Albany Student Village Biography
You can roll out of bed and be on campus in no time as Coventry University and the University of Warwick are a simple walk, cycle, or e-scooter ride away from Albany Student Village.
It has the largest amount of amenities of any student block in the city! Some of the spaces include chill-out areas equipped with games and a coffee dock, a cinema room, private and group study hubs, and a theatre kitchen. It offers a private gym, aerobics studio as well as three outdoor courtyards which are kitted out with table tennis and exercise equipment. The essentials are covered with on-site laundry, Wi-Fi, postage service, Sherpr service, free on-site parking and safe cycle storage. It's safe and secure, monitored by 24-hour CCTV, a security app, and the 24-hour on-site team. There's also a jam-packed calendar of social events to join.

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

I feel like ASV is a bit out of most people's price range but it offers a lot for its cost. It's much more comfortable and amenable than most regular flats/houses a student could rent.
Good and affordable accommodation
The stay here has been great so far. The facility works really well, someone is always available and the room is cozy. Gym is well equipped. Kitchen carries everything I need.

Amazing accommodation for students!
Decent place to live would recommen
Before moving to the UK, I was quite skeptical about living off-campus. This was my first time in the country, and I didn’t know anyone, so finding the right accommodation felt overwhelming especially since all on-campus residences were booked out. After extensive online research, I found Albany Student Village to be the most affordable and flexible option—especially when it came to guarantor requirements and payment plans. Many student accommodations require a UK guarantor, or else they demand full rent upfront for the entire contract. As a scholarship student with no connections in the UK, this was a major concern. However, the Accommodation Manager, Nicky, was incredibly understanding and allowed me to pay monthly, which made a huge difference. The location is also a big plus—just a 15-mins walk to Coventry City Centre and a 12-mins bus ride to Uni of Warwick. The property itself is newly built, well-maintained, and provides a comfortable living environment. Highly recommended!
All round good accommodation, clean and nice to have a gym and common room with pool on site
Overall, it was a nice experience. The room, albeit small, was very clean and functional. Unfortunately there was no vacuum cleaner available to the flat

I have enjoyed my stay at ASV so far. The facilities are amazing, maintenance is efficient and the rooms are lovely.
The accommodation has very nice amenities. However, when you request them to fix something it can take a quite long time to have it sorted.
Quiet, clean and well managed accommodation. Quite expensive for what it is, but in line mostly with other properties. Wi-Fi is fast, but can sometimes be unreliable. Studio apartments are very nice, and the shower pressure is extremely good.
Very good accomodation that provides for all your needs
Really happy with Albany this year. Good location to shops, train station, town centre, and bus stops to university. Ensuite room is very comfy, kitchen and living area is spacious and common room and gym of good quality.

Good place, not expensive, clean environment
A Great Place for International Students: As an international student from Germany, I initially struggled with finding accommodation, especially since I was informed only a week before my arrival that I hadn’t secured a room on campus. Thankfully, the university directed me to Albany Student Village, and in hindsight, I’m incredibly grateful for that. The accommodation is modern, clean, and well-designed, making it a comfortable place to live. There is always someone available from the management team, which made me feel supported throughout my stay. I spent six months here during my exchange semester, and it truly felt like home. I can wholeheartedly recommend Albany Student Village to any student looking for a reliable and welcoming place to stay.
Actual property is lovely and good for the price. Advertised as free parking, I was not informed on the very limited parking (20 spaces for hundreds of people living there) and parking availability was a very large aspect of me moving here. I quickly found Albany Student Village’s claim of free and available parking to be false advertisement. The staff have been very unsupportive in coming to a conclusion about this problem; in fact next year they will be charging people >£500 to get a permit to park there, this has caused me to 100% confidently say I will not be rebooking for my second year there. Bins around the accommodation are rarely changed leading to litter being dotted around the “green areas” which is disappointing.
An excellent place to stay! The studio apartments are incredible and the communal areas are just amazing! A perfect place to socialise and have friends visit. The only issue is the lack of parking onsite and some of the surrounding neighbours are not the most friendly when you park on the street. Apart from that it is an excellent place to live!
The accommodation is pricier than most others in the area, but in a quiet area. 15 min walk from the train station and main bus interchange, 20 from town. There is a bus stop 5min walk down the road to get to warwick uni. Not the nicest area to walk in when it’s dark but lots of students around No cleaners in kitchen/flat but communal areas are clean enough. Lots of flats not provided with houseware (hoover, microwave, kettle) and have been told to buy our own. Maintenance requests are fulfilled in good time though. Free gym and social area, big kitchen and cinema room. Laundry has 8 machines and dryers and is 4£ for a wash and dry.
Overall I can definitely recommend to stay here if you study at the university of Warwick, Cheaper en suite then on Campus, very modern, everything works!

