Riverside offers fantastic accommodation for students in Glasgow. It is in a picturesque riverside location that is within a twenty-minute walk from the University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University. You can also reach both the Glasgow School of Art and the University of Glasgow within a seventeen-minute cycle and the University of Western Scotland within a twenty-three-minute drive. This student hall deserves a 1 because surface level the rooms are cute and the views are great, however, I have had a number of issues living here which have completely tainted my experience unfortunately. Another resident has posted their review from a few months ago in regards to heating and water issues etc. And these are completely true accounts of the actual experiences being had here by students. I see Jeannie has commented trying to dismiss the students concerns and say that these issues should have been raised however as you can see these issues are well known. she has done the same with me as well, I feel sorry for her because I know she can only do so much and is at the hands of homes for students, the company that is running the accommodation needs to give their heads a shake and should be ashamed that they are continuing to take students money to live here when they can't provide basic necessities like heat, water, and now electricity.

I have been studying abroad since 2015 (more than 8 years), I have not seen such a clean, tidy, decent place for a student to stay as Riverside. One more thing I was really impressive is the management style here which was reflected on staff and the way where they treated me well. The reception staff were very nice and highly cooperative. It is really amazing place if you want an enjoyable stay.

I think that Riverside is the best location of student accommodation in glasgow. Very close to subway station(almost 3 minutes) Also close to any supermarkets (Tesco, M&S , Lidl, Sainsbury).I would like to recommend other one to choose here.

Amenities are good enough, the rooms are really small for the price of it, no kitchen space. Bills included but heating is on a timer where you need to put it on again every 2 hours. Staff are great, always go above and beyond to help out!

I am sorry to hear that you are not satisifed with the space of the room, the size of the room is dependant on it's location within the building. As it is a studio apartment, the kitchen will be smaller than that of an ensuite flat, but all amenities are included, such as an undercounter fridge, a cooking hob, kitchen sink a microwave and cupboard spaces We have our heating system on a timer, this is to save energy, and also for safety as it means it is not running 24/7. Although the heating will time out every two hours, you are not limited to how much you can turn it on, you just need to reactivate it. I am really happy to hear that you think the staff are great! We love helping our students, it is the most important part of our job :). My stay at Riverside Glasgow has been absolutely fantastic and I will be staying next year at this place. Located near St Enoch subway, grocery stores, fast food chains, bus stops and railway stations are some of the factors that make this location absolutely at the heart of most places anyone could go to in Glasgow and makes travelling a breeze to University. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and well decorated with a modern design. The bathrooms are spacious and lit in a contemporary style . The bed is large and the kitchen space is well made with a fridge freezer door. I stayed in a room with large windows (in Fox Street Studios) and it was totally worth it because it elevates the ambience of the room to a whole new level. The price is a bit on the high end but the facilities make it worth the money. Special shout out to the staff, Ali and Kiran for being the best human beings one could meet and making my stay even more memorable.

This accomodation is the best since they make you feel like home. The team there is very helpful especially Ali who goes out of his way for the students. It also strategically located close to the subway and a Tesco which makes living so much easier.

The flat is located in the city centre, surrounded by supermarkets, restaurants and bars, and only one minute to the subway station, making life very convenient. If you have a room facing the Clyde river, you can also see the river. The manager is very welcoming and friendly and you can go to him if you need any help. The studios are not all exactly the same type, my room had a large bathroom and is very clean, while the bed is very soft and comfortable. I am very satisfied with my room and the flat and most importantly the rent was not too expensive!

Second year living here and it feels like a home. Rooms are spacious and have everything you would ever need to live a quality life. Common areas are perfect for spending quality time with friends. Ali, the manager is always there to give advice and help us if something happens.

My second year staying here, pretty poggers in general. Very nice modern rooms with pretty competitive pricing for a studio in the city center and easy to get to everything you need. Normally takes around 20 minutes on subway to get to UofG campus but personal speedrun record was around 13 minutes or so. Building is regularly cleaned and Ali the property manager is an absolute king. There are common rooms on all floors of the building and since the location is right in the city center it is easy to get to all the pubs and clubs if that’s your thing. But if you are like me who prefers not to touch grass for an extended period of time then studios here are a perfect place to shut yourself in. Internet:100Mbps as advertised, should be enough for most people, if you have a lot of IoT devices I highly recommend getting your own router because if you share anything on the Glide network the entire building will be able to see that. Might consider booking again next year if my plans allow.

I was very lucky to stay at Riverside in my first year. The room is nice and flatmates at Riverside are pretty friendly. Above all, the location is simply superb right in the middle of city center with the travelling time to school being only 15 minutes in total via subway. …

I absolutely loved my time at Riverside. The building was lovely and quiet but with lots of opportunities to socialise with the other students. My room was nice and spacious with new and clean facilities. The staff were lovely and friendly. The manager Ali, was amazing in helping me both move in and move out of my room. Its very hard to find affordable studios so this was perfect. Would definitely recommend!

Ali is the nicest person and he will for sure try his best to sort out all the problems for you. His ability to manage the whole building is just superb and no matter how bad your day was, seeing him and catching up with him will always put a smile in your face. The accomodation out of all the studios in glasgow(even better than Vita or Yugo) has the best toilet, it's modern with marble floor. The kitchen's extractor makes no noise at all but it does its job perfectly so you can cook in a silent environment. The bed has light switches as well so you dont have to walk all the way to the corridor to turn off the room's light so it's a convenient design. The room generally is very warm and I dont even have to turn on the heater at all throughout the whole year. The river clyde view is simply one of the best views in glasgow throughout the four seasons. Location wise it's good for glasgow university students as it is right next to subway station and you have great access to many bus lines.

