Guests have to sign in at reception every time they come in or out and aren't allowed to stay in your room if you're not there. In shared rooms, guests can't stay overnight, and even in a studio, they can only stay for up to three days. I recommend Buchanan Students Roost, where my friend lives, as it offers more privacy and security without these restrictions.

Good afternoon,
As I write this response, we have engineers on site working on the boilers and we are expecting delivery of the new boiler today, once the engineers on site have finished we will update everyone.
We appreciate that it has taken longer than anticipated to resolve the problems with the boiler, I have spoken today with the area manager on the phone and he has assured me that delivery of the new boiler is being chased every half hour by our head office with the shipping company and that once the new boiler is installed we will be looking at compensation measures, but we would only be able to determine how much once we know the total duration of the repairs.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

It has been great so far. The fire alarm is activated constantly but that is because of the tenants ...It is my only complaint. I'll recommend the place, specially if you are an undergrad student.

The worst Accommodation. The staff is so rude . They interfere so much in your private space. Even the higher authorities do not give solution if you go with a problem. If you want to get yourself insulted, come and live here !

Having stayed at this property for 2 years I have mixed feelings. The staff are all amazing and are always friendly to say hi. Especially the cleaner Sheila, she is the friendliest person ever. The place is always immaculately clean with quite a good location. Other residents can be quite inconsiderate with a lot of them not using the smoking area and smoking right outside my window which leaves a horrible smell in the flat but I've never seen them get moved to the smoking shelter. My biggest issue is the price. I am sharing a studio flat with my partner. These studio flats are not fit for 2 people by any means and it is extremely cramped. They are also introducing a new 50 p/w charge for dual occupants which is absolutely ridiculous during a cost of living crisis when you can get a 1 bedroom flat for way less with two to three times the amount of room. This isn't an issue with St Mungos theirselves but student roost as a whole company. I won't be staying another year due to this.

The staff here are really lovely and it’s a friendly atmosphere but paying nearly a grand a month for a room I think is just too much for what you get. My electricity went out for hours all the time and I had to throw out food multiple times with no compensation. And to try and charge 200 more next year plus 200 for dual occupancy is unreasonable.

St. Mungo's provided me with the best start to living in Glasgow. Apart from the gorgeous flats and great location, the people here are so lovely - the staff in particular are so friendly and helpful providing us with lots of opportunities to socialise with eachother in the building through events and parties. I have lived in St mungos for almost 2 years and I trusted it so much. But although I have filled my refund form on 06/07/2023 and kept writing email, and it states it will process refund in 28 days, I have not got refund yet and I have not got any satisfactory reply now(today is 10/09/2023) . That was really a nightmare！！I really should not trust St mungos！ As for the living experience, I encountered flood in my own studio one midnight. It turned out to be there was sth wrong with the water heater in my studio. I strongly doubt if they really do safety checks efficiently. Given the reasons above, I strongly recommend you not to choose St mungos (it get 2.9 out of 5 in Google map review. )
I cant begin to describe how grateful I am for everyone in st mungos, nadia saved me from impossible situation, she did so much for me , basically she is active positive loving person, Jennifer, an amazing person and not forgetting Robert keeping us safe , and i will never forget my friend Jack, the staff are your family, my PhD wouldn't be finished without their support and help, thank you guys , i am really sad for leaving my family here in glasgow, so who ever is reading, come here without even thinking and you will have a supportive family.
some members of staff (manager) come across as condescending and rude and was very unhelpful wheneve i had an issue. the showers in the accommodation were always blocked and we were told it was our problem. there are social events but they are mainly aimed at the people that the manager is friendly with
I’d highly recommend staying at St Mungo’s the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Any problems I’ve had I’ve gone to the management team and it has been solved instantly. The rooms are perfect and spacious and very fitting for a student’s needs. It has been very easy to make friends here as everyone is so welcoming and approachable. Do not hesitate to move in here.

Student Roost is a great place to live as a university student. Management are extremely friendly making the living experience a much higher quality than other places within Glasgow with the knowledge that If you need anything they will more than happily help you.

I have lived in St. Mungo's for 18 months and I honestly cannot fault anything. I have a great relationship with all the staff and this place really does feel like home. Management throughout COVID has been excellent, with a high standard of cleaning in particular. There is always events on which is a good way to meet new people and friends. The building is Fantastic, Really high standards! My only annoyance is Block A only has one lift - 2 would be better. Highly recommend living here.

My stay has been amazing. I was impressed particularly during Covid how often the building was being cleaned. The reception staff has been exceptional in my view, always willing to offer help. It is within close proximity to Strath which was a plus for me.

