I stayed at this accommodation for three years, and from the very first day, they welcomed me with open arms and were always incredibly supportive, no matter the time—whether late at night or in broad daylight. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sarah and Tammie, who were always there for me. They encouraged me from day one to speak English, even when I wasn’t confident, reminding me that mistakes are part of the learning process. They were like mothers to me, people I could share my achievements and setbacks with, always happy to be there to support me. My room was beautiful, and I made it my own with lights, plants, and flowers. I left this accommodation because I finished university and moved on, but I will definitely return soon to say hello to the wonderful ladies at the reception. What you get for the price is such a deal . I’m so lucky I found this when scrolling. Being able to contact the team if you have an issue ,so efficiently on the app and then solving the matter in a few days is so good. I would recommend .

decent accommodation all-round. super friendly night guard especially Damien, 11/10. i think its just missing a few touches and a bit worn down in aspects that would be important to a student. a more modern approach/ design would do this place wonders!!!

It’s a really good living space and everyone is so nice. The kitchen renovations are great and so spacious. The location of the accommodation is so well placed in terms with everything being so close to each other .

The management at my accommodation is amazing as well as attending to maintenance issues quickly and on time. The accommodation is situated close to DMU and the city center; however, there is so much noise pollution! this is understandable as to how close the city centre is and there is a very busy ring road right outside; however, it is annoying when i am trying to study or sleep but all i can hear is car horns, ambulance and police sirens and people screaming on a Friday night.

This has to be the best accommodation I have stayed at throughout the last three years at university! It provides a safe and secure environment as well as best value for money!

I loved my past two years at Applegate place ! The management has been great and they’ve been approachable, no negative thing to say regarding management. Just more the people I live with being messy at times , but that’s not much hello student can do !

My overall experience has been great. It is right next to the city center which is pretty good, however the University of Leicester is a bit far. The amenities are really good and the cleaners clean the place frequently.

My experience with the Applegate place has been very positive. I have a small en-suite room on 4th floor in block 2. It is actually a good size (I don’t have a lot of stuff I bring to university. I share the kitchen with 13 or 14 people which at first sounded like a lot. However, the kitchen is huge and split in half, there are appliances on each side so there are technically two kitchens. We also have lockers so we don’t accuse each other for stealing food too much. I can’t feel that there’s that many people living here. When it comes to cleanliness, it all depends on your roommates. I was quite lucky with them here as people mostly clean after themselves. We had a few bad incidents due to 2 people making mess, but everything’s been resolved. The gym has everything you need and isn’t too crowded. Staff is amazing, always helpful, I’ve had especially positive experience with Katarzyna, Stephen and the maintenance team. Overall it’s a shame I found Applegate so late (3rd year).

Helpful and dedicated staff, especially night staff member Micheal who always answers his phone when called and is happy to help. However, I have been needing a fob for almost a month now and they say that they cannot give me one because the engineer has not yet come to fix the system. It has taken to long for the issue to be fixed.

staff are really lovely, facilities are well cleaned, bathroom is really nice. there is a wall in front of my window which i was a little upset about to begin with. but overall a really nice accommodation in a good location.

In general, the accommodation is good. Had some issues in the begging, some things were broken in my room but were fixed after mentioning it to the stuff. Would definetly recommended. The stuff is friendly, as well as the other students

I’ve been at applegate since September, and I have a had a great experience, the staff are extremely helpful and lovely, and respond quickly to any problems or damages. The kitchens are big and the rooms are really nice.

Stayed here for two years and have had a great experience, the location is perfect, close to uni, shops, clubs and bars. Slightly on the pricier side but worth it for the quality of the room, I always get compliments on my room. Cleaning is done regularly and is always good but the cleanliness of the kitchen depends on your flatmates. Overall, I’d recommend this place to anyone!

Perfectly situated at the edge of town near all major events locations whilst being a leisurely 5min walk from the DMU campus. Rooms to fit most budgets and amazing views. Applegate Place is perfect for students who like a balance between social and uni life. The staff are amazing and super friendly, and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is as hassle free as possible. Ps. Sonya is a great baker

My time in Applegate accommodation has been well spent. I have been taken cared for by the accommodation team; who regularly check up on me as well as others to ensure that they are okay. Their customer service is fantastic and the accommodation is close to town centre and University campus. I highly recommend.

All the staff have made me feel welcome, especially Sonya Peppa who’s quick and reliable over texts and always lovely and easy to talk to, the gym facilities is enough for a good workout daily, and the location is perfect for me being a DMU student.

I really enjoy damion, Steve and Jordan coming to see us in our common room. The wifi does need some improving but if you’re blessed with good flat mates it’s hella a vibe. Staff are really nice.

One of the best accoms to stay in Leicester. The location is just amazing 2 secs from all the clubs and shopping centres and the town. Really good place. Good rooms and quick service.

I have had an amazing experience so far, Damion and jay have both organised a few social fun events to keep the resident occupied. One of the staff from the maintenance team came to fix my leaking tap immediately and completed it with in 4-5mins. I’ve so far had a great experience. I will definitely rebook for the next academic year.
