. There was mould in the shower for most of my stay and it made me ill because the maintenance person kept giving excuses. My room is wheelchair accessible to a certain extent. The majority of the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. However, I have had problems with the staff not having adequate knowledge about disabilities or mental health issues. The area outside of the property isn't the safest especially at night but, it is close to the doctors surgery, the LRI and the DMU campus.
Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. amazing place to stay for students who want to be close to university! staff are always so friendly and always there to help and always do so with a smile. Really recommend and it’s very good for the price
Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're so pleased you've enjoyed your time at Queens Court, we appreciate the positive feedback!
During my 3rd year at university I have chosen to stay at Queens Court (studio flat). The location is very close to the university (approx 2 min walk) and local facilities including bars, shopping centre, restaurants etc. approx 10 minute walk away. Staff have been super helpful and pleasant and are quick to help with any issues that occur during your stay. There are no social spaces as such at Queens Court itself but by staying here it gains you access to social spaces over at the accommodation on Upperton Road which includes a gym. Overall, I would highly recommend Queens Court for students of any year as it provides a much more quiet and friendly form of accommodation in comparison to others I have lived at in the past.
Hi there, we're so happy you've enjoyed your experience at Queen's Court. Being a very central site, it's nice having what Leicester has to offer at our doorstep. The site team are always glad to receive such feedback and will continue to help make your stay a positive one in any way they can. Our social space at Upperton is also available for booking to residents to use the large TV there and the range of entertainment we have (pool tables, table tennis and air hockey). We also love to host events using that social area, so keep your eyes out for these. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, we hope you continue to enjoy your time with us.
Good , but a little expensive…
Hi there, we're happy to hear that overall, you've found us a positive place to be. We're sorry to hear that you've found us a touch expensive, we always strive to offer the most competitive prices possible. It's always worth keeping an eye for any promotionals we have, particularly when it comes to rebooking for next year. Our site team are always happy to help clarify these and explain what we have to offer. We also never charge utilities, so there's never any hidden costs to worry about. Thank you for taking the time to review us, we're always glad to receive feedback.
Lived there 2 years. Good if you go to DMU.
We are glad to hear that you have enjoyed living at Queens Court! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review.
I wouldn't recommend this location really. The fire alarm is going off constantly. When I first arrived at the accomodation I had a list of problems with the flat and some of these took forever to be fixed. The ceiling in the bathroom is made of plywood so the paint is always flaking due to steam from the shower. Who makes a bathroom ceiling out of something that isn't waterproof? I'd have been fine living at the accomodation if it didn't cost a ridiculous amount of money to live there, I was paying £115 a week for something that felt like it was worth about £70 a week. Glad I'm gonna be leaving there at the end of August, the only thing I'll be missing is the WiFi. Shouldn't have wasted my money.
We are sorry that your roost wasn’t 100% what you’d expect it to be. Thank you for taking the time to write us a review.
The accomedation team was always really helpful and friendly especially Sonya, who has tried her best to make our university experience good during coronavirus highly recommend this accommodation and will be staying there next year.
It's great to hear that you have enjoyed living at Queens Court! Thank you for taking the time to give us this feedback.
Best staff - Sonia Pepa has been an amazing staff in reception always attending to my problems and does her job right. However, I believe management takes time to fix problems especially when emails have constantly been sent to get a response or something done.
It's great to hear that you have enjoyed living at Queens Court! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review.
it was always going to be difficult moving away from home for the very first time. however the staff were very helpful in welcoming me and making me feel at home. Great value for money and right next to campus which is a huge positive
It's so great to hear that you are enjoying your experience living at Queens Court! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review.
WiFi is awful and when first arrived it’s like the place hadn’t been cleaned since the last tenancy.
We are sorry that your roost wasn’t 100% what you’d expect it to be. If you are still having isues with the WIFI please do let us know.
I stayed here last year when studying graphic design at DMU. Queens court was right next to campus making extremely easy to access (plus meaning more time in bed!) site staff were helpful with my sister as she made a booking to stay this year 19/20.
It's great to hear that you have enjoyed living at Queens Court! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review.