My boyfriend and I rent out a silver studio room on dual occupancy and the price we pay to live in the centre of Glasgow is so cheap considering the high standard of St Mungos. The accomodation is always so clean and very pretty. The rooms are quite small but very practical and you can add boxes under the bed to make use of the space if you have lots of items so the space in our room has never been a big issue for us. The staff are the best part of the accomodation 100%. Every single staff member that we've spoken to since we first moved in has gone above and beyond for us and if we have ever had any issues they have resolved them straight away. They're always there to help if you're feeling homesick and they arrange parties that suit everyone's taste so its a great way to socialise with other people living in halls. I will definitely be rebooking this accomodation until I leave university!

At first, I really love Student Roost – St. Mungo's accommodation. Unfortunately, the real situation that I faced I feel it not comfortable as they promote! 1. Noisy and blame Asian student even if the student share the evident 2. Not have hot water almost the month! And no compensation as they promise 3. Unprofessional of the manager! But the staffs are lovely and helpful

I really enjoyed staying here last year however, this year has been a major letdown. The first week of moving into the new room our toilet didn't flush, it took 4 people to fix it. It was suggested that we use the communal toilet if we needed to go which was downstairs at the other side of the building. There was a rattling noise behind our fridge for one month which kept us awake through the night, it took again around 4 people to inspect the noise however, none knew why it was happening and was left until we were down nearly everyday asking for it to be resolved. It was then 'fixed' by a box filled with insulation which only merely dampened the sound, you can still here it at night. Around two months ago there was no hot water for 24 days, we tried to cancel our contract because at this point we had had enough, but as we tried on the 23rd day we were unable to because at this point the water was fixed, therefore there was no case for us to stand on.

I have lived here since September 2019. I personally do not have a bad things to say about the staff or building. I can see from the comments below that a lot of people have a lot they wish to get off their chests but I think these people below need to also remember the people receiving abuse are just people like you and me? It is sickening to see the bad reviews and social media posts and comments about people in this building. Such a sad world when people act and treat others this way. The building is great, lovely facilities and the staff are great. Regardless to what others are saying I would highly recommend living here. BS

I would highly recommend peeps not to book this accommodation. Since we have got not hot water, both managers tried to avoid this hassle by taking annual leave from the second week. Only the front desk staff were sitting there to calm us down without any solutions. Admin staff on facebook deleted all our posts and comments and restricted our chats on facebook.

Very poor accommodation experience. There was no hot water for three weeks in a row, and the management didn't do anything. They dragged on. They said that the new water heater had arrived, but now it hasn't. And in this cold season, no matter what you do or bathe, no hot water is a serious problem for your health.

The room is small but the rent is so high 2. There is no advantage except that it’s near the business school. No supermarkets or any restaurants nearby and it’s so inconvenient. 3. Managers here are not responsible, when students encounter problems they won’t fix it but muddle through. 4. Clean? That is such a joke. Full of bad smells everyday in the hall, gyms are never cleaned, Washing machines have disgusting garbage etc. 5. Oh, maybe it just for local students and other countries students, Our Chinese students are not allowed to invite our friends come here. Some of the stuffs treat Asian people badly. 6. They are always noisy, making the place dirty. 7. There are no hot water for 25days, can you imagine that??? If you want to take cold shower in February, welcome to Mungo!
Hi, I'd like to address all your comments. The boiler situation is now resolved. Not as quick as we would like but resolved nonetheless, we always had hot water it was just limited at certain times. Chinese students make up the majority of our residents so the idea that we wouldn't allow chinese people inside is very dissapointing to hear, especially that it's simply not true. We have plenty of supermarkets and restaurants within a 2 minute walk, so again this seems very strange for you to say such things. We always allow our guests to have friends over, the only time we would ask any of your friends to leave is if they are causing extreme noise at a time that it upsets other guests living in the building. It hurts us to think that you think these things of any of the team working here and would ask you to come visit us at reception to speak about any concerns and we can go from there. Thanks

Very bad experience, there is no hot water for 1 month, it is recommended not to choose this apartment! Because the staff did not deal with the problem of hot water in time! What is the experience of using ice water in the cold winter? Really not recommended

Please do not book this student accommodation. It is the most expensive accommodation near Strathy uni but we have got no hot water for over 3 weeks. Nothing has been done to solve this issue and there is no temporary solution at all. The staff have kept asking us to be patient. How can I be patient in such cold weather and I need to take cold showers every day ?????

