Urban Student Village Biography
Urban Student Village is a modern student accommodation located in the heart of Coventry. Residents will have easy access to everything the city has to offer including restaurants, local attractions and nightlife. Coventry University and the University of West London (UWL) are also within easy reach.
Get a head start on your assignments and make use of the WiFi and quiet study areas. Residents can get to know their neighbours by hanging out in the communal lounge or getting some fresh air and sunshine by spending time in the courtyard. Want to stay in shape? Then take full advantage of the fully equipped gym. For added convenience, there is bike storage and free parking. Have peace of mind knowing there is CCTV and that all utility bills are included.
Urban Student Village has a range of ensuite rooms in cluster apartments and studio rooms for students to choose from. Each cluster of apartments has between four, five and seven rooms sharing a fitted kitchen area. Each room is fully equipped with everything you will need, just add your personal touch.

What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Great service and good facilities in the studios

Great staff for the most part, but very unpleasant stay. Constant, CONSTANT issues with water, heating, plumbing, general falling apart of the room, lighting, only a couple of weeks after I moved in. Higher management didn’t seem to care about the issues I and plenty other residents had/still have. Staff didn’t tell me when a repair I had was due and entered my room while I was out which is very concerning and an invasion of privacy and didn’t say anything when I said as much - again didn’t seem to care. Some tenants very rude and disrespectful without cause - touching my clothes, verbal abuse, staff were aware and didn’t care, overall awful stay I would highly recommend avoiding this place for your stay, as I have said to every other Uni student I know here out of genuine concern for them.
Firstly may i take this opportunity to thank you for bringing this to my attention and take the opportunity to apologise that you feel let down by the service we offer. I want to inform you that we work very hard and as quickly as we possibly can to address any maintenance issues. I have investigated the team with regards to entering your room and we were given a small window of time to get the maintenance issue in your room resolved, we did knock your door and if you look at your tenancy agreement it does state that we can enter your room to carry out reasonable maintenance works. We felt at the time it was in the best interest of yourself to get this resolved, we would normally give 24 hours notice when entering but could only secure maintenance in that window of time. With regards to your feedback on other tenants, i would appreciate some further details if you could email me at sarah.jones@wearehomesforstudents.com and i will look to also resolve this. Please also do keep me informed if there is anything else i can do to make your stay a more pleasant one, i want to ensure we turn your opinion around before leaving and restore your faith in us.

Ringway House is located in a really convenient location, close to bus stops to get to uni and the city centre for all your shopping needs. My studio is spacious and I have an amazing view of the city. The property team is lovely and friendly as well.
Lovely management with lovely management, would highly recommend, it’s the little things that count and they’re always working around the clock. Nice rooms also very good value for money
I love this place been a blast since I moved in September and it’s only gone better as my journey continues with ringway house. Will definitely recommend this to any student without a shadow of a doubt and love to thank the management team (Dorota) for making my stay so pleasantt
