Code student accommodation is a good student residence because It's located very close to the university, thus helps students reduce expenses It's environment and surroundings are always neat and cleaned regularly. I love the events that are usually organized which provide students with free gifts and most importantly a means to interact and make new friends. The internet connection is mind blowing. Always at a great frequency. Also, the immediate response and assistance to problems or issues by code staff is very good. The staff is very friendly and easy to approach. Security is top-notch. Rooms are very comfortable and spacious.

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

In my final year at Coventry university, this is my first year at code, so far I have thoroughly enjoyed it! Having access to Fairfax street is brilliant extra and is great if you are looking to socialise more or for a gym. The bedrooms and kitchens are good sizes and there is a good amount of storage. Parcel service has been excellent. Only thing I would warn is that it can be quite noisy at night (to be expected living in student accommodation) but specifically if your bedroom faces inwards towards the gates to get in and out. It doesn’t bother me really but if this is something that will for you just try and request to not be facing into the courtyard. Overall, very happy with Code Harper street, very pleasant experience and wish I’d been here sooner!

The location of the accommodation is amazing because it’s really nearby to the university, and it’s very good for the money because they provide a lot of free things like the gym at fairfax and different events that you can go to every month and go away with freebie's.

I booked this accommodation and before booking I was promised that there will be no construction. It's the end of October and the builders are outside of my room causing noise pollution. On top of that, there is only one washing machine for the 200+ residents

I booked this accommodation and before booking I was promised that there will be no construction. Later, I was emailed that my room was not ready due to construction. First mistake CODE made is why promise me no construction when the building is still in construction? Secondly, why was i signed to a contract to a room that does not exist and is still in construction. I was then told I would be offered another room in their Fairfax site in which I was told I had to pay a price difference which I can not afford. thus, I was given no other option but to terminate my contract. Now we are approaching end of August and I did not get my refund and I am a student and I can not be paying for two accomidations at the same time. CODE will be the cause I might not go to university this year! This place is amazing if you want to live in a construction site, having your room unavailable after booking it and waiting till god knows when to get your money back 😀!