There is no hot water in the case of not timely treatment, resulting in the entire apartment for three weeks without hot water. Sometimes the front desk service staff have a bad attitude. Everything is delayed. The toilet seat in the room is broken. I had a reaction when I checked the apartment before. No one came to deal with it for half a year.

so bad experience in here, no hot water, manager Nadia only let the local students can invite friends to come in the accommodation, however, Asian and Chinese students cannot. Because of this Coronavirus period, the bias in Asia maybe.
Hi, Your review is totally wrong i'm afraid. We are extremely welcoming to all communties. The only time anyone in the building would be asked to leave is if they were causing a lot of noise & upsetting other residents with this. Nadia (Who is also asian fyi ) is always putting on events to welcome people from all backgrounds at St.Mungos. Your comments seem to keep coming up in many reviews with the same account and it is very sad that you feel this way and feel the need to make up fake complaints. I am a current resident in this establishment and I think it is appalling the way some residents are acting due to the hot water problem. Yes there has not been HOT water for averaging two weeks however the company and management have kept us up to date with every step along the way and done nothing but apologise profusely. The other tenants here do forget that if a boiler has broken and another is on order there is nothing the management can do. We do have warm water in the building as we have been informed we are using the back up system and I can confirm I am still able to shower as much as everyone else with warm water. It makes me sick that there are so many other problems in the world and everyone chooses to be nasty and vile to Nadia on site when I can see she has and is doing everything she possibly can. It shows there really are some people in the world who need to open there eyes and deal with matters in a better way. Shame on all of you. Thank you Nadia #BeKind #GrowUp

The worst experience i had in an accommodation. 15 days without warm water and staff and management unable to give us the day of getting fixed lying to us and no compensation. Stay away of this accomodation if u value ur health and overall university experiences

Unhelpfull staff. Managment the worst never heard or solve complains on time and the worst of time more than 2 weeks without warm water and of top of that lies of day it will get fixed and no compensation given. Seriously do not stay in this accomodation both for the experience, health and hygiene.

I have been staying here for the past 2 years. This is one of the best places to stay in Glasgow. The staff are super friendly and very understanding. Any problems with the maintenance is taken care immediately. The location is excellent. Very close to supermarkets, train stations and two major universities. All in all its a lovely accommodation to stay in, both your privacy and social social experience are kept intact. And cannot emphasize this more but the staff are really helpful which will lead to your experience a memorable one. Please stay here you wont regret it

This is my 2nd year at st mungos and it’s been amazing. The staff are incredible and so friendly especially when they always help you whenever you get locked out of your room! Since the first time i have arrived i felt so welcomed by all the staff. Nadia and garry are really lovely and have been so pleasant with me. If i ever have anything i want to discuss or need advice i feel these 2 make it a priority to ensure i am ok. I have friends in other student accommodations like merchant studios and dobbies point and they all say im so lucky because i brag about mine and they dont receive the same. Happy to hear fiona has left as she did not exactly make people feel welcome she was always " too busy " But i would definitely recommend living here.

really decent place and value for money. close to the city centre, subway station, train station and the bus station. The ground floor is also decent and you never feel suffocated because there is so much space

Friendliest staff around and coolest building. prices are high but so but worth it as everything is included. so sad i couldnt book for next year as this is my last but i will for sure come in and see gary and nadia they make me laugh so much and always help with my forgetfulness and stupidity and just make me feel welcome. only thing i would recommend for the building is another vending machine as the one they currently have is for oaka and im not a huge fan or chinese foods. everything else is awesome

I Love to say I live here!! The building is clean, cute, and well designed. Rooms are warm, comfortable and functional, with plenty of storage space. Staff are extremely friendly and easy to talk to. Plus, there's always an event going on! Couldn't imagine spending the school year anywhere else! It is expensive but worth it because everything in the building is included so no hidden costs only thing you pay for is the washing and drying. The Gym, private study, cinema, gallery, pool and table tennis games, coffee station is all included. Fabulous

Affordable comfortable and friendly are just some key words to describe the enjoyment of living at st Mungo’s Student Roost the cleanliness could improve and better food in the vending machines would be helpful as I am not someone who enjoys a lot of Chinese foods and sweets I feel basic crisps chocolate and fizzy juice should definitely be an option available for students

Best student halls around I live in the gym most days and the fact the residence provides one all inclusive is the best thing for me. The social space is awesome and we have had some great party’s and events so far. Raj and Nadia are my favourites as they are always smiling and nothing is too much X

The actual rooms are a good value for money however services such as the laundry are extremely expensive. However if there was machines in the rooms with a higher rent it would personally suit me better. The Wifi is so temperamental and even during non peak times there are massive dips and in my room there is not a good signal (however I am furthest away from the Wireless Access Point). The social spaces are a great place to have fun and socialize around. Specific staff are great to have a talk with ever now and then specifically, Gary, Emily and Jim as the night staff is the only time I have to talk to staff.

