Woodside House Biography
Woodside House is a stunning and centrally located student accommodation in the heart of Glasgow. The University of Glasgow is only a fifteen-minute walk away, whilst the University of Strathclyde and other popular universities are within easy walking distance. The accommodation roasts close proximity to a fantastic selection of buzzing bars, shops and restaurants, creating the ideal student experience.
Residents are spoiled for choice with the fantastic amenities on offer; including the games room, free gym, cinema room, dinner party room, and stunning glass-walled sky lounge. There are also regularly scheduled social events! For added convenience, the building features study rooms, a meeting room, laundry facilities, WiFi, a reading room, a safe bike store, and vending machine. Students benefit from the dedicated residents’ team, content insurance, and CCTV for an added sense of security.
Woodside House offers a range of contemporary designed studios, all designed with students’ needs in mind. The spacious rooms are equipped with everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as can be, including a bean bag sofa, a workspace, an en-suite shower room, a mini-kitchen, and a small double bed.

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

The staffs are friendly and the building is clean but the wi-fi is very poor. location is also quite far away.
My friends are jealous with our amazing pizza nights. Staffs are kind and nice~
Very good location with amazing management, very well placed in the city. Social experiences are very fun, especially the Halloween events. The main issue is the internet, however this is not cause by the building itself, but the internet provider themselves.

Great student accommodation, perfect location near Kelvingrove park, Kelvinbridge Subway & University of Glasgow. Covid has made it difficult for all, but the staff is super friendly & tries their best to help everyone.

Woodside House is a great place to live while studying in Glasgow. The staff is so kind and helpful. Security staff is also always ready whenever needed. Unfortunately with COVID-19, social spaces have been closed (therefore the 3 stars). The social experience during a pandemic is surprisingly good. I recommend this place for all students who look for peace of mind while studying abroad.
A lovely, fully equipped accommodation. The environment is nice, comfortable living.
Lovely reception and staffs, comfort bed and sofa, and the most important reason for me to choose this apartment is that the decoration style is my favorite! The only one disadvantage is that the location is a little bit far away from university.