Have had many issues could be due to the type of students that inhibit the building but lack of inherent care from owners for students. For instance out of office hours number is hard to reach which can be dangerous if people are locked out in the middle of the night etc.

As this is a new accomodation, the facilities are exceptional. The access to an indoor gym as well as outdoor exercise facilities is very unique and offers significant value for money. Furthermore, the amenities (such as water and heating) are reliable and included in the price which is important.

Excellent accommodation! The staff is extremely competent and responsive (at all times of the day/night). The rooms are spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities, including fast Wi-Fi and plenty of storage space. The common areas were clean and comfortable. The location was also a major plus, with easy access to public transport, shops, and university campus.

Amazing accommodation, this is my second year here and I have rebooked for my third from September 2025. The value for money is amazing for coventry. The staff and facilities are great. The accommodation is taken great care of by the cleaners and maintenance team.

I've had a great experience living at the Albany Student Village. The facilities are excellent, with spacious rooms, well-equipped communal areas, and a gym. Staff are very responsive, friendly, and always willing to help with any issues. Whether it's a maintenance request or general queries, they handle things promptly and efficiently.. The location is convenient, with public transport and local shops in walking distance. I've felt very comfortable and safe living here which makes studying a little less stressfu. Highly recommend!

Brand new and clean building, with excellent facilities and kind and helpful staff. The communal room is exceptional, and the facilities provided are excellent value for money. An issue I had with a broken machine was resolved in less than 3 hours. Parking facilities are limited, but for the people who have a spot are safe in the knowledge that the car park is safe. Can’t go wrong if you book here!

Brilliant facilities. The manager Nicky is very helpull and always makes sure everyone one staying here is safe and comfortable. Can’t imagine this place has a crazy cinema room, sports facilities with a basketball cage and a football cage. This place is brilliant staff are amazing aswell.

I love Albany, my room is so nice and I always get compliments from friends. I genuinely love it here. The location is perfect since I go to Warwick uni, I can access both the city centre and I can get to the uni very quickly. Would definitely recommend!

I have to be honest this might be the apex of human ingenuity, brilliance and engineering. Albany Student Village is the place to be, so many different facilities and very modern aesthetic. What student accommodation has a football and basketball pitch cmon now it’s just ridiculous. Staff here are amazing, Nicky the manager most helpful person I know and always makes sure eveyone here feel safe and satisfied the receptionist Lowri super helpful and makes staying here a pleasant experience.

My stay at the Albany Student Village in Coventry was great! I was greeted with genuine kindness and a welcoming atmosphere when I arrived. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, making the check-in process easy and stress-free. The accommodation itself surpassed my expectations. My accommodation was huge, modern, and immaculately clean, with all of the conveniences I required for a comfortable stay. The well-kept communal areas provided an excellent opportunity to socialize with other residents. Albany Student Village generated a strong feeling of community, which was one of the highlights of my stay. Regular events and activities were organized, allowing me to meet new people and form long-lasting connections. Furthermore, the on-site amenities, such as the gym and study rooms, were convenient and well-equipped. Albany Student Village is conveniently located near the university campus, shopping, restaurants, and public transportation.

My time at Albany so far has definitely been interesting. I have made the friends i needed and have rebooked with them to live together next year. I enjoy the common room which has pool and ping pong tables. The cinema is definitely something i enjoy to share with my friends & family. If there is a problem it is sorted as soon as it can be. It’s definitely the way to live if you love a modern style home.

This accommodation has everything a student needs. The facilities and staff are great. There isn’t any alternatives that can match what it offers. The main thing for me being off street parking and the multi use games area. It is in an ideal location about 2 minutes from the main ring road and is close to both Warwick and coventry university.

Living at Albany Student Village has been exceptional, especially because of the superb accommodation manager Nicky, who has been attentive, friendly and always available to address any questions or requests. The accommodation is modern and beautifully decorated with exclusive outdoor sports facilities. The rooms are new and designed for productive studying and comfortable living. It also has a spacious cinema room, excellent communal rooms and amazing study pods. I highly recommend this student accommodation and the wonderful accommodation manager!