St Mungos is a very lovely student accommodation with cleaning study room. Their staffs are also lovely and they do their best to help student to fix problems. In terms of the location, it is very close to the city center and all the public transportation is very convenience here.

I wouldn’t live anywhere else for student accommodation and would recommend here tremendously. You really have everything you need and meet the nicest of people. Staff asked if I wanted to reebook and there was no question about it. Great place to live. Events so far have been awesome and you can at any time go to reception and have a chat with the staff

it's the perfect place to stay. Feels like home, especially of the lovely staff. It's convenient because it is close to the University as well as the city center. I'd highly recommend this place to other students.

Great building and staff! Think they should re think the laundry service they use as it’s not been working for nearly 4 days now and I have no clean clothes. Just been emailed to say it’s back up and running however howlong will it be for this time? Smarten up Student Roost l, you are better than this.

Student Halls are usually basic but St Mungo’s are far from basic. It is different and unique from loads of others, including other student roosts! I was in two minds between choosing here and St James house and I am so happy I chose here. The staff are great you honestly don’t feel like you are speaking to authority it’s like having a normal conversation with a friend who is giving you advice. The cinema is awesome and the gym! My room is very comfortable and has a great courtyard view. My boyfriend also uses any excuse to come over so it’s not just me that loves it here

The staff is super friendly and helpful, maintenance is always quick, the building is kept clean, the rooms are cute and well designed, the amenities are wonderful, and the constant service is awesome! There's absolutely nothing about living here that makes me regret my choice♡

I absolutely love all the people who work st mungos, and are available to help you any moment. I have some medical issues and I just feel very safe. Also it's very welcoming, clean and it feels like a warm home when you come into the main 'lobby'. They have a lot of fun events, and they really care about the students who live there

Moved in around mid September. It is honestly the best decision i have made i am thoroughly enjoying my stay here. Staff during the days and night are fab you can get the best banter with them as well as confide in them if needed. Really looking forward to what is yet to come. This place has been great so far. My school is eta 10 minute away and very good walking distance. The place is very big and open with special areas which is good like study area so nice and peaceful. WiFi is okay but would be better if we could connect more than a few devices. There is option to upgrade but not free. Room is big enough and have nice views. Free drinks for morning everyday which is nice. The security is nice and helpful. Gerry Emily & Nadia have been so nice and have been welcoming and at night time gerry has helped me with my sad thoughts on leaving home. Thank you I plan to stay one more year after as it is nice quiet building with no crazy people. Qi lin

Left the premises on Friday and I have to say I will miss this place. Genuine help and support all around. Fantastic facilities and accommodation. Kitchen cleaning was very unorganised but I assume it would be different this year. Thanks to everyone and especially Nadia

We're glad you had such a good time with us, the kitchen cleans toward the end of last year were planned to stop towards the end as we needed our team to concentrate on new check in's and making sure all our rooms were looking great - these aren't intended to replace generally mainitaining the cleanliness by the tennants more just a top up. My friends and i lived here for around one year, have now got a private flat share for next year due to the price increase. We all had a great time here, threw our own party's, barbecues, slumber party nights in the cinema. We genuinely had the best first year at this student accommodation. It is not a strict building so you can come and go, you will get a slap on the wrist if needed but they very much ask you to respect them and the building and allow you to be yourselves. My boyfriend surprised me coming over from Greece with Flowers and Nadia secretly helped him hide in the cinema and play our favorite movie on the screen and asked me to help her in the cinema with something. It was a beautiful surprise and this is the kind of thing to expect at this student accommodation. Thanks Nadia and thank you to all staff.

An excellent place to stay, especially if you’re studying at Strathclyde or Cali, not far from Aldi, Sainsbury's or local newsagents, City centre is 10 minutes walk away with a huge variety of shops and bus stops as well as train station and subways. 24/7 Cover at residency so someone is always available to assist your needs. This was my last year of studying and I wish it was here the last few years as I have lived in Collegelands, Buchanan view and Dobbies Point and they have nothing that St Mungo’s has to offer. Great staff and facilities. Definitely recommend living here.