I don't think I could have found any better accommodation than Riverside Glasgow. Firstly, the location is excellent. Buchanan bus station, Glasgow central station, Glasgow Queens station and hillhead subway station all are within walking distance. Tesco us just across the road and all other shops are within arms length. Secondly, property manager Ali is extremely helpful, one can rely on him for any issue. And finally, during my stay I had the best neighbors who became good friends over the time. I totally enjoyed my stay at Riverside.

Staying at Riverside, Glasgow was a very pleasant experience for me..This is a calm,clean and safe place for students who are looking for private kitchen and ensuite rooms.. Building is well maintained and good quality room heaters and kitchen equipment are provided.. Manager Ali is a very helpful person who understands your needs and support was provided whenever needed.. I had to end the contract prematurely due to personal reasons .. However checkout process was smooth due to support provided by Ali..I strongly recommend Riverside for students looking for studios with private kitchen..

It is an excellent place to stay. Lovely, clean and spacious rooms. The location is the best: right in the city center. All types of shops and the train station are just nearby. You will also have a wonderful view from your window. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The manager will do his best to make sure students feel safe and comfortable here.

Excellent location, supermarkets, shops, subway, bus stations 1 min walking distance away which is super convenient. The building inside looks fresh and has a great renovation. Views from the Clyde rooms are some of the best you can get in town. The receptionist Ali is a very pleasant guy and will solve all your problems. Overall perfect place to stay, can't recommend enough!

My time spent at Riverside house was lovely. The location is right in the center of Glasgow, almost on Buchanan Street which is perfect. My room was spacious, modern and clean and the wifi was strong. During Covid, the staff went to many lengths to ensure we were all safe. Ali who is on reception is great, always a friendly face to chat to and would do anything to help you out. I would definately recommend staying at Riverside House.
Location is amazing it’s close to the shops, train station etc. The rooms are clean. If you’re looking for a quiet place- this is it ! The receptionist Ali was really nice and welcoming. Giving 4 stars because i had some issues with my room (heater was broken, leaks in my bathroom etc..) but i guess it was just the room that was given to me unfortunately.
Staying here has been great and easy by being situated in the centre of the city with many shops and the subway nearby. The price of this place compares well against other accommodations, is comfortable, secure and clean and the staff have been great, especially the property manager Ali who is kind and always there to help.
If you want a quiet place to work, this accommodation is perfect. The building is secure and the view over the Clyde is fantastic. In addition, Ali, the manager, is very attentive, kind and helpful. If we have any problems, we can really count on him

It was a good experience to stay here. The location is very central and the river view is great. Ali is very helpful and friendly person. He sincerely helped when I faced some issues.
The on site management staff, especially Ali are fantastic, always there to help. The building is in a great location right in the city center close to shops and the main train station. The main issue with Riverside is the Company operating the building. During covid they did not provide proper support such as refunds for less amenities provided, staff time on-site etc. also the front door has been intermittently broken for the past week which has been reported numerous times but not properly fixed.
Location is perfect, studio's are modern and Clyde view is very nice. The staff are very nice (Ali is very kind and helpful). Not much in social experience but this wasn't an issue. I will be back next year.
This was my first time staying at Riverside and I could not have asked for a better place to live. I am a mature student and did not have any issues. Ali was awesome. Anything that we needed he was there to help even if we just needed someone to talk to. The Covid-19 lockdown was hard on many of the students, but everything in our building ran smooth and if there was an issue he was on the case even if it was 3 am. I would recommend this student accommodations to anyone.
Been staying at Riverside House for 2 years and have only good things to say about it. In my opinion, great value for money. Situated very close to St Enoch's subway station and Central. Excellent support from the on-site receptionist Ali, who is always happy to help and answer questions.

During the year I have been able to compare with my friends' accommodation and I am very happy to have chosen this one. Riverside is really very well placed (Central Station, shops ..), always very clean, rooms are really comfortable and in general the accommodation is pretty quiet. I plan to stay next year for all these reasons but mostly because of Ali, he is always available and helps us a lot. I know that if he's here I won't have any problem about anything.

I've enjoyed my year here, I really like my studio and I was able to make my room feel very comfortable. I've generally gotten along with my housemates very well and I've gotten along with staff well too. Everyone has been kind, friendly and respectful and generally the handling of measures needing to be taken due to the pandemic has gone swiftly. Being right by the city centre has been really convenient and the experience overall has been good.
The location of riverside is perfect as its close to all the shops , bus stop, train station and underground station. It is very accessible ! Rooms are well spacious and modern :) Ali is truly the best , he has been there for me since I moved into riverside and always making sure Im all good. He goes beyond his job. Living at Riverside this year has been great and helped me to focus on my studies in a calm and welcoming environment. The river front location is a nice change from the hustle of town while still having easy access to all of Glasgow. Ali is always available at reception for a motivational chat or to help with any problems or advice.

Decent accommodation and is central to Glasgow. Premium studios are very spacious and good to live in while studying. Ali is the best receptionist to have as he always manages to uplift you even on the worst of days.
Riverside is very central, clean and spacious. Ali is very helpful and the wardens are nice. There aren’t many social events as people tend to keep them self to themselves but that didn’t bother me as I also do.
Not the best Student Halls. Would recommend looking elsewhere or making sure ur agreements are in writing as staff and management like to forget they promised you something. Not the only one who feels this way. Regret my decision and so does my parents tremendously :(