I check out yesterday I am very sad to leave St Mungo’s and my friends. I have the best time here at this student accommodation they help you with everything and more. My room was great and I met friends for life. Nadia has helped me for a whole year from the day I move in to day I leave. I brought my family to meet her. I cannot thank you enough Nadia u made me feel at home and comfortable always. Many thanks to all st. Mungos staff and special thanks to Nadia. ❤️

All the staff who work here are friendly and helpful, I spoke a lot with Nadia and she always helped me and waved and spoke to me when she seen me. Security always help let you in if you lock yourselves out. The common space is super cool and very spacious. The office can accept deliveries for you which is helpful. The location is great and 10 minutes walk to City Centre. My girlfriend came to stay for one week and she was unhappy when she had to travel back to her home. I will leave here in a few days and i am very sad.

St Mungo’s Halls have a lovely social community with plenty of facilities. The staff (the whole group of people from our receptionist to the security guards) are friendly and are dealing very quickly with any issue appearing. As safety is a crucial issue for all the students, I can tell that I feel very safe. I do recommend for students to live the experience of making new friends as well as joining parties and the cheerful times at our common room (watching TV, playing table games, pool and more). I've been enjoying my time so far and I will be living here the following year too, as this accommodation is less than five minutes far away from University. Thank you very much St Mungo’s Team, you are the best!

Central location ideally situated near GCU, Strathclyde and Glasgow City College. Staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. Great living conditions that creates a comfortable environment- ideal accommodation for the transition from student halls to private. Option to book with friends is excellent. Really enjoying my stay here :)

Great location with affordable rent, nice flat. Staff are amazing and it always feels safe. Maybe bigger fridge though but apart from that, amazing place to live❤️

The building is the safest in the city with 24 hour security and staff presence to make sure only those who are supposed to be here are here! never worry when we are around ( which is all the time ) the fridges aren't huge but our communal kitchen ( the galley ) could be useful if you want to store some things Hope you're having a great time! Studio are very comfortable and well furnished. The only thing that I consider less positive is that you need to have you're own kitchen's and bathroom's equipment (like pans, plates, glasses, vacuum cleaner, hand blender, towels, and other). The staff is amazing and very available to respond to your doubts or concerns. We have a lot of facilities, like gym, laundry, cinema room, playroom, study room and a gallery. They organize a lot of events along the year. So, I truly recommend this place because is like a second home.

I absolutely love living here! The building itself is very clean, cute, and well designed. Rooms are cozy and functional, with plenty of storage space. Staff is extremely friendly and easy to talk to. Plus, there's always an event going on! Couldn't imagine spending the school year anywhere else

As a foreign exchange student, this has been the perfect accommodation. Very close to several universities and nearby shopping areas. Staff is friendly and shorter leases are available. The building is stylish and clean with lots of community areas. Definitely recommend!

Expensive but worth it everything in the building is included so no hidden costs only thing you pay for is the washing and drying. Gym included and cinema included

What can I say, what an amazing place . Having the time of my life here and have to give a big shout out to my main man Gary. He’s gone above and beyond, literally bent over backwards to make my experience.

Our overall experience at the accomodation was very pleasant. We enjoyed living here for the past year and would definitely recommend it to anyone who can afford it. The reception and security staff were always helpful and friendly at any time of the day. There is 24h reception so if you are expecting a delivery you can rest assured they will accept it on your behalf and keep it safe for you untill your collection ( just make sure you bring your ID or they make you go back to your room and get it) We had several cases where something needed fixing in our studio and they were always responsive and quick to fix it for us..(usually the same or next working day) So if you are looking for a place to live close to uni, in the heart of the city centre and with lots of social events, you should definitely consider this place.

Great place to live!! The location is amazing, even for students studying at the University of Glasgow. It is a 10 minute walk to the subway station, and within 20/25 minutes you are home. The hall management employees are super friendly, always are up for a chat and directly fix your problems or answer your questions. The fact that there is always someone there gives a safe feeling. The studios itself are very nice and modern. The social spaces are clean, very big and there is a pool and ping pong table, study room and a large tv in cinema with playstation and apple tv and netflix for anyone to use. It is probably one of the best value for money you will find in the city of Glasgow. I would 100% recommend this accommodation!

Best value for money compared to all the other halls in glasgow. The staff are absolutely lovely, from the managers to the receptionists to the cleaning staff to the maintenance staff. Loved my time staying at st mungos student roost and very pleased with my choice

Convenient uni access, Cali and Strathclyde within 10 mins walk and Glasgow Uni around 15/20 min walk. Good internet access, really wonderful and helpful staff! Would definitely 100% recommend!

Lots of things add up to the best imaginable student life experience and accommodation is key. Having someone offer to help you carry your shopping, if you forget your key and someone is happy to assist letting you in your room and not huffing and puffing, advice on eating out, nightlife, offering you something to eat or drink when paying your rent. Offering to print some documents when noticing your going to the library for this and its raining outside. St mungos never ever made me feel as though i was asking too much of them. I remember we had the most amazing welcome party and loads of other partys including Halloween throughout my year i genuinely cant fault this building. There was a lovely night shift worker named Gale who i got on really well with and also nadia and fiona at front of house were always fab. BOL to everyone. Thank you for my experience x

The staff are very helpful and always friendly to me. ( Gemma and Nadea) The rooms and social areas are very spacious and comfortable. Overall, a very good experience to live in Saint Mungos. Great Wifi access and lots of free food and drinks.

Really enjoyed staying at Student roost st mungos. The staff were so nice and helpful, especially nadia the manager. The halls are a bit pricier than others but so so worth paying that bit extra. The building was clean and secure with someone always at reception to greet you. All around a lovely place to stay. No air conditioning so it can be very hot but i bought a fan from ebay for £13. If anyone else feels the hotness i suggest you do the same.

St mungo is a great accommodation for any year of study, catering to all and has great WiFi & facilities. The staff are also super helpful and make the stay away from home easier. My last year of studying otherwise I would definitely stay another year!

Immensely enjoyed my experience here couldn’t have asked for a better time. Glasgow in general is also great! The rooms are extremely spacious, good kitchen space and Cinema. I want to thank the staff aswell for making me so at home, thanks to saf for being so on the ball with my requests and making everything feel easy, so kind and genuine. Thanks to Gary for the laughs during the night when exams were causing insomnia and thanks to Bernice for being so down to earth and crazy, keeping my spirits high! Will miss u guys a lot. Overall amazing experience, only downfall is the price has rocketed up for next year which I can’t afford :(

My last year would not have been possible without this place! The study area is phenomenal and the fact it’s 24 hours you can literally go and study whenever you see fit. In me and my friends opinion the staff were just bloody brilliant at being on hand for Customer Service, maintenance, enquiries or just a chat. Glad to see a lot of people agree that they are awesome and the people who don’t then I I feel you should have done something sooner rather than wait to leave a bad review when the damage is done? The room is also very great and spacious! The cinema adds a great perk if you want out your room but don’t feel like going outside and the hosting kitchen if fantastic for having friends over. I just want to say Well done to the team for the building as I have honestly had a ball.

Oh my god I have had the best time at student roost st Mungo’s. at the beginnings I didn’t think I would like it because I didn’t know anyone but St Mungo’s threw this amazing party and brought so many of us like together from there I really started to enjoy my journey here. I share a kitchen with 5 other people but we are all really great friends now and I am so comfortable here. You can go to reception any time and speak to staff if I am board and they really make you feel special. They always wave at you when you are coming inside and going outside the building. I am staying here next year because I am not ready to leave yet!

My boyfriend and I had a really great experience at this accommodation our room was a great size and never had any issues. They always put on activities and events and made sure everyone was having a good time. The staff and management are also not afraid of having banter with the students as well as admitting if they have done something wrong but quick to justify it. Our parents were always glad we were included in something or knew we were safe as the building is 24/7 covered with security. Awesome cool place. Town centre is within walking distance. As a student you live on a budget however the team have fed me more than I have fed myself and put on lots of events and activities that enable you to socialise and make new friends. Reception also introduced me to other students studying the same course as me so I have study buddies. Totally awesome!!

I enjoyed my first year away from home here, I shared an en-suite and I made friends for life. I don’t have anything to fault except the cleaning, I have witnessed other students dumping rubbish on the floors instead of the bin. I did see the staff cleaning this up regularly but something needs to be put in place to help stop students being able to do this it’s extremely unhygienic. Everything else was good

Great place! Ask for a room on a higher floor level I would have loved to stay longer but can’t afford the high prices next year

Yes unfortunaetly our prices have went up £10 per week but if you are booking for the whole academic year and in an ensuite this can be offset with our £10 discount. Living at st mungos was an amazing experience! Totally recommended! Facilities are of high quality, value for money and staff always here to help! Especially, Nadea (one of the managers) was extremely helpful anytime!!

Really enjoyed my stay with student roost, st mungos. Accommodation is great quality, staff are really friendly and down-to-earth, parcel collection is really convenient. Lots of Chinese students, most of who are nice. Sad the price has gone up for next year understandably but not in my budget so have to look elsewhere :(
Hi! Thank you for the great review. Sadly our price has gone up but only by £10 a week, and every penny goes to keeping the high standards we have so it all goes into your time here. My postgraduate year would not have been possible without this place! The study area is a phenomenal escape from the crowded libraries at uni. To add to this the staff were just bloody brilliant at being on hand for maintenance, enquiries or just a chat when you’ve been cooped up for long periods. Glad to see a lot of people agree that they are awesome! The room is also very great and spacious if you choose the disabled room option. Bon voyage you all!

I spent a whole year in a studio flat and that was an incredible experience!! Perfect location to reach the city centre in 5 minutes walk, quiet, but also lots of supermarkets, kebabs, and nice places to eat out. All the staff is extremely caring and nice, lots of activities organised by the team to keep students active and increase opportunities to socialise. Also great support whenever you need anything. The building is brand new and dynamic. In a nutshell, what are you waiting for, book St Mungos!! :-)

Choosing st mungos as my accommodation has been one of the best decisions I made since I got to Glasgow. The warm reception, friendly management team, clean environment, they organised events both educational and fun! It has been a wow experience! St Mungos is really a home away from home

St mungos is definitely the place to stay in Glasgow. The staff make the place even better than what it is already. Fiona, Nadia, Safa and Gemma have stood out the most to me. Always available and up for general chit chat no matter how busy they are. Would stay here again if i wasnt moving cities. All the best to everyone for the future

Really really enjoyed my experience here couldn’t have asked for a better time. I went in brand new to Glasgow without knowing anyone and I was located in a flat with friends who I think will remain for life and for that I’m greatful. The rooms are super functional, great kitchen space and living space downstairs. I want to thank the staff aswell for making me so at home, thanks to saf for being so on the ball with my requests and making everything feel easy, so kind and genuine. Thanks to Gary for the laughs during the night when exams were causing insomnia and thanks to Bernice for being so down to earth and crazy, keeping my spirits high! Will miss u guys a lot. Overall amazing experience, only downfall is the price has rocketed up for next year which I can’t afford :(

This accommodation is an awesome place. It is not far from University of Strathclyde ( 5 mins walk) and near Aldi. There are basic things in the kitchen already provided for you. Staff is very kind and ready to help you when you face any problems.There is always free events on for students to attend, staff are very friendly and approachable. Made loads of new friends which has made the whole experience a great one. The facilities on site are great too. Any maintenance issues have been resolved super quick along with the fortnightly kitchen cleans help A LOT! These are the reasons why I choose to live here another year.

really enjoy my experience at st mungos i am sad to go back to my country i will miss everyone and what they offer to me and other students my bedroom and shared kitchen were very good sizes and we had lots of space the building is very big and always feel comfortable. thank you to gary for keeping me company at evening times and nadia for helping me when i have questions and need help she always help me and is very nice to me. I will miss all staff and st mungos

Good price, excellent location! Very close to the strathclyde university and caledonian university, Also close to a Sainsburies and 10 minute walk to city centre which is incredibly convenient! Great social events have been held, variation of rooms so you're bound to find a room/flat type to suit you! 24/7 staff on so always available to help with anything. Would definitely stay here again given the opportunity! Thanks to Nadia and Fiona for all their help too. Great place and people.

Room is very nice and practical with good location of city center. However hall manager is very dismissive and does not keep her word when following important things up regarding previously made promises etc. Staff at the front keep the place afloat, 10/10 for them and the room

The staff are absolutely amazing here and it just feels like my home. I would not live any where else even though some places are cheaper. They do everything for you so why would I leave!! They are always keen to help! I had the best experience in mungos, living in a comfortable space was definitely the best to focus on my masters!! I would totally recommend it.

Belongs to the one of Glasgow premium student accommodation in City Center, unfortunately, due to it just finished construction, still many things need to be completed perfectly. I satisfied with the new equipment, but in terms of their commitment to clean the kitchen bi-weekly is intolerable.
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, Absoloutley spot on we are indeed a premium accomodation and our first few months weren't without some teething issues due to the building being brand new, but thanks to our great team and residents everything is exactly where it needs to be and up to the highest of standards. In terms of the bi-weekly kitchen cleans, we do our utmost to keep these areas in tip top condition but we can't do it without the help of our residents who live in them. If we all work together I know that we can all achieve perfection, however if you have any unique concerns please don't hesistate to come and see us at our 24 hour manned reception to discuss any issues you believe might be hindering this vision. I'm not sure what equipment you mean but everything from our fully kitted out gym, cinema & study are all the best quality for the best residents. Thank you again for the feedback
Staying with St Mungo’s this year was a blast. From the start it was so clear that the on-site team were helpful with any questions you may bring to them. Events organised by the onsite team gave great opportunities to get to know one another who live in the building. All the facilities included are in great condition, with easy access to them at all times. The location is amazing with City Centre a 5/6 minutes walk away and the Strathclyde university campus being 2 minutes away also. The rooms are great, with everything that you need comfortably packed into the studio room. The large windows allow plenty of natural light into the room and heating allows you to keep it at a comfortable temperature of your choice. Extremely happy to have stayed here and have rebooked for next year i have also recommended to all my university friends.

Staff = Incredible! Nadia! We had so many laughs. Nadia is incredibly helpful from getting my parcels to helping me carry my belongings down/up stairs when the elevator was out. She also got me and my mum a bottle of water and some biscuits/sweets to keep our sugar levels up when we said we had not had any food. Incredibly sweet she is! She is always doing something and never to busy to help. Gemma has also been a great help to me at my time at St Mungos, she always takes the time to explain things properly if you don't understand and is also always very kind and available to help. Everyone else has been super too. Jealous of new people moving in now as my time is up! You will love it...

I have had a fantastic stay here at Student Roost, St. Mungo’s! All staff are friendly, helpful and always available! The building is insanely cool, and events and social space make everything worth it. We have a hosting kitchen and a cinema in our home!?!? Unreal!

Room is small and always feels like a furnace. Even in the winter with the window open 24/7 we couldn't get the room to cool down. Staff varies in usefulness, sometimes got told different things by different staff (for example, one told me that they couldn't give more than one key even for dual tenancy, but another said I'd be able to get one). Lift has been out more often than not recently. Security is often not at reception or asleep at the desk. Some of the back doors don't close properly either. Not sure what the point is in having to scan a card to enter the main entrance when you can just go round the side and get in easily. They also don't let you know in advance before maintenance knocks down your door. They also invent maintenance as a form of room checking - was supposed to be "essential" floor maintenance which they weren't able to do in my room on a certain day, but when they could do it they never showed up. There are more issues but no room in the box to type them. Avoid.

since i came to Glasgow were more than welcoming, the staff and security in the building were helpful and assisted me beyond their job requirements specially Bernice, Gary, Amy, Keirn and Nadia. I want to thank them because they gone to the extra mile. the only downside were the heater in the room were not working for more than a week plus the room is quit small.

Living in St Mungo's has been a fab experience as a whole however what this accommodation in particular has going for it is its fantastic reception staff. It's the little things that go a long way - just a wave hi when you come in is nice enough, it's a breath of fresh air to have them actually care about the resident's quality of life and they're always available just for a wee chat. The building has a lively vibe and there's always something on in the social spaces, due mostly to the upkeep of things like the pool table and table tennis, as in other student accommodations these things can fall quickly in to disrepair. As for the price, I can't speak for when they go up next year however the inclusion of the 24-hour facilities particularly the gym makes it worth it in my eyes as well as the central location being a major plus, being in walking distance from the city center is always desirable. Some teething problems as this is the 1st year of being open however would highly recommend.

I lived in a shared house, it wasn’t the best but it was fine for my first year

We're more than a shared house, you have the best of both worlds here, you can have all the privacy you want in your en suite/studio apartment, or make the best of our communal areas, like our cinema, 24 hour gym, games hall & study rooms. Be very wary, building work was rushed and not finished to standard (cladding did not have insulation below it) resulting in mould in my daughters room including under her mattress. The reaction to this was very slow with endless emails,phone calls and ultimately a parent trip to meet with staff to arrange a plan to address the problem. The problem started in October a month after she moved in and I am still waiting for confirmation that the problem has been fixed (it is now May) The final insult, an overdue rent email when I am still waiting for the to invoice me with the discounted rental charge.

It's a great location in a large new building. Management always puts on great events, often with free food and drinks. It's a little expensive, but the shared kitchens are large and every room has an ensuite, so no sharing!

The location is the biggest advantage and the staff is really nice. Common facilities are great and well maintained. The rents are quite high but it could be deemed a trade-off. Social activities are frequent and will be a plus for sociable people.

Is a lovely place if you are into the social aspect of it, services are usually very good (Reception, cleaning etc) with only occasional caveats. Location is a big plus for it; price is definitely steep all things considered however.

St mungo is a great accommodation for any year of study, catering to all and has great WiFi & facilities. The staff are also super helpful and make the stay away from home easier

Lived here for three months now. When I first moved glasgow I feel quite nervous and scared but here throw mixers and we get to know people. I meet many friends here and can still relaxation in my room if I want. There is people on desk 24 hours so nobody can just walk I’m off the street that I like being safe. Cinema room and a big kitchen if having friends round. Staff all support me and very nice
